Just give up!
― Corrupted Boyfriend, Strength of Will

Boyfriend is the villainous protagonist for the Corruption mod, as well as the main antagonist for the unnamed breaking free week (???).

Appearance[]

This variation of Boyfriend makes him a completely silhouetted figure of himself only given characteristics of hot-pinkish eyes, and a set of teeth while said eyes are bleeding out. His silhouette seems to be using his appearance in Week 5 being given a fur coat. However, after the original BF broke out of the Corruption, he seems to wear the parka from Week 5, except unzipped, over his signature prohibition sign shirt. He also is wearing his usual blue pants rather than a light blue pants. Starting with Daddy Dearest's week "One Left", Corrupted Boyfriend gives off a faint white glow.
Whenever missing, Boyfriend lifts his right hand depicting blood-stained fingers on each finger and looks towards the player. Once getting a game over, his eyes disappear with any trace of blood coming out from his eyes is also gone. However, Phantom has stated that the game over animation is not final because of spoilers.

In week 6, he looks normal at first, but later starts to glitch as his face disappears and his animations are glitched. In Dead Pixel, a small portion of his face is replaced with a black glitchy substance with half of a white smile on it.
In Treacherous Thorns, half of his body is replaced with completely black while the bottom half remains normal, and the white smile has extended to his entire face. In the final song, Roots, he is completely black and still has the smile, and he is also floating. Both of his hands are shown out of his pocket, and they have light gray outlines with black hands inside of them.

After he breaks free from the Corruption, he wears a darker variation of his Week 5 outfit over his normal attire, a dingy red parka with white fur over his magenta-white T-shirt with a red prohibition sign, blue pants and dark brown snow boots. Starting from near the end of Headshot his left hand gets shot by Pico when doing his yeah sign with his hand and contains a black hole where a substance comes out of it, we are unsure of what it is at this time. After the fight against the Tankman Amalgama, he takes off his jacket to give to Girfriend. He also has his normal red shoes on instead of his brown snow boots.

Trivia[]

  • Boyfriend can't actually understand what The Harvester says, since he doesn't speak Japanese.[1]

Oh, I've missed you so much!
― Girlfriend?, Allure

Girlfriend is the secondary villainous protagonist for the corruption mod and the main opponent for her own week.

Appearance[]

This variation of Girlfriend has her head nearly immobile in the current version of Corruption. She possesses the same characteristics compared to Boyfriend, except she's given eyelashes as well as slightly larger pupils that stare at the player. She also appears to be sitting on the speakers as they appear in Week 5 And her head looks like the head decoration from Week 5. Girlfriend seems to emit a faint white glow.

In the Delete week, she is normal at first, but later in the 2nd half of the song, she becomes completely static, and this includes the speaker. Her face is covered by a black box, and she twitches to the beat of the song, like the other weeks, but it is more exaggerated. In Dead Pixel and Treacherous Thorns, she becomes darker in tone. She is completely gone in Roots and is never seen until the end of MEMORY//LEAK, then proceeding to become the antagonist of the Girlfriend week.

In her own week, she is now much more detailed, now having outlines, bloody claws and hair. She also have red strings wrapped around her legs, similar to how her parents are corrupted. Her speakers no longer have Christmas lights wrapped around it, instead, small smudges of corruption are marked on her speakers. Halfway in Allure, her speakers now sport some spider-like legs. Near the end of Estranged, behind her, she has a black angel figure and at the end of the song she fuses with it's unknown how she looks like in this form. In Yandere Attack she is seen floating with different animations when she sings from Allure and Estranged.

After Boyfriend uncorrupts her, she wears a darker variation of the same outfit as Week 5, as well as having pale-er skin, and darker brown hair. It should also be noted that her poses, as well as her general design have been completely redrawn, now having a design similar to PhantomArcade's artwork and sketches of Girlfriend. After the fight against Tankman, Boyfriend gives Girlfriend his Christmas jacket to wear.

Trivia[]

  • Girlfriend is a dinosaur lover.[2]

― Skid, Spooky Month: The Stars

Skid, and Pump are the main antagonists for the second week of the mod, "Good Times Must End".

Pump[]

The week starts off with Pump being completely corrupted, covering his entire body with a black silhouette. He is also given the characteristics of giant eyes and a large mouth. The eyes appear to have dark-magenta pupils. He has evidence of cheekbones and has sharp teeth with hot-pinkish outlines. He also possesses large blood-stained claws.

Skid[]

Skid retains his original appearance in Friday Night Funkin' except he appears to be more worried or confused about the situation. He isn't doing the spooky dance, rather is hiding behind Pump.

During Sanguine South, Skid gains a saddened look on his face once he starts getting corrupted. His body, face, hands, and feet start to get corrupted.

During Chiller, all but his right eye is corrupted, and he is also being forced to do the spooky dance. His corrupted eye is replaced with a bleeding cross symbol, and he also gets a stylistic mouth with blood inside. His left hand also seems to have a bloody 4-fingered hand mark on it. He has a handprint on the right side (left side in Deathmatch) of his head.

I've seen the world out there, I no longer wish to exit this place.
― Senpai, Treacherous Thorns

Senpai is the first opponent for the Delete week.

Appearance[]

Senpai appears as he is normally in the first half of the Glitch Remix version of his song, however he gets scared in the second half and in Dead Pixel. In the later half of Dead Pixel, his legs start to glitch as he also gets affected by the game's glitching. In Treacherous Thorns, his expression turns extremely angry, with red hole-like eyes and a smaller mouth that shows more anger than in Roses.

In Null and Void, Senpai is only a series of soundwaves, pulsating. In a later part of the song, Senpai reuses his appearance from Treacherous Thorns, albeit glitched out beyond repair.

Trivia[]

  • Senpai is currently the only character whose character icon remains unaltered from the original game.

This really is the end of this world, isn't it?
― Spirit, Roots

Spirit is the last opponent of Senpai's week in Friday Night Corruption mod.

Appearance[]

Spirit also takes his appearance from the main game, but however his face has turned much more manic and insane. He has instead a jagged smile, and two large eyes that have small pupils showing that he has lost all of his sanity. Near the end of Roots, he returns to his regular sprite used in the main game, showing his complete loss of hope and how he accepts his fate.

In CHKDSK, Spirit remains the same, seemingly unharmed from the events of the Delete Week.

Trivia[]

  • It is worth noting that Senpai and Spirit are treated as the same character in the corruption canon. This was later revealed to be unintentional, as pointed out by a user not involved in the development of the Corruption mod.
    • This was later de-confirmed by PhantomFear, stating that it was just Spirit talking through Senpai in some of his dialogue. (citation needed)
  • The Corruption mod is one of a select few mods to show Spirit's expression changing from his default expression.

Pico[]

Pico is the antagonist of the first week of the mod, "In My Way", and is the first victim of Boyfriend and Girlfriend. He later appears as the main antagonist of his own week, "In Your Way". He is also one of the main protagonists (alongside Boyfriend) of Brainstorm and the Tankman Amalgama week.

Appearance (In My Way)[]

In the Retrospecter remix of his first song, Pico appears as he does in the original game, with the exception of the Corruption on half of his body. In the Philly Nice remix, Pico still has Corruption on him, however not as much. He's also seen smiling. In MILF X Blammed, Pico's corruption has worsened to the point where it's almost overtaken him, save for half of his face and a small chunk of his shirt.

Appearance (In Your Way)[]

Much like Girlfriend in her week, Pico's appearance in the week In Your Way gets an upgrade, he carries 2 guns rather than 1 and has more blood on his body compared to his old design, he also appears much bigger than before as well. His eyes aren't round anymore but are swirling instead and having white pupils in the centre, his left eye also seems to be twitching. Also like Girlfriend, he has bloody claws. In Headshot, his eyes appear to shine a bright red and after he shoots Boyfriend in the hand the eye that is twitching uncorrupts. In Blood Moon however, his appearance drastically changes as he is primarily black and purple, with thick white outlines, along with secondary purple outlines as well. His eyes have become broad white slits, with one eye having a scar across it. His body has become a lot skinnier, with his hands becoming very crystal-like, along with one hand having a blade. A purple heart-like object is seen in the center of his body, pulsating. His feet have also become somewhat claw-like feet, resembling that of an animal. Cracks also appear over time as the song progresses.

After being freed by Boyfriend, he retains a similar appearance as prior to being corrupted, however he is drawn in a similar style to Boyfriend and Girlfriend after being un-corrupted. As of Hivemind, his hair has a spikier look similar to in his Nexus form.

Mommy Mearest[]

Daddy Dearest[]

Soul Boyfriend[]

The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood.

And they were cast upon the earth. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it. I am Alpha and Omega. THE BEGINNING...

AND THE END.

― Tank Amalgam, Hivemind

The Tankmen are the secondary antagonists in Week 8 and primary antagonists in Hivemind of the corruption mod.

Appearance[]

In Brainstorm and Hivemind, the Tankmen maintain similarities to their original counterparts, except with greyed out armour of a slightly purple hue. Part of their brains are exposed through the cracks in the armour, akin to zombies. A shot of one of the Tankmen shows them with their bottom jaw exposed.

In Hivemind the Tankman Amalgam sports a tall, skeleton-like body with spikes on its back and head. His headwear resembles that of a regular Tankman's, except that the goggles are completely hollowed out, and that it has a jaw drooping from its head. In the Tankman Amalgam's front view, he has a white left eye.

Trivia[]

  • The community has dubbed the Tankman Amalgam as "Tankmalgam" or "Tankman-Amalgama", although PhantomFear has stated on Discord that the closest thing to an official name is "Tank Amalgam"[3]
  • Tank Amalgam's biblical quotes are taken directly from the Book of Revelation.
    • PhantomFear says this was so that it acted as an opposite to the original Tankman's crude demeanor [4]

I have heard a lot about you... AND I DON'T LIKE IT.
