“Today she is back, once again to name the characters here. But, from the famous arrow game! Yes, I won't say the name of the game yet, because this is her first mission. And she will assemble not only the name of the characters, but also their story within the game.”
― Pai Troll
Arrow Funk is a remix mod created and directed by Yoisabo. It features redesigns, remixes, and an entirely new story inspired by "MINHA IRMÃ DANDO O NOME PARA OS PERSONAGENS DE FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN!", a YouTube video created by a popular Brazilian YouTuber named Pai Troll where his sister tries to guess the names of Friday Night Funkin' characters. However, there are also some original elements created by the team.
The mod had its concept made in mid-2021, when Pai Troll published a video on his Youtube channel. In the video, Pai Troll challenged his sister to try and guess the names of the FNF cast (as she had never seen them before) and then create a new story/lore based off of these guesses. Pai Troll also did another video with his sister naming FNF characters, but with mod characters. It can be expected that more of them are going to appear in the mod.
Story[]
As Pai Troll's sister said, Bidu (Boyfriend) wants to rap against everyone to be able to date Barbara (Girlfriend), just like the original FNF. Arrow Funk still has some differences with the base game, however, namely:
- Bidu raps for two reasons: to beat his rivals and to date Barbara, proving his worth. Unlike the base game, he never had a previous relationship with Dono (Pico). All of Barbara's family members think that Bidu is a bad influence.
- Barbara (now adopted) falls in love with Bidu for his attractiveness, but nobody approves since he looks like a "drug addict" and because she is too young for that.
- Grape Sago (Daddy Dearest) hunts after Bidu and wants to stop him from dating Barbara.
- Pumpkin (Pump) is from a plantation and lives in the countryside, while Death (Skid) is from Hell. One day, a hungry Death went to the plantation and met Pumpkin. The rest is unknown since Pai Troll's sister didn't elaborate any more on their story.
- Dono da Favela (Pico) is Bidu's enemy and wants to steal Barbara from Bidu.
- Malévola (Mommy Mearest) wants to protect Barbara from Bidu, who she believes is a "bad influence".
- Rotten Lemon (Monster) is a virus, not a demon, created by Grape Sago to get in the way of Bidu (with his acid), trapping him and Barbara in his world (CPU).
- Leonardo (senpai) is a character from a video game.
- Haunt (Spirit) is a soul trapped in a video game.
- Black & White (Tankman) is Barbara's security guard who uses "glasses" to be anonymous. He also does not like Bidu.
- Kevin (Henchman) is the owner of the ballad Bidu is in. He spread rumors of Bidu to earn money.
- Papai Noel (Santa Claus) owes certain gifts to the club, which was on a Christmas week. After Kevin barred him from leaving, he sang his way out (alive).

Characters[]
Bidu[]
Bidu Barbosa is the one and only playable character of Arrow Funk, who takes the role of Boyfriend in this mod. He formerly worked at Kevin's club until Kevin spread rumors about him to Barbara's father, leading him to challenge Bidu, who seems to want something more... like Barbara!
Appearance[]
1.5[]
Bidu shares physical similarities with his original counterpart, but with rounder cheeks, a smaller head, and a more eccentric smile.
He wears a black T-shirt with a white prohibition sign (which appears to be a belt that can hold small items) and a silver chain with a heart pendant. He wears baggy blue-gray pants, multicolored wristbands on each wrist, and lime green and white sneakers. Before week 1, he holds a simple gray microphone; but after week 1, he uses Grape Sago's golden mic.
Bidu's "Game Over" sprite shows his heart split into four colors: pink, blue, green, and purple, which is the trademark color combination in his design.
1.0[]
In week 2, the lightning bolts on Bidu's cap are replaced by a skull, and his multicolored wristbands are replaced by black wristbands and lime green fingerless gloves. He wears a beige/white shirt with a lime green stripe.
Bidu's older appearance simply consists of the same shirt, with the rest of his clothes remaining the same as his new normal sprite.
Trivia[]
- Bidu's week 2 costume is based off his old appearance.
- Bidu's pixelated version on the song -debug is a Arrow Funk version of the song Test.
- Unlike the base game, Bidu isn't a friend or ex of Dono. Dono is actually just trying to steal Barbara from him.
- After week 1, Bidu appears to have taken Grape Sago's mic as spoils of victory.
- Kevin spread rumors about Bidu being a druggie, thus tainting his reputation.[3]
- Initially his hair was just pink and purple.
- There is still purple in his hair, though it's just the shading of his pink hair dye.
- He doesn't know how to speak in beep boop, only Portuguese.[4]
- He has a sister named Keyllanie who may or may not make a future appearance in the mod.
- His name came from how Freezie is called in some regions of Brazil, as Barbara is very fond of ice cream.
- In fact, Bidu isn't even called "Bidu" at all. It's just a nickname Barbara gave him since she loves popsicles.
- But the real reason is because Boyfriend has cyan hair, that made Pai Troll's sister remember the character Blu from Monica's Gang.
- In fact, Bidu isn't even called "Bidu" at all. It's just a nickname Barbara gave him since she loves popsicles.

Barbara[]
Barbara is the second protagonist of Arrow Funk, being the replacement for Girlfriend. Being the girlfriend of an "adrenaline junkie" like Bidu, it seems that her parents are not very happy...
Appearance[]
Appearance (Normal)[]
Barbara is a smiling 17-year-old Brazilian girl with light brown skin, short dark brown hair with two yellow hair clips, and hot pink earrings. She wears a hot pink off-the-shoulder shirt with a black tank top underneath, blue denim shorts, white socks, and hot pink heels. She wears a gold bracelet and holds light blue popsicle in her left hand. On the left side of the speaker she sits on is a rainbow sticker with the colors of the pansexual flag.
Appearance (Week 2)[]
In week 2, Barbara wears a Queen Cleopatra costume consisting of a long white dress with a shimmery light blue hem, a gold collar-like necklace adorned with jewels, gold shoes, and a golden diadem on her head. She also wears gold earrings with rubies, two gold bracelets on each hand, and holds a hot pink popsicle in her left hand.
In VIRUS, Barbara is trapped in a green slime and her eyes are wide open.
Appearance (Week 3)[]
In week 3, Barbara wears a yellow jacket with hot pink accents, a white shirt underneath, the same blue denim shorts, fluffier white socks, and yellow sneakers with hot pink accents. She wears two hot pink hair clips and yellow hair ties in her hair. Instead of holding a popsicle like she usually does, Barbara now holds a chocolate milkshake in her left hand. She is also sitting on sewer pipe instead of on a speaker.
In Loaded, Nayara appears on the pipe next to Barbara with a small speaker put between them. Barbara has a displeased expression.
Trivia[]
- The reason she doesn't have purple skin like her parents is because she is adopted.[9]
- She doesn't know her parents aren't human.
- She always has something different in her left hand each week.
- In week 3, Barbara may have bought new clothes while passing a store in the favela.

Kevin[]
Kevin is the first and only antagonist of the week "Tutorial", owner of the club that Bidu once worked at. Being a henchman of someone who spread false rumors about Bidu to the entire neighborhood (reaching Grape Sago), he falsely wants to help him.
Appearance[]
Kevin is very similar to Mommy Mearest's henchmen in the base game. He has bright pink skin and wears a black beanie, yellow 3D glasses, and yellow star-shaped earrings. He wears a black jacket, white shirt, black belt with a pale gold buckle, black pants, and blue/red shoes matching his glasses. He wears many gold rings on his left hand and holds a shiny white mic (somewhat resembling a disco ball) in his right hand.
Trivia[]
- Kevin takes Barbara's spot in Tutorial.
- This also makes Barbara a rare case of a Girlfriend without singing animations.
- Kevin owns the clubs where the weeks go by.
- Kevin was responsible for spreading rumors about Bidu for everyone to revolt against him, including Barbara's family.
- This could also be the reason why Bidu was almost killed several times in the story.
Gallery[]
Sagu de Uva[]
Grape Sago is Barbara's father and the replacement for Daddy Dearest in the mod. He challenges Bidu after hearing rumors from Kevin that Bidu is dating his daughter.
Appearance[]
Grape Sago is a tall demon with purple skin, white hair (on his head as well as his face and chest), a gold earring in his ear as well as a gold hair clip, and a shining black and gold visor over his eyes. He wears a black suit jacket, gold belt, black pants, and pointed black shoes. On his left hand he wears a golden watch, gold ring, and holds a gold microphone.
Trivia[]
- In Rap King, his visor gains a flame effect.
- Also in Rap King, Grape slams his microphone onto the wooden floor in rage.
- He loves new cars, but hates new cars that are cheaper than old cars; so it can be said that he technically just loves expensive cars.
- The reason Grape Sago has a visor is because Pai Troll's sister in the video that originated the mod said he comes from a family with the same powers as Cyclops from X-Men, or is Cyclops' son in some way.
- He is also a professional hacker who created Rotten Lemon.
Gallery[]
Morte e Abóbora[]
Morte e Abóbora are a pair of small kids and are the replacement Skid & Pump for the mod.
Appearance[]
Pumpkin is a white pumpkin-like child dressed in farmer-like clothing (probably a scarecrow costume) with a light brown straw hat, a brown shirt, dark gray-blue pants, and black boots. He has light blue/white eyes and holds a lime green and pink lollipop.
Death, on the other hand, is a small skeleton dressed in a Grim Reaper costume. He wears a dark gray-blue cloak with his ribcage and a pink tree design showing through it, and black shoes with various small candies at his feet. He has beige/pink eyes, an angry expression, and holds a pink scythe with a peppermint on the blade and a green ribbon.
Trivia[]
- In the latter half of Nightfall, Death loses his angry expression.
- In their right pose, Death reveals two glowing white eyes underneath his skull.
- In their left pose, Death reveals only one of the two glowing eyes.
- In VIRUS, both Pumpkin and Death play a laugh sound effect similar to Balloon Boy's laugh.
Gallery[]
Limão Podre[]
Limão Podre is the mod's replacement for Monster who knows nothing other than getting into everyone's way and spreading much of its virus-like goo. He was created by Grape Sago with the sole purpose of keeping Bidu away from Barbara.
Originally, he simply took Barbara's place on the speakers for the third song of Week 2, "Virus", but as of the Birthday Remaster Update, he actively hijacks the song from Pumpkin and Death and engages Bidu directly.
Appearance[]
Rotten Lemon is an arachnoid monster with a green lime-shaped head, large black spider-like body, and many spindly black legs. The majority of his body is covered in a green virus-like goo. His head is grotesque and unnatural containing multiple white and empty diamond-shaped eyes, a large toothy grin, and a large crack and exposed region on his head.
For the final part of "Virus", Rotten Lemon transforms into a zombie-like version of Bidu called "Zumbidu". In this form, his overall appearance is skeletal, with his skin being pale white and his eyes big and hollow, his hair is lime green, his clothes are darker than Bidu's, and he has a purple mass of flesh wrapped around his waist from which appendages from his normal form emerge during his poses.
Trivia[]
- Like Pai Troll's sister said, Rotten Lemon is there just to get in the way.
Gallery[]
Dono da Favela[]
Dono da Favela is the mod's replacement for Pico.
Appearance[]
Dono or Favela Owner is a light-skinned Brazilian male with light reddish-brown hair, bushy eyebrows, a black earring in his ear, and a cocky smile with a cigarette in his mouth. He wears a black track jacket, a hot pink and white striped shirt, tattered hot pink jeans, and white sneakers. He holds a black mic smudged with what appears to be hot pink paint, and his left foot is standing on a multicolored boombox.
Mid-Blam, he pulls out a paint-smudged gun and no longer has his cigarette.
Trivia[]
- Dono uses 72 bullets in Blam, making this the average of how many bullets his Uzi has.
- However, in real life, the max bullet capacity of an Uzi is 25-32 bullets and anything beyond that is not trustable.
- Favela is the name of a type of slum in Brazil, existing mainly in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
- Dono needs two guns in Loaded due to the fact that the first one ran out of ammo near the end of Blam.
- Dono's boombox completely replaces Barbara's boombox as she is seen sitting on an open sewer block.
- What Dono smokes is not cigarettes, but sparkling water.[12]
- However, this can be a joke, as soon after, it is said very quietly: "carioca".
- Dono doesn't have a eyebrow slit because his mother won't let him.

Salsicha[]
Salsicha is the Arrow Funk version of Shaggy from the Scooby-Doo series.
Appearance[]
Salsicha is a version of Shaggy where he retains some of his iconic features like his short dirty blonde hair, green shirt, and brown pants. He wears a loose white shirt underneath his green shirt with long sleeves. He also has brown shoes and is carrying a flask with a black/blue mic attached.
Trivia[]
- Salsicha is the Brazilian name of Shaggy.
- However, it does have a second meaning, that being "sausage".
- Salsicha's appearance is based on his appearance in Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and his buffed appearance is based on a scene of this movie, where him and Scooby drink some potions that make Shaggy buff.[14]
- What Salsicha says when he gets in his buffed form is a line from the same scene where he gets buffed in the movie, the translation is "Check out my pecs, little man!"

- He practices street dancing every Saturday.[19]

She wears a midnight blue off-shoulder crop top with a large multicolored gemstone, a fishnet top underneath, a purple belt with a gold buckle, a midnight blue skirt, fishnet stockings, long black/purple socks, and midnight blue laced boots. She wears gold bracelets on each arm, a golden watch, and holds a purple/orange mic that can detach into two parts using magnetic force.
Trivia[]
- She is the owner of Pandora, a jewelry store.
Gallery[]
Olue Guy[]
Olue Guy is an upcoming character and replaces Ourple Guy in Arrow Funk.
Appearance[]
Olue Guy is a blue ourple creature with a depressed or saddened expression. He is seen wearing a cap and a small white name badge.
Trivia[]
- He was originally called "Glue Guy", but was later changed to "Olue Guy", while fan-made mods of Ourple Guy Arrow Funk Mix kept the old name so they could be differentiated from the original.[24]

MatPat[]
MatPat is a well-known YouTuber for his theories of various games and their lore, and most notable for his theories with Five Nights at Freddy's. He is an upcoming character to this mod.
Appearance[]
MatPat in Arrow Funk looks much like MatPat except for his clothes. He wears a jean jacket, black and orange headphones, long fingerless gloves, and an "I HAVE A THEORY" t-shirt (which may initially appear to be an Among Us t-shirt).Music[]
