Mami Tomoe is one of the main characters from the series. She's the main star in most of the songs in this mod against Boyfriend.
Appearance[]
Mami has very curly blonde hair, usually in twin drills. In her Magical Girl form, she has a beige skirt with black tips, and her top is a short-sleeved white shirt with puffs and arm warmers. In between her skirt and her top, she has a brown corset-like clothing garment. She also has a small black hat with white fur with a fake flower coming out of it, with a red gem in the middle, resembling her Soul Gem, as well as gray and white striped leggings, and black and yellow knee-high boots.
In Salvation, she becomes a form she takes in Magia Record known as Holy Mami, where she's fully brainwashed and not herself anymore, fully manic with even 6 muskets out ready to fire. Her attire also changes from normal as she now dons a white dress, golden heels and adornments, white socks, and a white veil with a red underside connected to a royal crown that's atop her head. Her muskets are white with stylized black patterns, and 6 float near her. Lastly, behind her is a giant stylized golden halo which resembles her actual halo from Magia Record. In the last part of Salvation, she slowly returns to normal as her muskets are gone and her tired eyes peer as if just snapping back to reality.
In Mamigation, she becomes black and red in color, having black skin and a fully red attire which also includes her hair and large manic eyes. She now floats in an aggressive shaky manner akin to Expurgation Tricky, has a flowing red cape, and a broken red halo above her crown which now has a red cross instead of a flower design which is seen with Holy Mami.
In Tetris, she appears as her old version except for her head which is replaced by a yellow Tetris block, and her being scared.
In the scrapped/extra song Fate, she appears as an unfinished sprite and a bouncing PNG which shows her decapitated with long spindly claws. Her poses are also unfinished which show a dark ghastly face of Mami manifest over her empty neck. Her ghost head has swirling eyes and tentacle like twin drill hair.
Trivia[]
- For her defeat icon, Mami's head comes off of her neck. This is a reference to Mami being decapitated in Episode 3.
- This is also referenced in the menu art, although her head is now retracted into her neck.
- Mami's appearance in the song Salvation is taken directly from Holy Mami, a form she assumes in Magia Record after being brainwashed by the Magius.
- Mami's chromatic was made in UTAU.
- All other poses of Mami's second Salvation sprites (besides a snippet of her up pose) are technically unable to be seen, because of the black and white effect that takes up the portion of her transition.
- Her icon in Tetris is fully animated, though it is mostly static in-game.

Madoka Kaname is the main character of the series.
Appearance[]
Madoka Kaname has pink twin tails and wide oval-shaped pink eyes. When down, her hair is almost shoulder length. She has choppy bangs that are pointed and chin-length, framing her face. Madoka also wears two red ribbons in her hair, which hold up her pigtails. In her civilian form, she is in her school uniform; which is customized with white thigh-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. For her Magical Girl form, she wears a puffy pink dress with two bows arranged at either side of her skirt. She sports two bows in her hair, supporting her twin tails, as well as a red ribbon around her neck, which is tied in a bow in the back. The front of her torso has a pale yellow segment surrounded by white frills with a white placket running down the center, decorated by five red buttons. She has two small straps that connect from the front to the back of the dress over her shoulders, and short, puffy sleeves with frilly ends. In between her shoulder blades and just below her neck, there is a heart-shaped hole in the back of her dress. Her skirt's ends are akin to a flower's petals; there are seven separate petal-shaped segments of her dress, which are all decorated with a red edge and three white teardrop-shaped designs, lay atop a big, white petticoat, which is notably frilly underneath. She also wears a pair of white gloves with pink trims around the wrists, white, knee-high stockings with frills just below the knee, and red, heeled shoes with ribbons tied behind them.

Homura Akemi is the second main character in the series.
Appearance[]
Homura is a young girl with waist-length black hair and flat purple eyes. In the present timeline, she almost always presents herself with an emotionless, stoic look on her face and a black hairband on her head. Long before she came to realize the horrors of her destiny in earlier timelines, she wore red spectacles accompanied by two interlaces of braided hair with purple bows, thus causing her hair to branch out on two sides in the present timeline upon removing the braids. She is seen in her school uniform as a civilian. In her Magical Girl form, she wears a white, long-sleeved coat that splits in the center near the end of the sleeve, which is lined by a black trim. She sports a black, collared shirt, and said collar is lined with white along the edges. She also has a darker purple bow with long ribbons in the center of the collar. Around this, she has another larger dull, light purple seifuku-style collar, which has a black diamond shape on the back of it, all of which is over a black, long-sleeved shirt. The skirt is dull, light purple with white, ruffled trim. She also wears black tights with purple diamonds that line the sides of her legs and black heels. The coat appears to have a flower-like pattern with three "petals," and has a purple bow in the back with two long ribbons that end in half-diamond shapes with black, triangle-shaped designs lining the ends.

Sayaka Miki is a Magical Girl of Justice & is a best friend of Madoka.
Appearance[]
Sayaka has short-medium blue hair and blue oval-shaped eyes. In her civilian form, she is in her school uniform which is customized with navy blue knee-high socks along with the standard brown loafers. In her magical girl form, her clothing consists of a blue and white button-down strapless top, a blue asymmetrical skirt held up by a dark blue belt with a yellow buckle, white stockings with a blue stripe, teal boots, a white thigh-long cape, and 2 pairs of gloves, one being elbow-length midnight-blue, and the other being standard-length, and white. Her Soul Gem is embedded in her belly button.

Kyoko Sakura is an another experienced Magical Girl & used to team up with Mami.
Appearance[]
Kyoko has long, raspberry red hair which is always seen up in a high ponytail tied by a black ribbon. She has a set of risen bangs that frame her equally as her sharp red eyes. Her signature outfit consists of a black crop-top under a dark teal hoodie which is unzipped at the bottom, leaving her belly button exposed. She wears dark blue denim shorts with fur around the bottom edges and black below-the-knee boots. In the Rebellion movie, she is seen in her uniform as a civilian.
In her magical girl form, she wears a maroon dress with an opening for her soul gem and a mandarin collar attached to it. Her soul gem is at her upper chest. The borders of her dress are covered with thick white frills that cover the opening of her dress and the back. She wears white bicep-length sleeves with black buttoned cuffs around her wrists. Underneath, she wears a pleated magenta skirt and a black corset with white detailing. She wears tall red boots with white cuffs and white symbols just underneath which match the opening on her top, and black thigh-high socks.

Boyfriend[]
Boyfriend is the protagonist of Friday Night Funkin'
Appearance[]
Boyfriend appears mostly the same as he is in the base game, possessing the same traits. In Tetris however, his head is replaced with a blue Tetris block with his face layered on it.

Girlfriend[]
Girlfriend is the deuteragonist of Friday Night Funkin' who joins with Boyfriend as they explore Mitakihara High and meet Mami (only for her to be bound up for the most part, but she seems to not mind it).
Appearance[]
Girlfriend appears mostly the same as in the base game, from her clothes to appearance. During Salvation however, she gets wrapped up high in Mami's yellow ribbons.

Gameplay Mechanics[]
A 4th difficulty is present, "Holy". HP loss is increased compared to the other difficulties and Mami drains the player's HP while singing if the player is playing any songs on this difficulty except Salvation (only does it when numerous guns fly across the screen, and regardless of the difficulty). This HP draining cannot cause a Game Over. In Mamigation, she does it regardless if the player picked Hard or Holy.
In Salvation, there's also another type of notes: yellow circle notes with an exclamation mark. Those are known as "Holy Notes" and deals damage to the player when missed. Initial damage is 20% of the HP bar and stacks up by 20% for each holy note missed (1st miss 20%, 2nd miss 40% and so on). Damage value gradually decreases very slowly on Normal and holy notes do not appear on Easy. They can also appear in Mamigation and Tetris, but on Holy difficulty. The damage value is also only displayed in Salvation.
If the player failed due to missing a holy note causing fatal damage, the screen flashes red and Boyfriend's head will be blown off signifying the cause of death.
In Tetris, an I-Tetrimino can occasionally come down from above and placed down between Mami and Boyfriend's character icons. They cannot regenerate health beyond the tetrimino while it is present. It removes automatically after a few seconds.
Additionally, in Salvation a ribbon occasionally appears and pulls the HP bar tilting it (along with the whole UI), causing the player's HP to drain. The ribbon CAN cause a Game Over if the player does not have enough HP. It is removed after draining about 50% of the HP bar. Damage is reduced on Normal and does not appear on Easy.
Trivia (General)[]
- The song Connect is taken directly from the main opening theme of Madoka Magica.
- The dialogue box used in the mod is a reference to the dialogue box of Magia Record. The boxes are similar as well as the font.
- There is also a random chance that all of the character's name will become "Oh?" during dialogue and that Homura's face would be covered by BoinkBonk (one of the mod's animators).
- The reason why there is a chance that every character will have the name "Oh?" is likely due to a typo in the English edition of Magia Record where one of the characters is accidentally named "Oh?" instead of their usual name.
- There is also a random chance that all of the character's name will become "Oh?" during dialogue and that Homura's face would be covered by BoinkBonk (one of the mod's animators).
- There used to be Custom Noteskins for the Mod that would represent the base color of each member of the Holy Quintet (excluding Mami).
- This was now removed in V1.5.
- The last bit of Salvation references the song "Conturbatio" from the Madoka Magica soundtrack, mostly known for being Sayaka's theme.[2]
