Reason: Madness Combat is a violent web series rated TV-MA/16+ for blood, gore, and disturbing imagery.
Hank has no lower jaw in this mod, being replaced with a metallic chunk covered in blood.
Tricky's face is also unsettling. In Lockjaw, girlfriend's skirt is high enough to see underneath it, this could also be seen as triggering.

Friday Night Funkin’: Antipathy is a Madness Combat mod created by Paled. Boyfriend and Girlfriend visit Nevada once again and they meet the one, the only Hank J. Wimbleton!
Story[]
Choose Your Character[]
The mod gives the player the option to choose two pairs of characters: Boyfriend and Girlfriend, or BoyGrunt and Gruntfriend, which are alternate versions of the aforementioned ones. Despite this, the choice is indifferent to the unfolding of the story.
Antipathy[]
A couple was walking through Nevada, chatting. Hank, behind them, gets annoyed and decides to attack the two. However, they are not scared and prepare to sing with the supposedly harmless guy. He finds this kind of behavior strange, but accepts singing with both of them. Boyfriend hands him a microphone, and a battle ensues.
As the songs go on, Hank gets quite annoyed, and decides to attack the two of them. However, at that time, Tricky The Clown appears on top of a runaway train. Hank momentarily decides to forget about the two of them and go after the clown. On the other hand, they both decide to follow him, holding onto a part of the train.
Hank and Tricky struggle, but forget about the fact that the train is heading towards a cliff, eventually crashing. Boyfriend ends up hurting his arm, and full of bruises, while Girlfriend manages to leave almost unharmed. Without the clown around, Hank decides to attack Boyfriend, but Girlfriend protects him with her demonic powers. Hank then decides to actually attack her with his axe, but she still emerges victorious from the confrontation.
Boyfriend ends up passing out and falling off the hill, and Girlfriend quickly tries to catch him by jumping along. Hank thinks this is suicidal, and already thinks they are both dead, however she manages to catch Boyfriend and mocks Hank before leaving. The week ends with Hank ignoring it.
Characters[]
Hank J. Wimbleton[]
“Feeling tough, midget? Do you think I have the patience to deal with your shit?! GET OUT OF MY WAY.”
― Hank, Overdrive
Hank J. Wimbleton, also called simply Hank is the main protagonist of the Madness Combat series. This version is of his Antipathy appearance, and it's the opponent of almost all songs, being a playable character in Trainwreck and Standing Here.
Appearance[]
Hank is of the grunt species, having gray skin and a cross in the center of his face. He doesn't have any human features like hair, ears, and any parts of his face. His arms are invisible, having only floating hands. During the series, his body is covered by bandages due to the various blows he receives.
In this mod, Hank's appearance is based on episode 6 of MC. Hank's body and the majority of his head and torso are now covered in bandages. He wears a black jacket, what seems to be a steel face mask, and red glasses, but he now has teeth sticking out, and a metal plate for a jaw, due to his beheading at the end of Madness Combat 5: Depredation by Tricky, along with a metal plate with a face on his chest due to being impaled on the warning sign.
Trivia[]
Character[]
- Hank originates from Madness Combat by Krinkels.
- Hank is an upcoming opponent and playable character in the base game.
- Despite all characters in Madness being shown as male, all characters are actually genderless shown in a Q&A answered by Krinkels.
- However, Hank is referred to as "they" in the description of Madness Combat 9.5 Part 1, in addition to he/him. They are also called "they" in Nexus 2.
- The Q&A had also revealed that;
- Hank has "dabbled in real estate."
- Hank is ambidextrous.
- Hank is bald.
- Hank likes to dance.
- Hank was influenced by The Terminator, Blade and the Grammaton Clerics.
- Hank is the tallest compared to Sanford and Deimos.
- Hank was a volleyball tryout and really wanted to become one but Krinkels says that the universe "had other plans".
- Hank was also mentioned in a list of volleyball tryouts in Madness Combat 4: Apotheosis at the area with a corner leading to where the vending machine is located and the entrance towards the underground area where Tricky was at.
- In MashProTato’s title screen Hank’s dance is a reference to the ending to Madness Combat 1 where he celebrates his victory by dancing to DJ Birdie Chicken Dance.
- His metal plate jaw comes from his defeat in Madness Combat 5: Depredation where his head gets pulled off by Tricky, who replaces his lost lower jaw with a metal plate before reviving him.
- There is a fan theory that states that the metal plate within his head is actually an improbability drive, although this theory has not been confirmed.
- Another fan theory is that the metal plate is the part of Tricky's mask that was cut off during Madness 5.
- Hank has 692 kills throughout the entire Madness Combat series.
- He was behind at least 48% of the kills in the Madness series.
- Hank has died 10 times throughout the series, most of which he is resurrected by "The Higher Powers."
- The Higher Powers is/are the one(s) to not only resurrect most of the characters but also give them plot armor according to Krinkles.
- Hank is the only character in the Madness Combat series that has a full name.
- Hank, after he died in Madness Combat: 7: Consternation, was revived from a machine that made him bigger, stronger, and he now has a large, red arm that can create bolts of lightning.
- The inspiration behind his arm was a game called Die By The Sword, in particular, it was based off an enemy design.
- Krinkels also said that he liked Asymmetrical character designs.
- The inspiration behind his arm was a game called Die By The Sword, in particular, it was based off an enemy design.
- When Krinkels was asked if Hank would kill Sanford, Deimos and 2BDamned, when he is ordered to, Krinkels replied with: "Hank is very good at his job."
- Hank's appearance changes almost every episode except Madness Combat 2: Redeemer, Madness Combat 10: Abrogation, and partially in Madness Combat 9.5 Part 1 because it takes place right after Hank died in Madness Combat: 7: Consternation.
- In addition, he has also gone through the most costume changes.
- The only episodes Hank isn't seen dead are Madness Combat 1 and in Madness Combat 10: Abrogation.
- He is also not seen dead in a few non-canon Madness episodes, Incident: 001A and Incident: 100A.
- The only episodes where Hank has not died after being revived are Madness Combat 6: Antipathy and Madness Combat 9: Aggregation.
- Hank works for an ambiguous and mostly unknown group of entities called "The Employers", who give his assignments and things to do for them, such as freeing Sanford and Deimos from an AAHW prison in the beginning of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic).
- The Employers are also sometimes referenced by other characters, as seen when MERC soldiers accused Sanford and Deimos for working for the Employers, even though the two haven't even heard of them beforehand.
- The concept art of the Employers resemble one of Hanks enemies, The Auditor, this implies that the Auditor may be one of them.
- This was later confirmed by Krinkles in an art stream.
- The Employers seem to be godly entities, similarly to the Higher powers. this is further implied when Phobos tried to become one and stated that he was achieving "Godhood" by doing so.
- The Employers seem very similar to another similar group with the same name from the Half-Life series.
- The "J." in Hank's name stands for "Motherfucker", according to Krinkels himself in multiple Madness Combat Discord servers, making his full name: "Hank Motherfucker Wimbleton". How? This is a series where zombie clowns become giant fire monstrosities. Don't question things.
General[]
- One of Hank's voice phrases: "KNOCK IT OFF", is taken straight from Madness Combat 7: Consternation.
- While Hank isn't heard speaking in both Project Nexus or the main series, where he's the silent but deadly mercenary, he is voiced by StickyBM with a slight voice filter.
- Boyfriend, when attacking Hank with the mic, uses his microphone as a lasso, similar to an unused animation from the base game that can still be found in BF's sprite sheet from Week 1 to 3.

Tricky the Clown[]
“Choo choo!”
― Tricky, Trainwreck
Tricky the Clown, or just Tricky is one of the main antagonists of the Madness Combat series and Hank's archnemesis. This version is of his Antipathy appearance and is the mod's other opponent. He appears as the opponent of the Story Mode song "Trainwreck", in which he faces off against Hank, and in the Freeplay songs "Madness" and "Accelerant".
Appearance[]
Tricky is a zombie clown sporting red orange hair, which is shorter than how it usually looks due to the top of his head getting cut off by Hank. Like all zombies in the Madness Combat series, Tricky has green skin, with the skin around his mouth being torn off, exposing his gums and teeth. He wears a grey smock which sports a slash-mark on the right side due to Hank stabbing him there with a sword, indigo-tinted grey shoes, a grey iron slab mask with a hole in the center of it thanks to Hank shooting Tricky with a bullet, and a grey-striped conductor's hat. In his left hand, Tricky wields a grey stop sign stained in blood.

Boyfriend[]
Boyfriend is the main character of Friday Night Funkin', and one of the five playable characters of Antipathy.
Appearance[]
Boyfriend retains his original appearance, except he now has a red shading due to the lighting in Nevada.
In Trainwreck, he is held by Girlfriend, smiling along with her while holding her mini-speaker.
In Lockjaw, he is badly hurt after falling off the train. He is shown kneeling, covered in scratches, holding his right arm in pain. Due to a coloring error, the inside of his mouth is blue when he coughs or cheers.

Girlfriend[]
Girlfriend is the deuteragonist of Friday Night Funkin', and one of the five playable characters of Antipathy.
Appearance[]
Girlfriend retains her original appearance, however she is now standing, holding a red and orange mini speaker while facing her opponent.
In Trainwreck, she holds Boyfriend, while smiling along with him.
In Lockjaw, she activates her demonic powers and grabs Boyfriend's microphone, while putting on a more feral angry expression with her hands clasped. Her skin turns a light shade of lavender, two black horns appear on her forehead, and her eyes reveal flashing red and white star-shaped pupils. Sometimes the upper part of her face darkens, showing only her pupils.

BoyGrunt is an optional protagonist of the mod, being a grunt version of Boyfriend.
Appearance[]
BoyGrunt appears as a grunt, having gray skin, floating hands, and no facial features. He has a cross on his face and has slightly desaturated light blue hair. He wears a white sweater with a red prohibited sign, he also wears red shoes, a red cap with a blue brim, and has bandages on his hands.

Gruntfriend[]
Gruntfriend is an optional deuteragonist and playable character of the mod, being a grunt version of Girlfriend.
Appearance[]
Gruntfriend appears as a grunt, having gray skin, floating hands with pointy fingernails, and no facial features. She has the same hair, dress, and high heels as Girlfriend, except they are slightly desaturated and larger (although this may just be an optical illusion due to the Grunts being smaller than humans). She holds a mini speaker raised up in her right hand.
In Trainwreck, she is holding BoyGrunt by his hood, while holding onto the side of the train.
In Lockjaw, her entire body shakes violently, and in the center of her cross-face, a single red eye appears, giving the idea that she is a Cyclops. Her dress also has two side scratches on the left side.

Gameplay Mechanics[]
- Health Drain: Hank and Tricky drain the player's health whenever they sing.
- Madness Combat: Two types of notes appear throughout Trainwreck and must be hit at all costs. They appear as either warning signs, which the player must hit in order to attack Tricky, or as stop signs, which the player must hit in order to block Tricky's attacks.
- Getting hit by Tricky results in Hank losing a chunk of health, while every successful attack on Tricky gives Hank a chunk of health.
- Glowing Notes: These appear throughout Lockjaw. The player must hit them in order for Girlfriend to dodge Hank's attacks. Missing them results in Girlfriend losing a chunk of health.
