This article contains potentially sensitive content that may be discomforting or upsetting to certain users. Viewer discretion is advised!
Reason: Briefly, creepypasta is a term for horror stories involving sensitive subjects, hence the "creepy" in the name. Just the sentence at the beginning of this page gives you an idea. Not only are the creepypastas a warning, as Girlfriend other than her appearance in Lullaby has a very suggestive design, both in cutscenes and in gameplay.
This article contains content that may bring users with past trauma, to something that might cause a physical and/or mental reaction. Viewer discretion is advised!
Reason: The mod has flashing lights and very strong flashes in certain parts of the songs and cutscenes, which can give sensitive people epilepsy. Some sounds can also be quite annoying.

The development or possible updates of this mod have been canceled, so a release of its new content is not expected. The reasons for this vary, such as: controversies, lack or loss of interest, the disappearance or lack of passion for the mod, or simply a lack of ideas.
Reason: The mod was declared canceled by the director, RAL. However a soft reboot of the mod called Trepidation: Project HABIT is being developed by former devs of the original mod.[1]
Holy fucking shit is that “Friday Night Trepidation” - Boyfriend
This mod has more than 200,000 views and 200 likes on its download page. It is a fan favorite and well known within the community!
Note: The mod is one of the more popular creepypasta mods as well as one of the first, being older than Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby!

This article lacks content, whether it be lacking Assets, Trivia, Music, or something else. You can help Funkipedia Mods Wiki by expanding it with more info! Thank you!
Reason: Well, we need some things, so here's a list of assets:
- Static poses for the majority of characters.
- Assets both separated and unseparated from the new notes.
- Unused poses for This Man & Gold's miss poses in No Head Red.
- Slenderman's jumpscare screen.
- Old stuff that hasn't been added is also needed, like Jeff in the story menu in the older version; Slenderman glitching; Gold's poses in Beyond Death, including his "Bruh" pose in Placeholder, in addition to his black idle; Boyfriend and Girlfriend in general.
“Sweet Dreams are made of screams.
The corrupted ones just won't let you sleep.
They'll crawl on your walls and spread their disease.
Everyone of them's looking for someone. And they've found you.”
― Sweet Dreams are made of screams, Warlock The Ripper.
Friday Night Trepidation, formerly Friday Night Slashing: Vs. Jeff The Killer, was a horror mod where you rap against different creepypasta characters. The current characters, or better, creepypastas are: Jeff the Killer; The Slender Man; Marble Hornets; Pokémon: Lost Silver; Ever Dream This Man?, with the participation of some others. It was created/submitted by Dr. Dayzane and officially released in 2021.
In addition to new characters, cutscenes and weeks, the mod also had new mechanics and a secret menu that unlocked extras. A 4-Week story, with the addition of two ARGs. Unfortunately, the mod got cancelled mid-February 2023, but it is planned to be soft-rebooted.
Gameplay Mechanics[]
General[]
- Jeff in Endless Nightmare, Slenderman from Slender onwards and Gold in all of his songs all drain the player's health whenever they sing. The health drain is disabled if the player is playing on Simple Difficulty.
- Certain characters have their own game over screens. They will be said in the last verse of each character.
Jeff[]
- In Endless Nightmare, new mechanics will be added to make it harder for the music to progress.
- Dodge Function: Jeff will actively attempt to stab Boyfriend very quickly at specific times. At that time, an image telling the player to press the "Space" key will be shown, so he can dodge. Otherwise, they will take damage.
- Knife Notes: these notes, as the name implies, have a knife-like appearance, which makes it easy to distinguish them from normal notes. If the player presses these notes, they will take damage.
- Flash In Beat Drops: Just as the name says, when the song has a beat drop, a white flash will quickly appear on the screen. Although this doesn't hinder the player's performance (since in this flash, he doesn't need to sing or dodge), it can catch him off guard.
- Jumpscare: At minute 2:14, Jeff will jumpscare towards the computer screen to scare the player. The most he can do at this point is to be prepared.
- Game Over: Jeff will throw one of his knives, hitting Boyfriend squarely in the forehead, and possibly killing him. BF will freeze with an expression of fear even after restarting the song.
1.0 (Removed)[]
- In Endless Nightmare, new mechanics will be added to make it harder for the music to progress.
- Knife Notes: looks the same as current knives, but due to a bug, they worked differently. The player still needed to dodge them, but they still did damage. Not only that, doing the opposite also caused damage. The only way to not be harmed by them, was to press on the tip of the knife, but this caused the player to receive a "Bad" and lose life, but not as much life as the other ways mentioned. It was also a way or trick, pressing the knives but getting a good score so the player wouldn't die in the music (Flippy did that). All of this has been fixed in a patch.
- Everytime that the beat drops in Endless Nightmare, the arrows start to get wavy. Note that there are 2 beat drops (0:07 and 2:14).
- Also in Endless Nightmare, at the 2:18 mark, a jumpscare has a chance of appearing, acting as a distraction to the player.
- Exclusive Game Over: in Endless Nightmare, instead of the conventional game over screen, the mod closes by itself, and a YouTube tab appears with a video titled "try again", from the Jeffrey Woods channel. In this video, Jeff appears facing the player with the caption "go to sleep", in addition to a VHS effect on the screen.
Slender Man[]
- In Slender and Sight, various mechanics are introduced to make it harder for the song to progress.
- Static & Outline Notes: These notes reference the Slender game. The player needs to press them or it will result in instant death.
- X Mark Notes: These notes look the same as regular notes, but with a circle and white X on top. Pressing them will result in the player's health being drained. Another variation of it, in this case the black and white, appears only in the monochromatic part of Sight, and results in instant death.
- Static: In Slender, Sight and White Noise (1.0), certain parts of the song will have a special effect where static will block the screen, making it difficult to see the notes. In the current version (1.5), in the midst of the static it is possible to see Slender Man's face.
- Masky: During a part of the Sight song, Masky (by sending a middle finger to the screen) will intervene on the player's note line, leaving the right note lower. The note will automatically return to its place afterwards.
- Black Void: In the last minute of Sight, the entire art style will change to a monochromatic tone and sketch lines. At the end of the song, the screen goes completely black, and all the special notes no longer appear. The remaining notes are outlined in white.
- Game Over: Slender Man dominates Boyfriend's mind, trying to turn him into one of his puppets. BF puts his hands on his head and shakes violently, getting the same circle and X as the notes, and when the player restarts, BF stops shaking.
Gold[]
- Deterioration: During Champion Battle, before Gold loses his arms, four frames with red borders suddenly appear. These frames have Lavender Town behind them, but covered in static and completely gray. Also, in the middle, an Unown appears indicating a letter. The four Unowns together form the letters "HELP". In the last few seconds of the song, Gold screams, and the screen flashes black until it goes dark.
- In Uncertain Demise and Lost Soul, new mechanics are implemented.
- Dead Cyndaquil: Alongside Gold and Celebi, Cyndaquil appears in the songs Uncertain Demise and Lost Soul. He has the same dodge function as Jeff mentioned earlier. Cyndaquil will blast the ground with its power, and if BF doesn't dodge it, the player will see the death screen even before the explosion sound and effect.
- Dead Celebi: Alongside Gold and Cyndaquil, Celebi appears in the songs Uncertain Demise and Lost Soul. He summons glowing purple notes called Psychic Notes, which need to be dodged. Otherwise, the player's health is drained, and a white flash appears along with it.
- Decay: In Beyond Death, all previous mechanics are removed, making the music as simple as possible.
- Game Over: Boyfriend has the same fate as Gold, losing his arms, legs, and having the same monochromatic colors and blood on his body. His microphone and one of his hands are seen on the floor still alive.
1.0 (Removed)[]
- Pop-Up: In some moments of Uncertain Demise and Beyond Death, some pop-ups appear in random parts of the screen, and can appear right in the middle of the player's note line. These popups are pictures of Gold, and his trainer card.
- Note Shaking: in Placeholder/Sandguy, in certain parts of the song, the screen UI suffers various effects, with the notes being able to sway in a wavy way, or violently back and forth.
This Man[]
- Transparency: In Dreams, missing any common note will cause them, along the line, to become more and more transparent, to the point of being invisible. If the player manages to hit some notes for a long period of time, they come back.
- Dreaming Notes: in Dreams, gray, slightly transparent notes will appear. Pressing them will cause damage and possible death.
Secret Password Room[]
- After completing the Gold week, a code is unlocked: 315834. This code must be used in the main menu, which will take the player to a secret password menu, with a text box. In this menu, pressing the X key takes you to another menu, only with hints. These tips are 6 in total, which with the answer, give 4 songs and 2 others. They also give the player a phrase that can help them figure out the phrase, such as: "What would you call art made by fans?", then the player types the word in the text box: "fanart", unlocking something.
Bonus Songs[]
- Exclusive Game Over: except in Trespasser (which uses Slender Man's Game Over screen), all Game Over screens in bonus songs are the same. The screen goes completely black, with the phrase written in red: "Game Over", and below: "Retry".
Trespasser[]
- Don't Miss: before the song starts, this warning is given when playing, and that's exactly what happens. If the player misses, he dies instantly.
Ending[]
- Everytime you beat a week, there is a different ending.
- On Week J (Jeff The Killer's Week), you go into a screen saying "Go to Sleep". An image of the original Jeff The Killer will appear below the text as the "CRIMINAL" line from the FNaF VHS series. (1.0)
- The YouTube link pops up instead, leading to some lore/connections to Jeff below. (1.5)
- In Week S (Slenderman's Week), there is no ending, as it just leads to the week menu.
- On Week G (Gold's Week), you go to the original ending of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (reminding the year Gold's creepypasta story is released). Shortly after, either the 2.0 teaser (1.0) and the code for the passcode menu (1.5) is shown.
- On Week J (Jeff The Killer's Week), you go into a screen saying "Go to Sleep". An image of the original Jeff The Killer will appear below the text as the "CRIMINAL" line from the FNaF VHS series. (1.0)
Trivia (General)[]
- Due to the former director's controversy, the old version (both only Slashin' & Trepidation 1.0) had been removed.
- Those appearing in the 2.0 version teaser are Herobrine, Ben Drowned, I HATE YOU Luigi, MR. HAPPY & Horror Sans (The latter two being scrapped).
- Despite some claims that MR. HAPPY was eteleD, he was in fact not.
- They are also planning to include Suicide Mouse, despite him not appearing in the teaser.
- The characters in the newest teaser are all unknown other than the last one, this being Ticci-Toby.
- Despite some claims, RAL has confirmed that the third character is not Eyeless Jack.
- This is among one of the earliest mods to feature an ARG, but it's the first to actually carry legitimate lore (with Jeff being GF's babysitter after all).
- It would had aswell possibly note how they got in Game Boy portable console, due to how Game Boy portable console was in their house. And it would be how they have met Gold.
- Jeff and Gold are the only characters so far that show us their original “non-creepy” appearances
- The first version of the mod had a folder called "nleeboy drama" and that folder was about the taco exposing nleeboy to ruin his life and send his followers to send gore to the taco for homophobic jokes, the folder was deleted because nlee and taco remained on good terms, until one day a youtuber called "ecuadorean blogs" made a video about what the folder contained, making nlee and taco become enemies again.
- No Head Red is the only song not to use heath bar icons.
- Being it an old version's asset, Gold's secret song "Placeholder" was completely removed in the new version, due to the controversy against the old mod's creator.
Music[]
This article contains potentially sensitive content that may be discomforting or upsetting to certain users. Viewer discretion is advised!
Reason: Some songs and themes can be quite unsettling, like Pokémon Theme (which strangely resembles Lavender Town), Sight, some story mode menus, among others.
End of Dialogue - Bob
This article uses one or more placeholders. Placeholders are commonly used for when a mod or asset hasn't been released publicly. Placeholders should be replaced with official assets as soon as possible.
Note: Most of the characters from No Head Red lacks icons. As a result, Red's icon is modified from this mod, meanwhile the rest are custom made, supplied by ContinentalSquid2005. The scrapped Glitchy Red song uses Glitchy Red's icon from Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby.

Endless Nightmare Cutscene (1.0)[]

The screen fades to black again before Endless Nightmare begins.]

Boyfriend: You're delusional man.ARG[]
During gameplay, the player can find a type of ARG after specific events of Jeff's week. The events to unlock the ARG vary depending on which version the player is on.
1.5[]
After Endless Nightmare, the player receives a static screen with a link to an unlisted video from a YouTube channel called Jeffrey Woods (which in this case is the real name of Jeff the Killer). The video in question is called 4/10/2010, and has a sequence of colored texts in red, lavender and dark red, representing respectively Girlfriend, Daddy Dearest and Jeff the Killer. In the description, there is another link from the same channel with the same layout as unlisted, colored texts and with a date, called 11/10/2021.
1.0[]
If the player dies in Endless Nightmare, the mod crashes by itself, and a Google tab automatically opens, showing a video called try again from the aforementioned Jeffrey Woods channel. The video itself is just Jeff staring at the screen with the caption go to sleep. In the description there is a link to the video 4/10/2010 and everything is as it is today. In an patch update, the 4/10/2010 video appears after beating Jeff's week.
Transcript[]
4/10/2010[]
Girlfriend: daddy who's the guy in the hoodie?
Daddy Dearest: He's your new babysitter darling.
Girlfriend: Why can't you or mommy watch me?
Daddy Dearest: We have to perform tonight baby.
Daddy Dearest: Daddy's gonna go now. Try not to let your powers loose with this one, okay?
Daddy Dearest: *Walks to the babysitter*
Daddy Dearest: You are the only killer who can watch her. Try not to give me a reason to banish you. Understood?
(The screen goes dark, and soon after it shows this cute, yet freaky image.)
4/10/2021[]
Jeff the Killer: Oh it's you...
Girlfriend: I want you to meet someone tomorrow night.
Jeff the Killer: is it someone i can kill?
Girlfriend: You can try to, but i'd kill you before you lay a finger on him
Girlfriend: lol, try not to scare him too much! Byeee.
Jeff the Killer: Oh i'll definitely give him a scare..
Conclusion[]
On 04/10/2010, Daddy Dearest had hired a new nanny for his daughter Girlfriend, as being a child, she cannot control her powers, and the other nannies had failed in this job. He then threatens the new nanny, in this case Jeff the Killer, to "ban" him if he doesn't take care of his daughter. Despite being quite mentally unstable, Jeff turns out to be a good babysitter and takes care of her, even though he calls someone (maybe a Dearest family member) for help on the first day.
11 years later, Girlfriend, having already met Boyfriend, meets with Jeff (either in person or through an electronic device) and asks him to agree to meet her boyfriend, as she wanted to surprise him. He asks if he can kill, and GF says he can try, but it would kill him on the spot before he even touches the BF. She quickly leaves, and he soon decides to give him a scare...
This fits very well in 1.0, but in 1.5, it's kind of weird for the narrator to say that Jeff scares them both, and it should just be Boyfriend since he doesn't know him.
