Vs. Auditor: Gateway to Hell is a mod created by JustBruh. The mod takes place after the story of the vs. Tricky Mod, after Boyfriend defeats Ex Tricky in Expurgation. They enter a building to find someone ready for them...

Characters[]

FINALLY...
ā€• Auditor, Madness Combat 11: Expurgation

The Auditor is the main antagonist of Madness Combat, made by Krinkels. He is the shadowy, powerful entity behind the AAHW and the main antagonist of the Auditor Saga, as well as the overarching antagonist of the Tricky Saga. He is one of Hank's major enemies, next to Jebus and Tricky. He appears in his own mod week, made by Just Bruh.

Appearance[]

The Auditor is a pitch black grunt, with red eyes, as well as a pitch black flame effect coming off of him. In this mod he dons the Halo (aka Keystone Fragment).

During Gateway, he holds a big, black sword on the back of his head.

During Damnation, all his gas is gone, and dark red cracks can be seen all over his body, head, and hands. He also loses his halo.

Trivia[]

  • Before Madness Combat 8: Inundation was released, many people believed that the Auditor would turn out to be the Sheriff revived, but Krinkels stated that this was not the case.
  • According to Krinkels, the Auditor has always existed as a shadowy figure, and at no point in time was a regular grunt, he also says that the Auditor originated in Nevada.[1]
    • This is further implied when it was revealed by Krinkels in an art stream that The Auditor is one of The Employers, god like beings (or "Dark Angels" as 'Doc describes them in the arena mode of Madness: Project Nexus) that exist in a Higher Realm and watch over Nevada. However unlike his fellow Employers, he dwells in Nevada to eliminate Hank J. Wimbleton, although he may have other reasoning.
  • Despite being the main antagonist, he has the lowest body count of any of the main characters, at a measly 3, barely beating out the Sheriff, who has only one kill to his name.
  • The Auditor is a sentient gateway to hell (Specifically the Hell we see in Expurgation).
  • Aside from the Sheriff, the Auditor is the only main character that has never appeared in any non-canon episode.
  • The Auditor, Jebus, the Sun, Tricky the Clown (in Tricky Madness 2), the Demon, enhanced l33t agents and A.T.P. engineers are the only characters to have visible eyes.
  • The Auditor, Mag Hank, Mag Agent: V3, Demon, Sanford (in ANAMNESIS.fla), and the Sun are the only characters without the facial cross.
  • In Madness Combat 7.5, it was shown that the Auditor's online social name is "BIGBADAUD999".
  • When asked via Curious Cat on what the Auditor was drinking while at his desk in Madness 6.5 and 8, Krinkels would reveal that the Auditor was in fact consuming some type of sugary drink. He also revealed that due to the Auditor's bizarre body composition, consuming foods high in sugar are unable to affect him, meaning he can have as much as he wants.[2]
  • As Krinkels was asked if the Auditor did die when he absorbed Tricky or if he was just teleported to hell, he answered "He got a little inverted and then wound up dragging Hank and Sanford in too."[3]
  • Krinkels said the Auditor is named Auditor because he thinks it's a cool word that doesn't mean something remotely cool (much like the other Employers).[4]
  • When asked about Auditor's goal, Krinkels said, "The Auditor doesn't seek idolization. The Auditor a living avatar and gateway to a Hell as Nevada knows it. Typically his job is more custodial but Hank and friends keep screwing everything up, so the auditor conscripted an army (the A.A.H.W.) as a means to have access to a functionally endless source of manpower, for what help that provides".[5]
  • During Week 2, he becomes a playable character to play against Tricky.

Tricky the Clown is the secondary antagonist of the Madness Combat series, once an assassin hired by the Sheriff and later the primary antagonist of the Tricky Saga, however becoming the primary antagonist briefly during the Auditor Saga. He is Hank's nemesis throughout the series.

Appearance[]

Tricky is very similar to his appearance in the Vs. Tricky mod, with green skin, orange clown hair, and beige/purple cloak, except now he has big bright red eyes and flickers eyes black occasionally.

Song Physics[]

During Gateway, the Auditor's strikebar will slide off the screen at 0:15 and hooked blades on chains will move the notes around at set intervals to random locations around the screen, making it harder for the player to hit the notes.

During Damnation, a spacebar icon will appear with two numbers, one representing the Auditor, the other representing you. Repeatedly pressing the spacebar before the Auditor finishes causes you to dodge the increasing number of spikes leaving the ground, therefore continuing the song. Failure to finish hitting the spacebar before the Auditor does will result in an instant Game Over.

Trivia (General)[]

  • The creator of this mod, Just Bruh, previously made the Fanmade Tricky Phase 3 mod, back when the official phase 3 was unreleased.
  • A Expurgation cover for the Auditor has been teased, but absolutely nothing has come of it so far.
  • Like Tricky and Barbarian Champion, Auditor is separated into multiple spritesheets based on his up, down, left, right and idle movements.
  • The auditor killed 39 grunts in monochrome (this might be wrong but who even visits this page besides me?)
  • Damnation, the extra song in the mod, is unlocked by clicking on the Auditor's sword on the main menu.
  • Beating Damnation will shatter the sword, though this does not hinder a retry at the song. The sword will heal if you restart the mod, a white scar being left behind where it shattered.
  • Typing in fuck you in the menu screen (just like how you type iminafuckingwheelchair to unlock Monochrome) after you beat the normal version of Damnation will give you a harder version of Damnation, including instant kill notes, and changing your opponent from Auditor to Tiky.
  • This mod shares song names with Vs. Impostor: Black Betrayal, Vs. Dave and Bambi: Golden Apple Edition, Vs Flippy: Flipped Out!, and Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby, that being Unhinged and Dissension.
