Muted Melodies: Vs. Tactical Cupcakes is a full week, self-inserted mod featuring the eponymous YouTuber, known for creating UTAU covers, streaming on YouTube, and for her main "LORE" video series. The week kicks off with BF and GF heading out to visit an unnamed friend who has recently moved house, only to mistakenly knock on the door of T.C.'s apartment. Not one to pass up an opportunity for a few songs, BF decides to challenge T.C. to a friendly duel.

Characters

Tactical Cupcakes

Tactical Cupcakes, generally shortned as T.C., is a voice actor, streamer, YouTuber, cover maker, writer, and creator of her self-inserted mod and character. She is a Friday Night Funkin' (formelly a Doki Doki Literature Club) content creator, and creator of her main LORE-mix series on the channel, alongside being a fan of varies games, such as Banjo-Kazooie and OMORI.

In the mod, she appears as the first opponent on her main week, and the playable character of the additional LOREMIX weeks. She is a selectively mute and tends to communicate using sign language (formatted in-game with [hard brackets]). However, despite of all of this, she is still able to speak and is able to find her voice when comes to sing.

Appearance

Tactical Cupcakes is a human with a grey beanie, red under-rimmed glasses, a necklace resembling a Jiggy, a navy blue V-neck and shorts, white shoes, and dark tights. Due to sleep problems, she has slight dark rings under her eyes. She has a white bandage wrapped around her left forearm from an injury at the hands of Lia.

Trivia

  • T.C. loves warm weather.
  • T.C. is a Supertaster. Meaning that she is a person that experiences a sense of taste with much greater than average intensity.
  • T.C. has ever-present sleep issues, leading to permanent dark rings under the eyes.
  • T.C. is British.
  • T.C. is selectively mute, making her capable of talking around close friends. Might stutter. but she is capable of singing.
  • As a result, T.C. is immune to the "corruption", but as a trade-off can't do anything on her own to reverse it on others.
  • T.C. has Level 99 Agility. Additionally has 99 points of Magic, but she can't make use of it due to Runes not existing.

Garcello is a character created by atsuover and Rageminer respectually, and appears on this mod as part of the first LORE week. T.C. meets him in a dark alley and both quickly forms a friendship, alongside with both rap battling togheter. However, due to him smoking alot, hes eventually dies, leading T.C. very sad in regrads. However, both still have their final songs before Garcello pass away in piece.

Appearance

Garcello is a teal-haired smoker, with a brown hat covering up his eyes. He wears a grey/black hoodie with a plain white t-shirt underneath. He has teal pants, brown boots, white fingerless gloves, and smokes a green cigarette. The smoke he emits, including the tip of his cigarette, matches the arrows' colors, suggesting it may be some kind of fantasy drug, not nicotine or tobacco. Similarly, in Release and Fading, his whole body cycles between the individual colors. During Nerves, he states that his chest feels funny, and starts sweating throughout the song. For Release, he just straight up dies, appearing as a ghost connected to the cigarette. He is now able to breathe out smoke. Meanwhile, for Fading, since the cigarette starts burning out, he gains more faded colors, and has an increase in transparency, before disappearing completely.

Drip Senpai

Drip Senpai is the given name for his taken form possessing as Senpai. Currently known as Drip Spirit, hes consistenly try to cause trouble for T.C. and her friends, due to visibly hate against her. In the mod, he services as the main opponent for the second LORE week, in which Drip Senpai/Spirit attempts to prey on her insecurities to get her to leave. However, due to T.C.'s persistences, Drip Spirit has become dormant inside Senpai following the events of the week.

Appearance

Whilst fronting, DRIP SENPAI wears stereotypical "hypebeast" clothing, including a north face jacket, a "Supreme" shirt, white trousers, and black shades. As DRIP SPIRIT, their appearance more closely resembles vanilla FNF's "Spirit", though the two are separate entities.

Skylar is a mod's and T.C.'s deciption of the character Sky, who has moved on from her past as "The Obsessed Boyfriend Fangirl" and changed her wardrobe and physical appearance to reflect this. It has great powers controlled by her emotional state, but she is just looking for friends. She services as the third and final opponent for the third LORE week. Alongside appearing in "Dilemma" with Skilor.

Appearance

Skylar wears a black beret, a dark grey shirt with a black checkmark, rose-tinted frameless glasses, dark blue jeans, and tall black boots.

Trivia

  • Skylar can keep cool for the most part, but one of her sore spots is being called "childish".
  • Skylar is DEATHLY afraid of Bananas.
  • Skylar can cause people nearby to dreamshare with her when both are asleep; both will be aware it was a dream, and both will remember everything upon waking.
  • Skylar can use her manifest form and stay control to use it's powers, but will almost certainly cause "SOMETHING HEARTBREAKING" to appear afterwards.

Senpai (or on the mod and LORE deciptions, SenpaIRL and Casual Senpai) is a character from the main week 6 of the vanilla game. In the mod and T.C.'s lore deciption, hes now a charming but otherwise ordinary high school teacher, and becoming one of T.C.'s dearest friends after being freed.

Appearance

Senpai is a human with baby blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair, alongside a piercing badge for Bisexual on the left ear. He uses a green sihrt/jacket with dark lines around of the body parts. He uses a dark blue pants, and black shoes, and holds his microphone on the right hand.

SOMETHING FROM THE PAST

SOMETHING FROM THE PAST is a malevolent entity represented as a T.C.'s past sibling, serving as a resident from BLACK SPACE. Nothing is much known about him, besides of his appearances in "My Time (LOREmix)" and "Flashback" from the mod.

Appearance

SOMETHING FROM THE PAST is a tall creature, in which is seen being covered up all in black, with only his single white eye being seen. In the old version, hes seen as a type of shadow creature.

  • His previous sprites was made above of the Older Bro's sprites.

Skilor (or Skilar) is the T.C.'s Ski lore deciption, mostly being based on Skylar itself. She appears though unknown means, only speaks out loud in noises, but is notably well-spoken and smart. She appears on the mod with Skylar on the cover for "Dilemma".

Appearance

Skilor is a "smol human", being similar as Ski's appearances, but now using Skylar's total clothes, including now a black beret, red glasses, and a black t-shirt with the "correct" symbol in the middle.

Trivia

  • Instead of Skilor's icons having a similar appearances to her original design, it's uses Ski's icons for references. Is unknown why the decision.
  • Skilor is the only character to not having her main sprites released. Instead, she appears and only with a custom sprites for the cover song "Dilemma".

SOMETHING HEARTBREAKING is the manifestation of Skylar's inner trauma, subconsciously brought to life by her powers. Shes currently unused inside the game files.

Appearance

SOMETHING HEARTBREAKING is a ghost/spirit creature with black body, and light red on the overall lines. She is seen with a long hair, visibly only showing her mouth on the note poses, using a t-shirt with a breaking hearth symbol, and claws on her hands.

Trivia

  • SOMETHING HEARTBREAKING can appears in Skylar's nightmares, or after she uses her manifest form.
  • SOMETHING HEARTBREAKING tries to get a rise out of Skylar, mocking her and referring to her as a child who can change.
  • Her design look is basically based or used the Minus Sky Manifest form.
