Reason: DEMO RELEASED!
“Beep-bops won't work this time!
Think you got what it takes?”
― GameBanana description
FNF: FUNKADELIX is a remix modification for Friday Night Funkin'. It remixes all the base-game songs, featuring lyrics — and new instrumentals — instead of the usual beep boop bap vocals.
Characters
Boyfriend
“Ooh my girl, my love is ever-lasting~
After that fight, yeah let's go all night~”
― Boyfriend, Tutorial/Dadbattle
Boyfriend is the main protagonist of the game Friday Night Funkin'. He serves the same role with remastered sprites and having lyrics.
Appearance
Boyfriend has pale skin with a slightly yellow tinge, navy blue irises and aqua green hair full of spiky strands. He has a smug expression, and a supposedly dark eye on his right side, while seemingly mocking his opponents in his poses — sticking his tongue out as an example —. Boyfriend wears royal blue jeans with a bulge near his crotch, implying a boner. He wears red-and-white sneakers, and a backwards red cap with a blue brim.
During Week 2, Boyfriend wears a vampire costume with a black cape, a purple button-down shirt with a white jabot, black jeans, black pointy shoes, and bat wings connected to the back of his robe. He also appears to have fangs, shown gray hair, and fake blood dripping from his eyes and mouth. His smugly expression is visibly less prominent, focusing more on doing scary poses or faces to the kids.
Trivia
- While his original counterpart is fearless because he is mostly unaware of the danger, the lyrics of this mod implies that this Boyfriend is, in fact, aware of the risks, yet remains confident regardless.
- JamsDX_ states its due to his inflated ego while replying to an accurate[6] fan analysis of Boyfriend's characterization done by @eleventism.[7]
- JamsDX_ describes Boyfriend in Week 2 as a older brother trying to scare his younger siblings.[8]
- Along with Daddy Dearest, Boyfriend is the only character in FUNKADELIX to have an unused icon set, seen in showcases before the demo's release.

Girlfriend
“I think it's so amazing,
How you can call me baby
Then turn around and hold me back controlling who I'm dating”
― Girlfriend, Dadbattle
Girlfriend is Boyfriend's lover. She serves as the first opponent, as well as watching on top of speakers for the rest of the game. In this mod, she serves the same purpose. However, she will eventually be a playable character in High.
Appearance
Girlfriend has long auburn hair, which starts out neat and tidy on her head, but becomes more disorganized and "scattered" as it goes down to her waist; dark brown irises, well-defined eyelashes and a beauty mark under her left eye. Compared to the original, she stands with her right hand on her waist while holding a greenish boombox in her left hand. While she has a relatively neutral expression, she shows happiness during the Tutorial, but an expression of annoyance — to both her father and BF — during Dadbattle.
In Week 2, she is shown to have her demon form partially revealed, bearing wings, horns, and a plug-tipped tail. For attire, she is shown wearing an off-the-shoulder bat-shaped top, short black skirt, knee-length socks with an orange arrow pattern, and orange high heels. Her hair is also a bluish-black color with orange glow. These details can be difficult to see in-game because of the dark shading.

Daddy Dearest
“Man. FUCK YOU, bruh. Lil bum ass youngins and they stupid ass singin battles n shit. Fuck this Dearest shit, bruh.”
― Daddy Dearest, Dadbattle
Daddy Dearest is the father of Girlfriend. He is the second opponent of the mod and the opponent of Week 1.
Appearance
Daddy Dearest is a tall muscular demon with lavender skin, grey hair, and star-shaped, glowing red pupils. He wears a black outfit with a trench coach, pants, heeled boots; also using a golden watch on his left wrist.
Trivia
- In contrast to his original appearance, where his pupils always glowed red, Daddy Dearest's pupils change color in correspondence to each note that's pressed: pink for left, blue for down, yellow for up, and green for right.
- Additionally, the colors are based on FUNKADELIX note set, instead of the vanilla game; his eyes glow yellow when pressing up instead of green.
- Along with Boyfriend, Daddy Dearest is the only character in FUNKADELIX to have an unused icon set, seen in showcases before the demo's release.

Skid & Pump
“There's that spooky little spark
That's everywhere
Goblins, ghouls, N' witches
They'll be sure to scare!”
― Skid & Pump, South
Skid & Pump are recurring characters of the Spooky Month series made by David "Sr. Pelo" Casanova. They are the first opponents of Week 2.
Appearance
Skid is shown to be wearing a cartoon-like black and white skeleton costume with white gloves and white shoes. On the other hand, Pump is seen to be wearing a black shirt with a v-neck, and he is wearing a pumpkin mask and wears white gloves; black pants, and black shoes.

Pico
“Bitch, I'm not the one
You fuck with me, you better run
Cuz the last one, he was done
He met the barrel of my gun.
Listen well.”
― Pico, Philly Nice
Pico, originally from Pico's School and featured in Newgrounds Rumble, is a mercenary hired by Daddy Dearest. He serves as the opponent of Week 3.
Appearance
Pico is shown to be a short man with a green shirt and brown jeans. He wears red shoes, and holds an Uzi as his weapon of choice.

Tinydelix
“do yuo like my mod
my funny friday funkie modde
,, This , is mah mod my funnadelix
Funy mod”
― Tinydelix, Themesong
Tinydelix is a hidden opponent starring in Themesong. He's an up-and-coming modder for Friday Night Funkin' who apparently made FUNKADELIX.
Appearance
Tinydelix is a version of Boyfriend's appearance in FUNKADELIX recreated entirely in the style of Lumine's Gacha series, most well-known for its character builder. He is even shorter than regular Boyfriend, white outlines are present all across his body, and his poses are sloppily put together, leading to a variety of clipping issues. Tinydelix has a red star in a circle on his shirt in contrast to the original's prohibition sign, and his pocket is notably discolored.

Monster
Monster, mostly known as Lemon Demon, is the second antagonist of Week 2 and the fourth opponent of the entire mod. He will serve as an upcoming opponent in Week 5 just like the vanilla game.
Appearance
Monster has a more detailed appearance compared to his original design. His eyes can now be seen having pupils with furrows in his irises, and he has blood that stretches from the ends of his mouth.
Trivia
- Monster has a 3D model, as shown in an outdated teaser for his song. This will not be in the mod, and serves as a reference for his poses.
Mommy Mearest
“Honey, can't you see
Foolishly, you've put your life of royalty
In jeopardy, to lead
A simple life among the peasantry, oh”
― Mommy Mearest, High
Mommy Mearest is the mother of Girlfriend. She is the fifth antagonist of the mod and serves as an opponent in Week 4.
Appearance
Mommy Mearest has a more detailed design from her original counterpart as her face is well structured and has a visible line as her nose. Only her left eye has a red glow and she is now facing away from Boyfriend while still looking at him.
Trivia
- If she were to enter the backrooms a few things would be applied.[17]
Senpai
Senpai is the sixth antagonist of the mod and serves as an opponent in Week 6.
Appearance
Trivia
- Senpai, in this mod, is basically confirmed to be a douchier version of BF, since he doesn't know how it feels to lose.[19]
Gallery
Tankman
Tankman, also known by his real name John Captain, is a military sergeant and an iconic mascot of Newgrounds as he appears on the official Newgrounds logo. He will serve as the opponent of Week 7.
Appearance
While being mostly alike to his Friday Night Funkin' counterpart, more details are shown on his clothing and he has a brownish tint to his armor.
Darnell
“Best run fast, we boutta merc yo ass. That greedy rockstar cash, that shit we just cant pass. Lets get it.”
― Darnell, 2-HOT(?)
Darnell is one of the mercenaries hired by Daddy Dearest, along with Pico and Nene, to assassinate Boyfriend. He serves as the opponent for Weekend 1.

Brother Bearest
Brother Bearest, is a demon, and serves as the older brother of Girlfriend for this mod.
Appearance
Brother Bearest is shown to be a young adult. He wears a light red beanie with horns protruding through. He has pointed ears and brown hair (mostly covered by his hat). He wears some sunglasses and has a large grin on his face. Brother Bearest is shown to be wearing a black shirt with the New York Yankees logo. He also wears red pants.
Trivia
- It's likely that week 8 in the base game is gonna be facing off against Girlfriend's brother, so currently progress has been put on hold for Brother Bearest.[28]
Annoying Orange
The Annoying Orange is the main character of the show of the same name. He was implied to be an upcoming character by this tweet.[29]
evil sonic delix, is a version of Sonic likely made as a joke to parody certain Sonic.EXE tropes. He was confirmed here.[31]

Trivia
- The mod was originally meant to have icons but it was replaced with a sidebar for health in the final mod, making them go unused.
- There will not be any erect remixes coming to the mod, as well as the Pico mixes, making Pico exclusively playable in Weekend 1.[39]
- GF's design outfit for week 3 is not included in V1, or the DEMO, but will be added in V2.
- The instrumental for the Boyfriend mix of Have My Heart is just a pitched down version of the instrumental for the Girlfriend mix.
- It is pitched down by only one key. (From F minor to E minor)
- The beginning drums of Bopeebo are a reference to Finesse by Bruno Mars.[40]
- The "Goblins, ghouls n' witches" line in South is inspired by the spooky narrator from Season 1, Episode 4 of Smiling Friends, "A Silly Halloween Special".[41]
- Boyfriend's "Goosebumps, read ya like a book, you'd best beware" line in the same song is a reference to the "Goosebumps" book series by R.L Stine
- Skid and Pump also reference various candy brands in their verses. These being Smarties ("Yea, we a couple o' smarties"), Nerds ("And no, we're not talkin' nerds"), Payday ("Time for the payday"), Snickers (We stay snickerin' at your loss of words"), Airheads ("You act like an airhead"), Butterfinger ("Your butterfingers won't do you no good"), and Tootsie Rolls ("We're on a tootsie roll").
- Boyfriend will get severely battered by GF at the end of Week 3.[42]
- The ending of Fresh is sampled from "My House", a song by Rhythm Control featuring the vocals of Chuck Roberts.
- Starting at 1:52, the Boyfriend Mix of Have My Heart interpolates lyrics from "Fresh (Boyfriend Remix)", a bonus track from Friday Night Funkin's OST release.
- The upcoming M.I.L.F Song references "MTC" and "Feel the Melody" by S3RL.
- The bridge in the upcoming High references a beta version of the original song that Kawai Sprite teased in a now-deleted tweet.
- Funkadelix takes place in 20XX.[43]
- It likely takes place in the early to mid-2000s.
- This is shown in Pico, where it's implied that Boyfriend and Pico broke up in 1999.
