Boyfriend is the D-Side variant of his eponymous original counterpart, and the main character of Friday Night Funkin' D-Sides. Almost always by the side of his beloved and with a peculiar appetite, this purple-haired rapper remains willing to battle any opponent, as long as it's through music.
Biography[]
The protagonist of our story, the rap king you've all known to come and love, Boyfriend! (AKA .XML, his stage name he coined just cause "it sounds cool")
BF can simply be described as a stubborn family man. He has a ton of his own hobbies, but at the end of the day would do anything for his Girlfriend, Girlfriend. The same also applies to his baby brother, Ritz, baby sister, Miku, and his parents. Recently though, Girlfriend has been the main thing which occupies his mind.
Follow .XML's journey to gain GF's parent's approval and just safely have a stable relationship!
Appearance[]
Boyfriend has spiky lavender hair on the sides and front, with a darker mark in the center, due to a botched dye job. He wears a blue cap with a purple brim, round earrings, a white tank top with a yellow warning sign in the center, purple pants, and blue sneakers with white soles and details. The white parts of his clothes are given a reddish shading. Physically, he has fair skin and pointed teeth, flashing a confident smile and holding his microphone in his right hand while keeping his left in his pants pocket.
During Week 5, he wears a half-buttoned black suit jacket with a white dress shirt underneath, added to a purple tie; blue dress pants, and brown-toned boots.
In DGUY, he appears as a purple version of himself, with only his white eyes as an outline.
In the scrapped No Villains, he appears badly drawn and styled to the TGT comic, with his warning logo changed to have the Security Breach logo.

Girlfriend is the D-Side variant of her original eponymous counterpart, and the deuteragonist of Friday Night Funkin' D-Sides.
Biography[]
The air-headed redheaded deuteragonist, Girlfriend! Being forced to be a homebody for most of her life, she loves exploring and getting out of the house. Having a rich boyfriend helps with this goal a lot; they can go pretty much anywhere they want! Philadelphia, expensive festivals, military grounds, video games...Okay, maybe not ALL those places are by BF's hand.
She always sticks by BF's side wherever he goes, even if she's also in danger. They never really seem to realize they're in danger until its too late, though.
Appearance[]
Girlfriend has slightly faded peachy-orange hair, tied in pigtails with magenta ties, and magenta-painted fingernails. She wears an open green suit jacket with a magenta shirt underneath, orange slacks and magenta heels. Physically, she possesses a calmer expression and her cheeks (also her hands in her gallery art) have orange freckles, while throughout the songs she taps her right index finger on her leg.
During Week 5, she wears a pink turtleneck with an orange rim, an orange plaid skirt and black pants, pink heels, and bunny ears on top of her hair. She would later have Feaster's eyes and mouth as part of his hallucination.
In DGUY, she appears as a fully orange version of herself with white happy eyes and leaning by a single speaker.
In the scrapped No Villains, she is also styled to the TGT comic having a derpy far-distant stare while sitting on light gray speakers instead of the normal dark gray.

Who's this douchebag?
Some kinda Placeholder for Boyfriend? This buggy bot was created for Daddy Dearest to practice singing against an opponent when he first got into singing. There's no telling how old this thing is; it's ancient!
It seems to copy the movements of whoever is trying to challenge it, and it mimics the voice of any and everyone it's ever heard. This thing must get around, huh? It's got so many voices!

Placeholder is a robot taking an appearance similar to that a crash test dummy, and also notably with a similar build to Boyfriend.
During the intro, Placeholder wears a hat and a few accessories that further make the robot appear like Boyfriend, right until it fall off and mostly disappear.

- Placeholder's voices are all bitcrushed versions of characters from the base game, mainly Boyfriend.
- Boyfriend and Girlfriend are cleaning the Dearest's attic and Boyfriend rips off a big tarp and finds Placeholder underneath it.

Daddy Dearest is the D-Side variant of the original Daddy Dearest and the main opponent of Week 1: Guest Star and one of the opponents of Week 5: Rotten Eggs.
Biography[]
Father of Girlfriend Gearest, husband of Mommy Mearest and Boyfriend's self-proclaimed nemesis and inevitable step father.
Wants what's best for his daughter, and believes Boyfriend is a terrible influence. Daddy is a terrible judge of character, thinking Boyfriend is a complete and utter delinquent who will just turn his daughter into the same thing, when BF really just wants to live a good life with GF.
When he's not trying to kill his daughter's significant other, this world-renowned rockstar enjoys spending time with his family, whether it be lengthy vacations or a simple picnic.
He also enjoys baking.

Daddy Dearest has a red skin, a mullet hairstyle and a full beard. He wears denim jeans fastened with a belt with a "D" icon on the buckle. He also wears a button-down shirt with a mauve suit jacket and a blue necktie. His eyes only light up during his singing animations.
For Week 5, Daddy Dearest wears an orange-and-brown plaid sweater and green pants for Easter. He also has visible chest hairs sticking out of the top of the sweater.

Skid and Pump are the D-Side variant of the original Skid and Pump and the primary opponents of Week 2: Sweet Scares and the playable character in Foolhardy.
Biography[]
Two VERY spooky kids, celebrating all day, everyday! Being (non-blood related) cousins of Girlfriend's, it was no surprise that they were hiding out in the Dearest's old Halloween castle, because they had a spare key.
They just wanted to have a little fun, and have a spooky time!
Their hobbies include celebrating Halloween, dressing up for Halloween, and just more of that.
Pump is actually a ghost who, conveniently, was dressed as a ghost when he died. His soul simply wasn't ready to die, so it just didn't. His body is kinda... rotting under there, but no one knows about this, not even Pump's own family. The only person who knows is Skid's mother, Lila.

Skid now wears a vampire costume consisting of a black suit with a light blue cape, black hair, and a single fang, while Pump wears a ghost sheet over his usual attire. They swing their arms from top to bottom, called the spooky dance.

Chester the Cherry[3], or simply Chester, is the D-Side variant of Monster and the secondary opponent of Week 2: Sweet Scares. They are a cherry-flavored candy that accidentally dropped into a vat of chemicals by Pump.[3]
Biography[]
This hungry duo just wants a good, hearty meal! Despite the lack of arms, they're both shockingly good at catching their prey, and even cooking it! What, you think they eat it RAW? They're monsters, not animals!
Chester, the cherry, spawned when a piece of cherry candy met experimental chemicals. The candy grew legs and knew one thing: hunger.
Lemon Bambino has no known origin, but Chester met him in a Walmart. He was in the produce section, so Chester bought him and took him home. Now, he has a sous chef!
Appearance[]
Chester has a cherry-shaped head and a single eye. His body lacks arms and appears to have teeth sticking out his chest, while his lower body consists of three legs ending in red circular feet. Lyric-wise, Chester is significantly blunter and more graphic in how he describes his threats to both Boyfriend and Girlfriend. His voice is also gruff and rough.

Pico is the D-Sides variant of the original Pico and the main opponent of Week 3: Bad Hair Day.
Biography[]
The leader of a notorious gang of hitmen and assassins. After his break-up with BF and the death of his friend, he decided to go off-radar with his remaining friends and make a living out of the only thing he knows how to do right: killing.
As edgy as that sounds, Pico is honestly kind of an oblivious idiot. He knows how to do his job well, but he doesn't take social cues very well, and doesn't know when to quit, often attempting to reconcile with BF, who wants to be left alone.
When hired to kill him by DD, he really did try to get the job done, but when BF was just repeatedly flexing on him by dodging bullets at point-blank range, he realized he couldn't do it, not only emotionally, but also physically. Like, seriously, how is he gonna shoot a guy with a reaction time faster than a star-nosed mole?!
Story[]
In the school, Pico had friends divided in 2 different groups, The Punks and the normal. The Punks consisted of Alucard, Hanzou, Cyclops and their leader, Cassandra. The normal kids consisted of Nene and Darnell, who Pico was closer with, but he thought the Punks were still cool. One day, Cassandra went missing until after classes. Pico and his friends discovered that Cassandra was planning on killing everyone in the school, and then herself, believing that it was the right thing. Her motives are unknown and she was a very misguided girl. While everyone were trying to calm her down, the police arrived and shot Cassandra, killing her. The event has affected everyone, especially Pico, making him very emotionally unstable and believing that he killed Cassandra. After that day, Pico left the school, and no one saw him for months, until his remaining friends got a letter from him: "I'm going off radar. Meet me in Philly." They joined Pico, living together in a spacious abandoned house, all of them working as assassins.[3] Eventually, Daddy Dearest hired Pico to kill Boyfriend, but he refused to.

Pico has elements from the original Cyclops and Cassandra, containing Cyclops' hair style and Cassandra's scarf and shoes. He has a blind eye and wears a black coat with a white t-shirt.
For Week 5, Pico wears a red vest over a white tank top, his pants are now black with a with a belt that has a gold buckle, and his shoes are now red with white fronts, laces and undersides.

- Pico was friends with Cassandra, Cyclops and the other goths, but was unaware of the school shooting being plotted

Darnell is the D-Side variant of the original Darnell and appears in the background of Week 3: Bad Hair Day and is the companion along with Nene for when playing as Pico. He also plans to be the opponent in the D-Side remixes of Darnell, Lit Up, 2hot, and Blazin'. He will also be a playable character in the D-Side remix of Overdue.

Darnell has elements of the original Alucard, having his dark jacket, pants, purple shoes, and his iconic black circular shades. Unlike Nene however, he keeps his iconic hairstyle.
His old look makes him more classic as he retains his fully black hair. His outfit is the same except for his shoes which are now white.

Nene is the D-Side variant of the original Nene and appears in the background of Week 3: Bad Hair Day and is the companion along with Darnell for when playing as Pico.
Appearance[]
Nene has elements of the original Cassandra, having her red hair shaped like horns, red makeup, and a yellow cross earring as well as a chipped knife on her back. She wears a brown jacket over a dark red crop top that bares her midriff, brown pants, red shoes with white soles, and a belt with a gold buckle. A small piercing is also seen on her tongue.
Her old look makes her more classic as she lacks the current bangs, wears lipstick, and has a red dress with red pants underneath as well as brown shoes. Her knife is undamaged as well.

Mommy Mearest is the D-Side variant of the original Mommy Mearest and the main opponent of Week 4: Red Head Momma and one of the opponents of Week 5: Rotten Eggs.
Biography[]
Mother of Girlfriend Gearest, wife of Daddy Dearest and Boyfriend's inevitable step mother. This ex-popstar likes the easy, slow life, which is part of why she retired, despite constantly having "coming out of retirement" concerts.
She has a giant collection of hobbies she picked up over the span of her retirement, so she always has something relaxing to do. That is, until Boyfriend came along.
It's been something of an exciting adventure, what with her husband asking for her help in eliminating him. She doesn't really care about Boyfriend and is actually quite fond of him, but of course Daddy comes before him in her line of "important people".
Appearance[]
Mommy Mearest's design is a mix of both Girlfriend and Daddy Dearest's character designs. Her hair is tied up in a ponytail with a pink scrunchie and has bangs that go to her shoulders. She wears a pink midriff and has a mauve red jacket tied around her waist. She wears light grey shorts, her bracelets are desaturated teal and she wears black heels.
For Week 5, Mommy Mearest's Easter attire consists of a black bunny ears headband, a black leotard that shows off her shoulders, magenta thigh-highs with fishnet stocks and her usual black heels. Her hair is also not tied up in a ponytail.

Sensei is the D-Side replacement of Senpai. He is the main character of the fighting game titled "A FUCKING FIGHTING GAME" (abbreviated as AFFG), a 16-bit retro arcade fighting game. In his world he is a former martial arts master and a martial arts teacher who has good morals but a short temper and is known to have outbursts.
Biography[]
This 700 year old martial arts master is one of the best fighters one could ever encounter. His moves are only taught to the most heavily gifted battlers, which is why he opened up a dojo, which currently homes only 5 students.
Think you have what it takes to enter the dojo? ...You don't! He's from a video game!
He's left something of a cultural impact on the world, though, and is now known as one of the most famous and most iconic video game mascots of all time.

Sensei has a strong build and wears purple consisting of a torn sleeveless coat, pants, and pointy shoes. His hair is desaturated pink, has a blue bandana, and a refined face and chin with a serious expression. Once he gets pissed though, he starts to change his skin color as purple veins begin to pop from his chest and arms.

Dwayne was a close friend of Girlfriend and after asking Daddy Dearest for permission to date her he waited until his guard was down and trapped him in Girlfriend's favorite game. He has become a bitter and angry spirit over time and doesn't care who he has to hurt to get revenge, even if it is Girlfriend.

Dwayne appears as a giant purple flame with darker purple thorny vines surrounding it. Its face has drooping crescent eyes and a melting mouth with a small skeleton nose. In his poses, his face changes to multiple horrific faces including realistic eyes and teeth.

- Dwayne is currently presumed dead in the physical world, as his gravestone can be seen in the graveyard in Foolhardy.

John Planeman or simply Planeman is the opponent of Week 7: Fight or Flight and is the D-Side version of Tankman.
Biography[]
The current head of the Planeman Force, Captain John Planeman. With his last name literally being "Planeman", its like he was born for this job! And you'd believe he really was with how he runs the joint.
Throughout the entire run of his career, members have claimed him as the best, most efficient head of military they've ever had.
He and his right-hand man, Steve, have been unlike any leading duo preceding them, getting the most jobs done, keeping morale up and dishonorably discharging those who mess things up, such as the recently discharged Sprinkles.
John enjoys to goof off and have fun a lot of the time, but he still gets hard work done despite that. If only he was a better person that eased up on the trigger finger.

Planeman is a pilot who absolutely loves his plane and his crew of pilots. Instead of a soldier helm, he wears a pilot helmet and a black aviator suit consisting of a jacket with white shoulder fluff, black pants, and long boots. He also has a white scarf on his neck.

Hatsune Miku is an upcoming character to D-Side. She plans to be a playable character added in 3.6 and the player character against Hex in the D-Side remix of Dunk. [59]
Appearance[]
Unlike base Miku, Miku piggybacks her design from D-Side Boyfriend, in which she now has spiky lavender hair with cyan tips, with one ponytail tied with a hairtie with a yellow prohibition symbol, the same seen on Boyfriend's shirt. She still dons a sleeveless gray dress except her collar is v-shaped and it shows more of her shoulder. Her skirt is much spikier and she wears spiked heels. She also now has purple accents all over her clothes rather than cyan.
Rather than a relaxed disposition, she appears energetic and determined and is much the same as BF's face.

Kagamine Rin is an upcoming character to D-Side. She is going to be the companion for Hatsune Miku in 3.6.
Hex[]
Hex is an upcoming character to D-Side. He's planned to be featured in 3.6 against Miku in a remix of Dunk.
Appearance[]
Hex still retains his appearance as a robot, but rather than be a basketball player, Hex instead takes of the form of a surfer with a blue cap, a white shirt, and blue shorts with a confetti pattern. His face is also yellow with shades rather than being a black screen with a blue face. His head is now a 90's computer monitor with cables around the back serving as "hair", and he has 4-fingered hands instead of claws.

Waluigi.ZIP[]
Waluigi.ZIP is a character created as an earlier D-Side design of Horror Mario. He is now an upcoming character and plans to be added in 3.6.[60]
Appearance[]
Waluigi.ZIP appears as a demonic and monstrous version of Waluigi instead of Mario. He now becomes taller and thinner, and he gains a monstrous glare with purple irises and an open smile that oozes a dark liquid. He also dons a blue hard hat with a purple upside down L. Instead of a cleaver, he instead wields a dark chainsaw.
Unknown Mustached Skeleton[]
This Unknown Mustached Skeleton character is an upcoming character for 5.0[61]. It's currently unclear to who this is, but according to the teaser, there appears to be a mustache that can be seen, which means this could be Mario related, or a new character entirely.
Chucklefuck[]
Chucklefuck is the D-Side version of Spirit. In D-Side, he was never put into a game and instead lives his life as a comedian.

Chucklefuck works as a comedian and appears similar in look to Senpai except he's wearing colorful 80's clothing with the purple and blue coat, pants with a pattern those seen on bus seats, and different hair and eye colors, having dark purple and brown respectively. He also wore a red tie.

Soul Ray[]
Ray the Flying Squirrel takes the place of Soul Tails as 1 of the Victims as seen in the background of Too Slow. He appears only as a head on a pike in Too Slow and held as a microphone by Zeus in Cycles. He is 1 of the 3 playable characters in Sega Sonic The Hedgehog trapped by Dr. Robotnik, with main goal being to escape.

Ray appears as a purple squirrel wearing teal and red goggles (though in the mod he wears one with a single window), teal scarf and shoes, and white gloves. His tail is longer and curl like a normal squirrel.
His old design has his teal accents turned yellow and his scarf was blue, and lastly his gloves had yellow bands rather than being pure white.

Fang the Sniper or Nack The Weasel takes the place of Soul Knuckles as 1 of the Victims as seen in the background of Too Slow. He appears on the right side of Too Slow, having seemingly shot himself. He is a recurring minor antagonist in Sonic Triple Trouble.

Fang appears as a dirty gold weasel wearing a detective's outfit consisting of a gray coat and fedora, as well as gray shoes and a yellow tie, overall making him resemble a 30s gangster. His revolver was replaced with a machine pistol based on the Tommy Gun.

Soul Maria[]
Maria Robotnik takes the place of Soul Robotnik as 1 of the Victims seen in the background of Too Slow. Only the top half of her body is visible, laying face down on the floor with blood seeping out onto the ground. Her glasses lie out of her reach, shattered into pieces. She is a minor character appearing in Sonic Adventure 2 catching a terminal illness that prevented her from leaving her place of birth, the Space colony ARK.

Maria Robotnik takes design elements from Dr. Robotnik, specifically his classic appearance. She now dons her cousins's red glasses, a long black dress with white triangles hanging off, and underneath it is a yellow shirt. Super Scourge has a mix of dark blue and black fur for his quills rather than purple. He has yellow eyes and scars around the left eye. He wears a bunch of ear clips and has a metal headpiece with a red gem in the center. Rather than a black jacket, he wears a yellow one complete with a belt with a skull buckle, black pants, and yellow and black shoes. He also noticeably lacks the two scars on his torso, instead having some fur tuft on them.

It was recently confirmed in this livestream that Matt would appear in D-Side. He is the opponent of the D-Side Remix of Sporting from his original mod, where he battles against Pico.

Rather than being a boxer or sportsman in general, Matt takes the appearance of the Scientist role from Miitopia. He wears a large robe with blue parts around it while the robe appears to be silver. He also wears goggles that appear the same way. He is also holding a liquid formula in his hand, the weapon the scientist role uses.

Blue is the D-Side version of Red Impostor. He plans to appear in the D-Side remix of Sussus Moogus.

White appears as a gigantic white impostor possessing the same vertical split across his body and the proportions of the original Black. Instead of a visor, he has medical glasses that ooze a liquid from the sides, accompanied by the same red glare he and Black has. In place of the cone, he instead has a giant dark green mohawk that gradients from green to pink. On his back is a giant glass container backpack that is filled with a neon colored liquid with smaller pipes that infuse White with the liquid. Lastly his hands are bloodied after his latest kill.

Red is the D-Side version of Maroon Impostor. He plans to appear in the D-Side remix of Boiling Point.

Red will likely appear as his parasite form, which the appearance of it is currently unknown, but as his normal form, he appears as a half-melting and oozing impostor wearing a blue suit with a red tie, and a backwards hat. He wields a bloodied baseball bat for his weapon.

Brown is the D-Side version of Gray. He plans to appear in the D-Side remix of Pretender as the opponent.

Cyan is the D-Side version of Pink Impostor. She plans to appear in the D-Side remix of Pretender most likely as a playable character, similar to the original VS. Impostor.

Cyan appears as a rather innocent looking individual, wearing a red snow coat, with a red flower on her head. Her visor is also yellow.
Palloswamp[]
Palloswamp is the D-Side replacement for Hypno and the D-Side version of Palossand. He is an upcoming character and will be the opponent in the D-Side remix of Lost Cause.
Appearance[]
Palloswamp is a sandcastle-like Pokémon that resembles its base counterpart except it is composed of mulch and mud normally found in swampland, as well as having scattered leaves all throughout. It has a stretched open mouth with human-like teeth, wide open sockets which have small eyes, and lastly a pair of small twigs in place of the shovel.
YX999[]
YX999 is the D-Side replacement for PS135. He plans to be the main opponent in the song Topsy Turvy, a remix of MARIO IS MISSING.
Appearance[]
YX999 is a monstrous Red Yoshi that looks anything but normal as he lacks eyes to speak of and in their place is instead its mouth and long tongue. In where normally its mouth is, it is just part of its skin with only an outline which show where it would have been. Instead of small limbs and shoes, he instead has dark black claws, long arms, and giant brown feet with curved claws. Lastly, his back is alit by a fiery mane that goes up to his tail.
His old design had him in Yoshi's actual proportions instead of being gigantic and he had human teeth rather than sharp pale white teeth.

Soul Stork is a chomped and dead version of the Stork as noted by his bitten off left wing and right foot. He is wholly lifeless as noted by X's on his eyes, a red head trauma wound, and that he doesn't have Baby Mario or Luigi by his beak which are both shaded in black.

Soul Poochy is a upcoming opponent for D-Side. He plans to be a opponent in the song Topsy Turvy, replacing Soul Peach.

Soul Poochy is dead and burnt Poochy which possesses charred skin, dark purple triangles over his body, and a red ball by his stringy tail. He is also on fire.
Soul Kamek[]
Soul Kamek is a upcoming opponent for D-Side. He plans to be a opponent in the song Topsy Turvy, replacing Soul Yoshi and Oogtar.

Soul Kamek appears completely different to the others as he has no injuries but is instead heavily glitched and blurry. He is seen wearing a yellow hood, what appears to be oddly shaped glasses with a pink triangle and green pixel shaped frame, and lastly is seen riding on his broom.

Benson is a upcoming character to D-Side and plans to be the opponent in the D-Side version of Unemployed.
Appearance[]
Physically, Benson is mostly the same as his normal counterpart except he is now a water cooler than a gumball machine. His normally red head is instead blue and is filled with water than gumballs. His body is also changed from red to green and has two dispensers with red and blue, corresponding with hot and cold water.

Torrent is a upcoming character to D-Side. He plans to be a opponent in the D-Side version of Sensory Overload.
Skarlet Bunny[]
Skarlet Bunny is an upcoming character to D-Side.[70]
Appearance[]
Skarlet still appears as an anthropomorphic rabbit but has instead predominantly blue colors instead of pink, ranging from her now bun-tied hair, inner ears, tongue, and clothing. Her outfit consists of an inner white tank top, a dark blue jacket, spiked bracelets and fingerless gloves, jean shorts, striped white and blue socks, and a pair of large brown boots. Instead of a cap, she has a tied blue cloth covering her head and a pair of shades. On her right cheek is a small cyan heart and she is seen holding a can of carrot soup or soda.
Dusk[]
Dusk is an upcoming opponent to D-Side. She is the D-Side version of Sky.

Dusk appears completely different than Sky, most notably for the lack of any semblance to Boyfriend, only retaining her purple eyes. She also now has a darker complexion, has purple hair with green accents and is tied to a ponytail, and a striped shoulder-less shirt and shoes of the same color as her hair. She also wears torn jeans and has a single triangular earring.

Orville Bloodorange[]
Orville Bloodorange is an upcoming character to D-Sides and is the D-Sides of B-Sides Monster. He plans to appear in the remix for Shiver.
2011 X[]
X, better known as 2011 X, is an upcoming character to D-Side. He will be the opponent in Obituary.[72]
Appearance[]
In his Faker Form, 2011 X resembles Modern D-Sides Sonic, but with several major differences. His fur is a slightly desaturated version of the fur on his Classic self, and the red on his eyes and shoes is significantly desaturated. The golden parts of his gloves and shoes are now featureless rings, with his shoes in particular lacking the usual locks. His chest fur is a bit more messy, fluffing out from both sides rather than just being a tuft of fur. His shoes are also now curved up at the ends.
In his true form, 2011 X’s sclera turn pitch black with red eyes, and are now crying streams of black liquid. The red around his eyes and shoes have now turned grey, and the white on him has all slightly darkened. His quills are now somewhat pointing upwards compared to usual, and his white teeth have turned yellow. His fur has now additionally turned a dark purple. In his “hyperrealistic” appearance, he loses the red eyes, he now is crying blood instead of a black liquid, and countless screaming faces appear across his body.

Dream is a well-known Minecraft YouTuber and he appears as a reskin of God Z, specifically his Alex Kidd form.

Dream appears in the form of God Z's Alex Kidd form where he wears a green shirt, blue pants, and white shoes. Instead of a pink gem, he has a blue gem and he has his iconic plain white mask with dot eyes and smile. On his hands are a diamond sword and in some poses hands a piece of Diamond and a single TNT.

TGT Sonic refers to Sonic the Hedgehog's appearance in a parody comic known as Tails Gets Trolled. He was intended as the opponent for a now scrapped remix of No Villains. This was done because of old controversy surrounding the base mod of Tails Gets Trolled.

Sonic's fur is now different shades of purple, having dark purple tips at the end of his head quills as well as lavender quills in his umbilical region (belly). He also a red highlight around his eyes. His shoes are now a darker shade of red and features a white half on the top heavily resembling tails' shoes, and finally yellow socks appearing as lockets.
His original look is drawn in MSPaint, mimicking the style of the original comics, meanwhile the alternate style is more akin to the mod's art style.

Normal Sonic was set to appear in Personal, the D-Side version of Personel. However, he was later scrapped along with the song because of the composers of Personel.[74][75]

Cosmo.ext[]
Cosmo.ext is an EXE created by the D-Side team. She would have been the replacement for Sally_ALT in the Sonic.Exe crossover, however due to the mod cancellation her plans were scrapped.[76]
Appearance[]
Cosmo.ext is a creepy version of Cosmo taking the place of Sally_ALT. Rather than green, she has reddish brown leaf-like hair which droop downwards, and one of her flower buds is opened. Her head is noticeably detached, only hanging by some green veins, and also her right hand which also hangs by veins. Her face is that of anguished joy with dark ruddy eyes with green ring-like pupils and a wide ajar smile, as well as dripping green fluid as tears. The rest of her clothes and body are also reddish brown, having a green gem on her chest rather than pink.

Usaguro[]
Usaguro/Maddie is the D-Side version of NeedleM0use/Sarah. She was going to appear in Swing-A-Way, the D-Side version of Round-A-Bout until Jojo requested for her removal.[77]
Appearance[]
Maddie is a woman with short blonde hair and freckles all over her body. She also has a similar face to Sarah except her pupils are light blue. She wears dark army green overalls over a red button shirt. She lastly has brown boots.
Usaguro resembles Feels the Rabbit, but with traits akin to NeedleM0use such as her snout. She has small curled ears similar to a dog, a pink bowtie, yellow gloves and sock cuffs, and pink and white pattern shoes.

- Rather than being trapped inside a CD, both are instead trapped inside a Tokyo Game Show cartridge of Sonic 1.[78]
- Usaguro's name has a bit of wordplay, combining the Japanese word for rabbit (usagi) and grotesque (gurotesuku).[78]

Luther[]
Luther was a upcoming character who was going to be the opponent of D-Side Her World until Jojo requested the removal of him alongside Usaguro.[79]
Appearance[]
Rather than Tails, Luther takes Sonic's place. His colors are mostly unknown due to him being left unfinished but his eyes appear as bright neon green, contrary to base Luther's blue. He also had a tattered cape and a bandaged fist.
Starved[]
Starved was an upcoming opponent in the mod, however was later scrapped. In D-Side, Starved is now Chaos.[80]
Appearance[]
Starved appears instead as Chaos rather than Eggman and retains the latter's soulless eyes and gaining a human-like mouth with small teeth. Its liquid body is now colored green and inside him are bits of flesh and viscera from its meals, suspended and unmoving.

Tikal[]
Tikal was an upcoming playable in the mod and would have been the playable in Fight or Flight.
Appearance[]
Tikal still appears as an echidna but is green instead of brown and donning a feathered fox-like headdress and a small gold necklace. Her attire is also different with her shirt being shorter, her dress having a striped spiky pattern, her glove cuffs being brown and dark blue, and wearing brown sandals. Lastly, her quills are more zigzag and have white stripes

Squidward[]
Squidward Q. Tentacles was an upcoming character to D-Side. Due to controversy surrounding BetaSheep, he has been scrapped.
Appearance[]
His design was changed from being based off the "Squidward's Suicide" creepypasta to his appearance in the SpongeBob Squarepants Movie in Act 3, where he and the citizens of Bikini Bottom are being mind controlled by Plankton with Chum Bucket helmets.[81]
Boyfriend was supposed to wear the wizard outfit and wield the "GG" guitar Spongebob uses.

Bootleg Spongebob is the opponent in "Dumped" from Mistful Crimson Morning. He was scheduled to appear in the collaboration with Mistful Crimson Morning, but also never made it. No artwork was ever made of him and was supposed to fight against Pico.[82]
