Plot[]
Boyfriend and Girlfriend find themselves on a spaceship with a girl. Kastimagina, purely due to her own boredom, asks Boyfriend to play with her, as he is good at the game she likes to play which turns out to be singing challenges. After the first song, which she reveals was merely a warmup, she starts the real game. In her second song she begins to manipulate the notes themselves, doing things such as changing their pattern or moving them around. She tells Boyfriend that she had a lot of fun and that it's time for the final match. He tells her that three isn't enough but she says that she has her job to do and promises to meet him again. He asks her if she's going to transform for the song but she says it "sounds stupid" and instead throws more tricks into her song.

Kastimagina is the main opponent for the first week of the In the Galaxy mod.
Appearance[]
Kastimagina is a person with the appearance of a Women. She has pink hair put into twin pigtails and wears a pair of white gloves, a bluish-green jacket over a red shirt, a white skirt and purple shoes. She has red headphones which she wears throughout her week. She, and the Into the Galaxy mod were created by a Taiwanese content creator known as Allen98637.
Gameplay Mechanic - Note Modifiers[]
This mod consists of many different note modifiers, many of which have equivalents to existing modifiers in OpenITG and NotITG.
Below is a list of these mechanics in the order they are presented. Italicized terms in parentheses indicate the names of equivalent modifiers in NotITG.
1st Song: Galaxy
- Varied note speed changes: Scroll speeds differ between groups of notes.
- Note deceleration (brake): Some notes decelerate while approaching the receptors.
2nd Song: Game
- Scroll direction switching (reverse and alternate): The receptors' positions alternate between the top and bottom of the screen, and the notes switch direction accordingly. Movement can occur at different lengths, and some notes must be hit during this movement. Sometimes, not all receptors move at once.
- Note acceleration (boost): Some notes accelerate while approaching the receptors.
- Column swaps: Several column swaps occur throughout the song. The three swap configurations are RLDU, URLD, and DURL.
- Single column (flip 50%): Each pair of four receptors combines into one, and notes of all colors combine into the same line. This would later be combined with note speed changes.
- Moving receptors, stationary notes: The receptors move and wrap vertically while stationary notes appear. The receptors move toward the notes rather than vice-versa. If the notes are a part the next change in scroll direction, they are transparent until the change.
3rd song: Kastimagina
- Reaction time: The receptors position in a cross shape, but notes do not move to the receptors. Rather, they appear instantly at the receptors every beat. Each note must be hit on the beat following their appearance, giving only one beat of reaction time.
- Hidden notes (hidden): Notes turn more invisible as they approach the receptors. You must memorize the note patterns to hit them when they turn completely invisible.
- Center scroll (centered + alternate/cross): The receptors teleport to the middle, and notes fall from both above and below.
- Choppy notes: The notes move at a choppy rate. They periodically hold in place and move to where they would be if they scrolled consistently.
- Tornado receptors: Receptors move in a sinusoidal manner (similar to tornado, but applies to receptors rather than notes).

- Kastimagina works as an engineer and translator in the organization which the space ship belongs to.[3]

Appearance[]
Kalisa is a girl with a design that closely resembles Hatsune Miku. She has long light pink tied in two ponytails with black hair ties. She wears a black jacket with magenta and cyan edges and a magenta diamond on the chest, long black gloves, a purple and pink frilly skirt with a grey belt with a cyan buckle and long black boots with purple boots and cyan decorations.
Gameplay Mechanics - Note Modifiers and Window Manipulation[]
Just like Kastimagina's week, Kalisa's songs will consist of many note and scroll line modifiers, with this mod capable of manipulating the window, making the game extremely disorienting and confusing to players.

- Middle notes and cross scroll lines: The scroll lines go in the shape of a cross with the notes appearing from the middle of the cross.
- Scroll direction switching (reverse and alternate): The scroll lines' positions alternate between the top and bottom of the screen. Movement can occur at different lengths, and some notes must be hit during this movement. Sometimes, not all scroll lines move at once.
- Near left and right scroll lines: The scroll lines appear near the middle of the screen with the notes coming from the far left and right.
- Zooming notes: The scroll line disappears and notes zoom into the screen which need to be pressed before they fade away.
- Gyroscopic scroll lines, stationary notes: The scroll lines combine into a large scroll line and begin to spin in a clockwise direction, with stationary notes appearing and needed to be pressed as they align briefly.
3rd Song: Cyber
- Window conversion: The game changes into a reduced window.
- Window shrink: The window slowly shrinks size and goes up a bit.
- Window rotation: The window goes in a counterclockwise circle and then stops.
- Window peek: The window then peeks from the right of the screen before zooming to the left.
- Rapid shrink and shake: The window then shakes and shrinks randomly across the screen.
- Reduced window: The window goes from the upper screen and becomes more reduced. It then goes down and appears on the right side of the screen.
- Moving window, stationary scroll line: The window moves up, down, and counterclockwise with the scroll lines staying in place, with the notes appearing from either up and down.
- Rapid duplicated windows: The window moves very fast to a point that two windows appear and move in a circle.
- Window bounce: The window bounces very quickly.
- Rapid switch: The window switches around quickly, but lesser than 8.
- Reduced window, switching notes, and switched scroll lines: The window is reduced and pans from the top, but is now accompanied with randomly switching notes and scroll lines (RUDL).
- Spinning notes: Spinning notes return but are noticeably faster in spin.
- Scattered notes and counterclockwise window: The window spins in a counterclockwise motion with the scroll lines in the middle. The notes are scattered and must be aligned, like with the gyroscope motion in Underworld.
- Rapid square movement windows: The rapid window movement returns but now in a square movement, goin up, down, left, and right.

- Cici and Koma, the two girls on the speakers next to Girlfriend are the real names of another Uber Rare Cat in The Battle Cats, that being Twinstars.
- Both Twinstars and Kalisa are a part of the same Uber Rare Set, Cyber Academy Galaxy Gals.
- Kalisa, Cici and Koma's appearances are based on their True Forms from The Battle Cats, Divine Kalisa and Divine Twinstars.
- The Background during Kalisa's Week is based on a Background from Cats of the Cosmos, the third Main Chapter of The Battle Cats.
- A UFO Cat can occasionaly appear in said background.
- Also the UFO Cat in the background is based off of the 6th Evolved Normal Cat with the same name in The Battle Cats.
- The song Underworld and it's dialogue both reference Kalisa's description in The Battle Cats, which states that she has the ability to go to / take people into the underworld.

Familanna Arcala Mathena or simply Familanna is a character in In the Galaxy. She appears in a freeplay song: Familanna.
Appearance[]
Familanna appears as a small girl similar to Kastimagina. She has blonde hair that flows down, with a small bit in a ponytail at the top of her head. She has blue eyes, however they can only be seen during the cutscene, as they are closed in her sprite. She wears a similar outfit to Kastimagina, a long-sleeved shirt with red triangles on the end with a pink bowtie at the left of the shirt, a white skirt, knee-high(?) socks and brown shoes. The differences between the two is that Familianna's shirt is closed and is blue with a darker pink bow to the left. She does not wear gloves unlike Kastimagina.
Gameplay Mechanics[]
Up and Down Scroll: From the beginning, the scroll changes up and down repeatedly.
Change the Note Control: Forcibly change the key where you need to hit the note in the middle. The order of appearance is DFJK > WASD > VFJN > WASD > DFJK > WASD.
Scroll Square Alignment: When the key to hit the Note is changed to VFJN, the scrolls are arranged like a square, and the Note is flying from the left and right.
Stairs Scroll: When the note is changed back to WASD, the scroll changes to the right-to-up state.
Scroll Rotation: Scrolling constantly oscillates left and right, confusing the player.
Rotating scrolling and screen notes: Numerous notes cover the screen, and on Familia's turn, the scroll rotates at high speed, hitting them all.
Diagonal Notes: Notes do not fly in a straight line, but many notes come in diagonal lines.
Input Change: Forcefully change Input to Old Input in the middle.
Spring Scroll: Scrolls and flying notes are continuously clustered on one arrow and then moved away again.
Miss count: After the input is changed, the number of misses appears in the center of the screen, and you have to forcefully make as many misses as the number appears on the screen. If the number of misses is exceeded or not exceeded, the game over. This makes an FC impossible.

Unknown (or ??? in-game) is a given name for the opponent of the third week in In the Galaxy. She is an alien with unknown knowledge of her language or any information given, and was found accidentally when Kastimagina and Familanna were travelling around the universe. She is the main opponent for the "???" Week.
Appearance[]
She, according to Kastimagina, is an alien who's appearance is nearly identical to that of a human's. She has a purple spiky hair, with a single ahoge and a pony tail being held together by a red bow, as well as two green balls attached on the left side of her hair. She uses a type of space target, with the coloration of black and white. She have a pink dress at the waist. She wears grey shoes with a small red button in the middle, and wears black gloves with what appears to be white and red equipment or armor above. An orange radio is attached to her right ear and a yellow cape flows from her back. She appears to have a single fang visible from her right side.
Mechanics[]
Newton
Gold dots: Appears at the end of hold notes. Tells you when to release.
Spinning receptor: All receptors merge into one. The recptor spins on a one-two beat going clockwise. The notes change on spin, being up, right, down and left.
3D view: The receptors go down into 3D view.
Moving receptors: For ???, when she holds a note in this section, the left side receptors move right, then left.
Rapid column swap: When the notes go up and right rapidly, the columns change rapidly aswell. Since ??? has more rapid notes but with different notes, her notes column swap more often.
Fade in-and-out: In this section, the notes fade in and out.
3D view + bouncing notes: Same as 3D view, but the notes bounce to the receptors.
Wavy receptors: Same as last mechanic, except receptors move in a wavy motion.
Rising and lowering receptors: Same as last mechanic, except receptors rise and lower slowly instead.
Trivia[]
- She the only opponent from the mod that never reveals the name in-game or outside of it. She is always referred to as "???" in-game, while in the game files, she is always called "Unknown".
