― Springtrap, Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 Scott games teaser
Springtrap is the antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 3 and stars in his own mod FNAF 3: Nightmare. Boyfriend and Girlfriend decide to test their willpower, by going into the newly opened Fazbear's Fright, but what do they find waiting for them? Basically a corpse in an animatronic rabbit outfit that the sands of time didn't like at all.
Will Boyfriend take down this once serial killer turned animatronic, or will Springtrap add another digit to his body count?
Appearance[]
The suit is an olive green with a forest green belly patch as well as the inside of the ears. The suit has several holes ranging from small to large in size. The teeth are mostly exposed, having a yellowish tint. The left side is the most decayed (or missing), showing part of the endoskeleton with a red wire poking out of the suit's ear, the right one is less decayed (missing) but the ear still shows some decay.
The face has multiple holes and a larger hole on the right side of the top of the head exposes the Purple Guy's rotten corpse's head inside. One red, black wire and two green wires are sticking out from the bottom of the large hole. The eyes are grey and look like human eyes the size of animatronic eyes, in front of the eyes are light grey circles.
The hands are mostly complete but the thumb and the first finger of the right hand are missing, showing the endoskeleton fingers, the left hand is mostly complete except for the second segment of the ring finger that is missing.
Gameplay Mechanics[]
Phantom Notes, in the NIGHTMARE difficulty, after Springtrap deactivates the air vents semi-transparent notes will show up replacing some of the normal notes and failing to hit them drains your health.
Burning Notes, again in the NIGHTMARE difficulty, burning notes that are burnt black will start appearing and hitting them drains your health, however if you fail to hit them it drains even more health.
Health Drain, in Nightmare (both difficulties), near the end of the song, as the music beeps, Springtrap begins to drain your health with each beep.
Trivia[]
- Springtrap's sitting animation is a reference to the FNAF 3 trailer, where he can be seen sitting against a wall and twitching,
- The mod uses pre-made assets that originates from a different mod[1] created by Xaria_AP.
- This explains the existence of unused icons, as well as Springtrap being a pico reskin, and practically most of the other assets present.
- Nightmare contains a bit of "They're Standing", the FNAF 3 menu screen music.
- the song Nightmare makes an official appearance in the mod Funkin' at Freddy's as "Nightmare: Purple mix", which is effectively a remix of the track.
