Matt is a character from the Eddsworld series that has been modded in by nxbellion. While being busy checking on himself as usual, Boyfriend and Girlfriend challenge Matt into a rap battle, and of course, he happily accepts.
Appearance[]
Matt is a young man with spiky, orange hair, a purple hoodie under a green overcoat, blue pants and black shoes. He has a formidable chin. He wields a microphone in his left hand.
During Reflection, he turns into a king with a purple coat and a green cape. He wields a scepter with his head in his left hand. He is also sitting on a golden throne.
Trivia[]
- Matt's vocals were directly inspired by the popular Just a Bit Crazy video.
- The first song's name, Kitchen Shelf, is based off of the part in the classic Eddsworld Intro saying that Matt has the intelligence of a kitchen shelf.
- The second song's name, Face, comes from Matt's classic catchphrase: "Not the face!"
- The cutscene before Reflection is based off a scene from "WTFuture" where Matt goes back in time and proceeds to reinvent everything, rendering himself as the creator, author, founder, and king of everything in exsistence.
- According to nxbellion on Twitter, the mod takes place in an alternate timeline where Tord never left before the events of "25 Feet Under the Seat", and the mod's week is the timeline's version of "WTFuture".[1]
- In the first seconds of Reflection, a small leitmotif of the Eddsworld intro is heard.
- Edd, Tom and Tord make cameos during Reflection, all dressed up as Matt, and Edd effortlessly deals with Matt during the cutscene after Reflection.
- in the background you can see several versions of matt, among them are
- Vampire matt, Matt from Eddsworld classic,and Matilda (Female Version of matt)
- Edd has a different skin and hairstyle because of nxbellion's artstyle.
- When he stands up during his king version, his pupils are visible has has a bit of sharp teeth that makes it look scary
