Hypno[]

They took her away from me.
― Hypno, blaming humanity for Alexis' suicide, Banbuds on Twitter - November 21, 2021

Alexis' Hypno, commonly referred to as simply Hypno, is the main antagonist of Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby. He is a Psychic-type Pokémon and Number #097 in the National Pokédex who, after the tragic suicide of his Pokémon Trainer, Alexis, grew to despise humanity and resorts to hypnotizing and kidnapping people in order to feast on their dreams forever. He is the opponent of the songs Safety Lullaby, Left Unchecked and Lost Cause, the playable character of Bygone Purpose, and can be either of those in Pasta Night.

Appearance[]

In Safety Lullaby, Hypno appears as a humanoid Pokémon with a bulky, dark yellow body, a long nose, a dark white mane, dark black eyes, foxlike ears, and no visible mouth. He has four fingers in each hand and three toes in each foot. He is also holding a pendulum made from a silver ring attached to a string. He also seems to be slouching.

In Left Unchecked, Hypno has channeled all of his psychic energy into his pendulum, causing it to hover in the air while growing and increasing in size. As for Hypno, his head has been gruesomely ripped apart from his body and is now floating and spasming around violently, still connected to his body via his body veins, while his body lies lifeless on the floor, with his arm still bent up as if it were holding the pendulum. The only thing keeping him alive is his psychic powers. His large mouth is also visible in his head, with the upper and lower ends of his lips connected by threads of skin.

In Lost Cause, he appears even more mutilated. His torso, torn apart from his limbs and lower half, is now lying on a gargantuan pile of his own organs and bones spilled out of his body. Amongst the pile of guts, his still beating heart can be seen. His arm can also be seen in the pile, which continues to hold the pendulum. His head seems to have increased in size a little bit, still twitching around violently, and his mouth is even more open than before.

In Bygone Purpose, a much younger Hypno is seen, being far smaller in size. His eyes are large and oval shaped, with visible sclera and irises, unlike his monstrous appearance, where his eyes are hollow. His design is far less detailed than his monstrous form, with namely his eyebrows, nose, cheekbones, and hands being less defined. In his left miss pose, his head is seen tearing itself from its body, referencing his appearance in Left Unchecked. In the second half of Bygone Purpose, Hypno's appearance changes into his regular design from Safety Lullaby, having his innocence and joy taken away.

In Pasta Night, he retains his appearance from Safety Lullaby, with the addition of a big purple bowtie attached to his mane. Only the upper part of his body is visible due to him sitting on a table. He also constantly scratches his head while looking down at his four glowing Pokémon cards, with his other arm around them.

In Sansno, he appears as a pixel doodle of himself with an exaggerated long nose and wearing a jacket similar to Sans' and blue pants. He only moves left and right and is static.

Trivia[]

  • In Pokémon, Hypnos are Psychic-type Pokémon and Number #097 in the National Pokédex.
  • This Hypno is based on the version of the character from TrainerDerek's Hypno's Lullaby.
    • In Hypno's Lullaby, Hypno hypnotizes and lures children into its cave and holds them captive so that it can feast on their dreams as well as haunt those of their grieving parents forever.
    • This portrayal of the character is based on the Pokédex entries for Hypnos in Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon X, which state that there was once an incident of a Hypno taking away a hypnotized child, with this sort of event actually outright happening in Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen.
  • Hypno's health icons in Left Unchecked and Lost Cause are animated, something not featured in many mods.
    • It is also larger than a normal icon from an icon grid (IconGrid spot is 150x150, Hypno's icon is 191x180).
  • Hypno is the evolved form of a Pokémon named Drowzee.
  • Hypno's pendulum is a separate sprite from the rest of his body so it can swing in time with the music without being interrupted by his animations.
  • Despite popular belief, Hypno was not run over in Left Unchecked. He is instead focusing all his psychic energy into his pendulum, causing his body to give out.
    • This is further exemplified in Lost Cause, where Hypno is even further mutilated, with his body seemingly gone except for his mane and head, with his organs spilling out.
  • Hypno's Pokédex entry in Lost Cause is identic to his entry in Pokémon Yellow.[1]
  • Despite being male, Hypno has the appearance of a female Hypno with clean and long neck fur, unlike a male Hypno's short and scruffy neck fur; this was most likely done for the sake of making Hypno physically more intimidating.
  • Hypno saying "Hypno wouldn't hurt a fly" during Safety Lullaby could be a nod to how Hypno, as a Psychic-Type Pokémon, has a double weakness to Bug-type Pokémon.
  • According to Banbuds, this version of Hypno grew deeply resentful towards humanity because they mocked his former trainer, Alexis, after she committed suicide.[2]
    • Hypno's monstrous tendencies of kidnapping and killing started out as a result of vengeance for Alexis, as well as due to her being his main source of food due to her willingly letting him eat her nightmares; leading to a situation of killing two birds with one stone.[3]
      • The song Bygone Purpose shows the aftermath of Alexis having committed suicide and Hypno transforming into the villain he appears as in the main week.
  • In Pasta Night, Hypno is shown with cards featuring Poké Balls on them, as opposed to the UNO cards Lord X and MX are seen using, these being cards from the Pokémon Trading Card game.
  • According to Banbuds, the taste of Hypno's semen is unknown.[4]
  • Originally, Hypno's appearance in Lost Cause was meant to feature "meat tendrils" attached from his back to the cave wall. Additionally, no real reason was thought of as to why Hypno turns into a pile of organs, it is just what the developers wanted to do. If there had to be reason, it would be a result of Hypno using a ton of psychic energy.[5]
  • Girlfriend waking up from the hypnosis prior to Lost Cause enraged Hypno and led to the song.[5]
  • Hypno's design in Lost Cause is a reference to Gurdy from The Binding of Isaac.[6]
  • Hypno is able to put himself back together from his mangled states in Left Unchecked and Lost Cause.[7]
  • Hypno apparently kills Boyfriend and Girlfriend after Lost Cause.[8]
  • Hypno was originally planned to appear in Purin during Hell Mode. It would have appeared in shadow outside the window, having stuck its arm through and added the pendulum mechanic to the song.[9]
  • Hypno occasionally sings while in the woods, and through this is how Purin is able to sing.[10]
  • Hypno, MX, and Lord X are generally friends,[11] with the three enjoying spending time together and messing with each other sometimes.[12]
    • Unfortunately, JoeDoughBoi has sadly decided to retcon that for Lord X's canon.[13]Although, he is ok with having the fans making the relationship non-canon.
  • Hypno can "throw it back".[14]

For some reason, Hypno's hand is still intact after transforming, meaning in an onler build, the puldum is still on Hypno's hand, but it was too small to be seen, making it harder to hit the check

Red[]

The Kanto Regions Greatest Champion, residing in isolation with his Pokemon at the freezing top of Mt. Silver. What a fool he was.
― Red (Dead Red)'s Pokédex entry

Red is the opponent of Frostbite in Lost Silver. He is the widely-regarded legendary Pokémon Champion of the region of Kanto who spent time waiting atop Mt. Silver with his Pokémon for whoever tries to become champion as their final obstacle in the Kanto region, waiting to give out his title. However, the freezing top of the mountain had rendered him and his team in a horrific state.

Appearance[]

Red is a young man with pale white skin with black hair, along with red pants, red gloves, black shirt, and a red and white shoe, hat, and jacket. His hat completely obscures his eyes.

After he sends out his Pikachu, he becomes a frostbitten mutilated corpse of what was once Red, with empty eye sockets, a missing jaw, a missing arm and leg, and a gored hole through his chest, showing his organs and heart. He has a lot of open wounds and his flesh is slowly turning off-red, as a result of the cold. Whenever he does his Left or Up poses, glowing red eyes can be barely visible in his eye sockets, and in his Pokedex entry, his eye is fully lit.

Trivia[]

  • In Pokémon, Red is the famous protagonist of the original first games, "Pokémon Red and Green", as well as the secret final boss of the sequel of said games, "Pokémon Gold and Silver". He is widely regarded as the legendary Pokémon Champion of the region of Kanto and the most iconic human character from the 1st generation of the Pokémon franchise.
  • In Easter Egg - Snow on Mt. Silver, Red has spent an unknown amount of time waiting atop Mt. Silver with his Pokémon for whoever tries to become champion as their final obstacle in the Kanto region, waiting to give out his title. However, should a player activate a certain cheat code within either Gold or Silver, a horrible secret can show just what kind of damage this kind of waiting can do to a team.
  • Though Freakachu was not responsible for Red becoming mangled and injured in the original story, he may be responsible for the sudden change in the mod.[17]
  • In Frostbite, he is shown with his left leg torn off while his Pokédex artwork shows him with both legs.
  • In Japan, Red was originally known as "サトシ" (Satoshi), but this name was later passed onto Ash, the protagonist of the Pokémon Anime.
  • Red's left eye glows red while throwing the pokéball.

Silver[]

Certain Pokemon have been able to hear the muffled screams and wails this trainer does. When they hear it, their faces are filled with fear.
― Silver's Pokédex entry

Silver is the antagonist of Insomnia in Lost Silver. He is a lonely Pokémon Trainer whose screams are muffled up by skin covering his mouth. He is always watching over his sleeping Feraligatr.

Appearance[]

Silver is a young man with long dark red hair and pale skin. His eyes, if he has any, are obscured by a shadow that covers the top part of his face. He wears a black hoodie with a singular yellow button on its lower left side, as well as blue jeans and black and red boots. Silver has no visible mouth, having it be covered by what appears to be his skin.

Trivia[]

  • In Pokémon, Silver is the main rival character of Pokémon Gold and Silver, as well as Pokémon Crystal. He is the son of Giovanni, the head of Team Rocket.
  • Silver in Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby is based on the version of the character from Pokémon Lost Silver.
    • In Pokémon Lost Silver, Silver, as well as the Feraligatr that can be seen next to him, originate from a secret hidden route found in the Fangame based off of Pokémon Lost Silver, where you fight off against him in a Pokémon battle upon interacting with his Feraligatr, in this case known as Feralisleep. Silver is a lonely trainer who is always watching over his sleeping Feraligatr. Anyone who takes the secret route and comes across the duo will be challenged to a Pokémon battle against Silver and his mighty Feraligatr. In case of defeat, Silver simply disappears.
  • The fangame from which Silver comes from allegedly had its script created by the original author of Lost Silver.
  • Insomnia was going to have an ending cutscene where Silver rips open the skin on his face and reveals his mouth, screams loudly, and sets his now awakened Feraligatr on Boyfriend, possibly killing him and sending him to the void Monochrome takes place in.[18]

Gold[]

I'm dead...

― Gold

See also: Gold (disambiguation).

Ethan (A.K.A Gold, Blake, or ... in this context) is the main playable character in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. He's widely regarded as the Champion of the Johto region, being the most iconic human character from the Second Generation of Pokémon.

In this mod, Gold, unlike most characters, has two different iterations, coming from two different creepypastas. The first one being from Easter Egg - Snow on Mt. Silver (where he is known as "Blake") and the second one being from Lost Silver (where he is simply known as "...").

Despite their differences, this mod's versions of Blake and Gold are the same person, but with different names.[20] Blake fairs off against Red (Mt. Silver) in the song Frostbite and Gold fairs off against Boyfriend in the song Monochrome.

Appearance[]

Frostbite[]

Blake is a completely frostbitten teenage boy with spiky black hair and pale skin. His right eye has been gouged out, leaving behind an empty eye socket, and a stream of blood flowing from both of his eyes. His right arm and left leg have been brutally torn off, exposing his mauled flesh. The skin on his right cheek and the back of his left hand also appears to be peeling off. Blake's attire consists of a black and white hat, a pale orange jacket, white shorts, and a single black and white shoe.

Monochrome[]

Following the end of Frostbite, Gold has now lost his remaining limbs and eye, as well as almost all color, being completely black and white aside from the various bits of blood around his wounds, hence the name of the song, "Monochrome". He can twist his facial features to lengths beyond what is anatomically possible, and has a black liquid pouring from his eye sockets. In his jumpscare, small red pupils can be seen within his eye sockets.

During the second half of Monochrome, Gold's head is torn off his body as Unown start making themselves visible from inside his eyes and mouth. His insides start to bulge out even more, as his spine dangles from what's left from his body. During his idle, his mouth droops open. Additionally, a group of Unown spelling out "NO MORE" fly around him.

In Pasta Night, he appears in the background, retaining his appearance from the first half of Monochrome, but wearing a red bowtie and tied aloft with red balloons each having the letters "H" and "I", spelling "HI" in Unown text.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • The cancelled V3 would've potentially tied the Unown King to the Unowns that appear in Monochrome, which is why concept art for Unown King shows it with the red eyes of the Lost Silver Unown, rather than the original white.[21]
    • This could potentially mean that the Unownking was released by Kris or Lyra due to the absence of Blake/Gold.
  • Even before the mod, Blake and Lost Silver's iteration of Gold bear some striking similarities, both:
    • Being versions of Ethan/Gold, the male trainer in Gold/Silver/Crystal.
    • Having chosen Cyndaquil as their starter (PLEASE for Blake, HURRY for Gold).
    • Slowly lose limbs as the creepypasta goes on.
    • Face off against Red in the creepypasta's climax, ending their battles with Red's Pikachu.
    • Feature a Celebi using Perish Song at one point in the story.
  • Interstingly, aside from Snow on Mt. Silver and the Unownking, Lost Silver in itself had small ties to two of the other Pokepastas featured in this mod.
    • Disabled's story ends with the protagonist receiving a Cyndaquill named Hurry, matching Gold's own Cyndaquill.
    • Strangled Red's second sequel, ***Door's Open*** depicts the player losing against Steven leading into the events of Lost Silver.

Frostbite[]

  • No matter whether or not the player wins or loses Frostbite, Blake ends up attacked by Freakachu, who is responsible for the loss of Blake's remaining limbs and eye.[22]
  • Red is most likely not draining Blake's health, but Blake is most likely draining his own health due to him getting colder as the song progresses.
    • This is further explained that when the bar is higher, the health drain gets worse because of Blake getting colder when the bar gets higher.

Monochrome[]

  • Long after the events of the creepypasta, he has become nothing more than a sad and empty husk, kept alive by the Unowns.
  • He does not want to kill Boyfriend, as he is emotionless and nearly mindless, simply returning to the solace of the darkness if Boyfriend fails.
  • Occasionally, the dead Celebi will use Perish Song and sing a few notes in the background.
    • This references the original creepypasta in which Gold's Celebi uses Perish Song, causing its death.
      • Speaking of which, the notes Celebi sings is Perish Song as it sounds in the games (mostly Gen 2 & 4, who has no 'additions' to the original sound), way deeper and with some sort of distortion.
  • Banbuds chose to frame Gold's song from a first-person perspective to make it appear creepier, as he recalled Lost Silver fanart prominently featuring close-ups of Gold looking at the viewer.
  • The reason Gold has a different hat in Monochrome is because Freakachu tore his old one to shreds during its attack at the end of Frostbite, so the Unowns gave him a new one.[23]
  • Banbuds believes that Gold is gone by Monochrome and it's just the Unowns controlling him and messing with Boyfriend. After the song, Gold goes back to being completely dead.[24][25]
  • The voicelines and vocals for Gold appear to be severely bitcrushed, referencing how his home console, the Gameboy, used to handle audio.
  • Contrary to popular belief, the quote "RUN STREAMER" has a chance to appear nonetheless even if the player has OBS on or not.
  • Gold will hover past the background of Pasta Night once, wearing a bowtie and being held by two balloons, inside of which are an H and I Unown.
  • Gold's second phase in Monochrome seems to be taken from his description after beating Red in Lost Silver, being just a head.
    • Additionally, this is the exact moment the Unown spelling "NO MORE" come into Gold's party.
  • Gold loves grilled cheese.[26]

MissingNo.[]

MissingNO is a programming quirk, and not a real part of the game. When you get this, your game can perform strangely, and the graphics will often become scrambled. The MissingNO Pokémon is most often found after you perform the Fight Safari Zone Pokémon trick.

To fix the scrambled graphics, try releasing the MissingNo Pokémon. If the problem persists, the only solution is to re-start your game. This means erasing your current game and starting a brand new one.

Nintendo Customer Service

MissingNo., short for "Missing Number" and sometimes spelled without the period, is an unofficial Glitch Pokémon species found in Pokémon Red and Blue. Due to the programming of certain in-game events, players can encounter MissingNo. via a glitch. It is also known to be a powerful being in certain creepypastas.

Appearance[]

Multiple MissingNo's exist within the different Pokémon games, but the one used here is the original Red and Blue MissingNo, which appears to be a scrambled block-like chunk of grey, light orange and white "fuzz" commonly described as a "backward L-shape". The different Pokémon that appear in MissingNo.'s poses are The Ghost, Kabutops Fossil and Fossil which appears for the right, left and up poses, respectively.

In Missingcraft, it appears as blocks of Bedrock that glitch about. In its poses, varying mobs pop out which resemble the Pokémon appearing from MissingNo. These include a Spider, a Skeleton, and a Phantom.

Trivia[]

  • In the mod's first iteration, to access its secret song, one must press up and down repeatedly in the main menu. A sound effect will then play, unlocking the cursor. After this, the secret song can be unlocked by clicking the 0 on the mod watermark at the bottom left.
    • This is a reference on how to get MissingNo in Pokémon Red & Blue. Such is also the case for the background.
      • One of the quotes seen during the intro of the mod stating “LET THE OLD MAN TEACH YOU HOW TO CATCH POKEMON”, backs this argument up.
  • This video contains a detailed explanation of the reasons behind MissingNo.'s appearance in the game.
  • This MissingNo., most commonly encountered during glitches, is a Normal/Bird-type Pokémon.
    • Bird-type is a cut type in Pokémon that got replaced by the Flying-Type. This relates to how one of its Unown messages is "Bird."
  • MissingNo. is a odd one out in the mod, not being based on a creepypasta, but a real phenomenon one can actually find in a Pokémon game.
  • Other forms of MissingNo. use the fossilized Aerodactyl and Kabutops sprites from the Pewter City Museum. The fourth form uses the sprite shown when one encounters a Ghost-Type Pokémon in the Pokémon Tower without having the Silph Scope.
    • These forms are all used as MissingNo.'s directional sprites, along with a different version of MissingNo. from Pokémon Yellow, hence the different color palette and the glitchier sprite form.
  • MissingNo. does not evolve into any Pokémon. However, there's a different glitch Pokémon known as 'M (00) that has similar sprite and properties as MissingNo. that can evolve into either Kangaskhan (at level 0) or Clefairy (at level 128).
  • Contrary to popular belief, MissingNo. does not appear in any game outside of the Generation I games. However, similar Pokémon known as ????? (5 Question Marks), ?????????? (10 Question Marks), and DPBox, which look slightly similar and fill similar roles, appear in successive games.
  • All known MissingNo. forms have several properties in common. They all share the Pokédex number 000.
  • The pixel art style from the original Week 6 of FNF is used instead of the normal style. This is to emulate the old Pokémon Red/Blue game's primitive graphics.
  • Believe it or not, MissingNo. is scared of ghosts despite a ghost being one of its forms.
  • Boyfriend caught this MissingNo. and used it to battle Buried Alive in Brimstone.
  • MissingNo. in Missingcraft is made out of Bedrock, due to it being similar in texture to the original MissingNo.
  • Despite MissingNo. playing a crucial role in Strangled Red, Dissension didn't feature it in any way.
    • Boyfriend tried to send out MissingNo. during Isotope, but Glitchy Red would've prevented it from being sent out. This is due to a unused animation being left over depicting Boyfriend throwing out a Pokéball, only for him to be shocked when Red himself erases the ball, a mirror to how he stopped the player from executing the glitch.

Buried Alive[]

See also: Buried Alive (Creepypasta)

Buried at the top of Pokemon Tower, his attempts to break free from his grave causes subtle but noticeable rumbles throughout the whole tower with anyone inside.
― Buried Alive's Pokédex entry

Buried Alive is the main enemy in Brimstone. It is a code script said to be a final boss for the Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town in Pokémon Red and Blue, but was replaced by the Marowak ghost.

Appearance[]

In the original appearance, Buried Alive appears to be a rotting corpse of a person of unidentifiable gender and age. They crawl from the depths of the ground with sharp nails, painfully thin in physique. There doesn't seem to be any pupils on the sprite either. Instead, Buried Alive has pure whites for their eyes. Their mouth is also open in what could be described as a permanent scream.

However, Buried Alive's appearance in the mod seems to have some differences[27]. Its jaw is extremely wide, with its mouth always open. A long, snake-like tongue is present in its mouth. Buried Alive is very thin, with its ribcage being visible through its skin. It has sunken eye sockets with red glowing pupils.

In Googar, he is drawn in a goofy manner, with a less serious expression and badly drawn limbs. He also has a bigger forehead, bigger red pupils, and yellow teeth.

Trivia[]

  • In the original creepypasta, if the player loses to the Buried Alive, and he will say, "Finally, fresh meat!" and some gibberish, and then the screen shows a typical Game Over screen with Buried Alive killing the protagonist. After this scene, the cartridge will download the image of Buried Alive murdering the player, overwriting the title screen.
    • In the mod however, after saying, "Finally, fresh meat!", he will kill Boyfriend and then shows the Game Over screen with him devouring Boyfriend. The image of this scene however, does not overwrite the title screen, and the game allows the player to retry.
      • The screen does not say "Game Over" as well, only the word retry.
  • Buried Alive is shown to be more malicious and more emotional than his origin, as he's shown laughing.
  • In Buried Alive's origin video, it sends out Muk followed by Gengar. This is reversed in the song.
  • Buried Alive's lower body has been destroyed due to the rubble keeping him down.[28]

Gengar[]

Lurking in the shadowy corners of rooms, it awaits chances to steal its prey's life force.
― Gengar's Pearl Pokédex entry

Gengar is a Ghost/Poison Pokémon that first appears in Generation I Pokémon games, and appears alongside Buried Alive in it's song, Brimstone.

Appearance[]

Gengar is a shadow-like, round-bodied Pokémon with two large, pointed ears and short spikes lining its back. Gengar has two red eyes and a toothy, sinister smile. It has claws on its hands. Gengar stands on its two short legs, but it can Levitate as well.

In Googar, it turns into a badly drawn version of itself, and as a baby, with a diaper. Physically, it now has smaller feet and hands, and has yellow eyes.

Trivia[]

  • In Buried Alive's origin video, Gengar is Level 90.
  • In his spritesheet, there are two extra sprites where Gengar holds a gun, and Pops from Regular Show.
  • Gengar, alongside Muk and Ponyta, is one of the few normal Pokémon in the mod.

Muk[]

Their food sources have decreased, and their numbers have declined sharply. Sludge ponds are being built to prevent their extinction.
― Muk's Ultra Sun Pokédex entry

Muk is a Poison Pokémon that first appears in Generation I Pokémon games, and appears alongside Buried Alive in it's song, Brimstone, shorty after Gengar disappears.

Appearance[]

Muk is a large, sticky, amorphous Pokémon made of living purple sludge. It has two small eyes with beady black pupils. It also has an enormous mouth with a gray tongue and strands of ooze connecting its top and bottom jaws. While it has no visible legs, it does have two arms with three fingers on each hand. However, it typically keeps one hand tucked in while it extends the other hand.

Trivia[]

  • In Buried Alive's origin video, Muk is Level 94.
  • Muk, alongside Gengar and Ponyta, is one of the few normal Pokémon in the mod.

Gallery[]

Hahaha, I guess not. That white hand on your shoulder, it isn't real.
― Unnamed Lavender Town NPC, Pokémon RGBY

White Hand[]

The White Hand is one of Buried Alive's "Pokémon", and appears as one of the final opponents in Brimstone.

Appearance[]

The White Hand, as the name implies, is a large floating hand with part of the wrist ripped off and long nails, and a faint cyan glow. The skin and nails appear to be rotting and the nails look wrinkled. Such nails can also be the fingertips without the flesh.

After using its transform ability, the hand takes on the appearance of Girlfriend in Story Mode, along with a pixelated effect and slightly distorted voice. She is levitating, her jacket and dress bloodied. The center of her face has a large hole, where some of her broken teeth are present. The skin and flesh of her fingers are not present, showing bones and with dried blood on them.

Trivia[]

  • The White Hand's appearance in the mod seems to have been foreshadowed as early as the mod's initial release, with it appearing behind Girlfriend at random intervals.
  • In Buried Alive's original video, the White Hand is Level 101.
  • Buried Alive originally had two White Hands, with one cut out of the mod.
  • The White Hand is based off a quote from an NPC in Lavender Town in Pokémon, if the player denies believing in ghosts.
  • The White Hand makes a canon appearance in Pokémon Origins, appearing on Red's left shoulder.[29]

DISABLED[]

...can you Sing?
― DISABLED

DISABLED is the opponent of Amusia. A Wigglytuff rendered unable to use moves due to a condition causing everything it does to be "disabled", it eventually tries to attack the author of its original creepypasta.

Want to read DISABLED's original story? Disabled on the Creepypasta Wiki

Appearance[]

DISABLED is a Wigglytuff, those being rabbit-like Pokémon with pink fur and stubby limbs, with a singular tuft of hair on their heads. DISABLED, when compared to the rest, has darker fur and empty eye sockets with red pupils glowing from them. Parts of her body seem to be torn, with her mouth in particularly being extremely mangled, with her vocal cords having been ripped out of their socket, leaving nothing but a stringy mess of flesh and blood.[33] DISABLED is extremely glitchy, causing the area around her to start glitching out as well.

Trivia[]

  • "Amusia" is a condition that leaves a person unable to perceive music, befitting for a creature who's unable to sing.
  • It's unknown what DISABLED will do to Ponyta if the player gets Game Over since she can't attack or do anything. Because of that, it's unlikely that she will kill Ponyta or do something harmful to it.
  • DISABLED is unable to actually hit notes, likely due to her condition.
  • DISABLED's icons do not reflect how much health she has, but rather how much of her is looking at the player.
  • In the story, DISABLED is Level 26 and had a unique nature, being "Gloomy".
  • At the end of the story, DISABLED was traded away for a Cyndaquil named Hurry. In Lost Silver, Gold has the very same Pokémon at one point.
  • The Freeplay art for Amusia depicts DISABLED as having the upper half of her left ear torn off, a trait shared by her Pokédex art. However, her sprites during the song depict the ear wounded but in one piece, and the pause screen art depicts her right ear wounded instead. This inconsistency is likely unintentional.
  • If the player lost in Amusia, it was intended for everything to go silent, before a soft pulse could be heard as DISABLED stares at the player from close up. Once the player opted to retry, a bit of DISABLED's face would briefly become more visible before everything quickly faded to black.[34]
    • However, in Banbuds' Q&A video, he stated that getting a Game Over in Amusia would have DISABLED jumpscare the player immediately and they would be sent in a minute back to the menu. It's still unlikely that Ponyta would die however as it's stated above that DISABLED can't attack.
  • Cartridge Guy seem to hold some sort of sympathy towards DISABLED, painfully stated, "She can't sing." when the player selects the Broken Bleeding Note.
  • DISABLED getting angry and moving towards the player is currently unused. It was most likely intended for the end of the song.

S!3V3N[]

His precious Miki was apparently dead, and with her, so died a part of him. His Pokédex, the other Pokémon, his badges, his fame, all of it, he threw it away.
― Narrator, Strangled Red

Steven or S!3V3N is the main character/antagonist in the Pokémon Strangled series, and the player character in a hacked version of Pokémon Red found in the trash. After a failed trade with his brother, Mike, Steven's beloved Charizard, Miki, died in the process, and Steven, filled with grief, is willing to do anything to bring her back. HE is the opponent of Dissension.

Want to learn more about Steven?
Strangled...'s archived reupload on the Poképasta wiki
Door's open...'s archived reupload on the Poképasta wiki
Strangled Red's archived reupload on the Poképasta wiki

Appearance[]

Steven is a Pokémon trainer with a red vest, blue jeans, and a cap. He has long, black, unkempt hair. In his song, Steven's eyes are always framed in shadow. About halfway through the song, while Steven is strangling Mike, a single glowing red eye stares into the camera. When the song is paused, art of Mike and Steven, S!3V3N in this case, appear on both sides of the screen. In this art, S!3V3N's entire face is cloaked in black with two piercing red eyes and an unnaturally wide grin, the overabundance of teeth stretching all the way to his ears.

Trivia[]

  • Dissension means a disagreement that leads to discord, potentially referencing the argument that eventually led to Steven killing Mike.
  • Interestingly, Steven shares the same name with a Pokémon character, being the Hoenn champion. This is merely a coincidence, however.
  • In the story, Steven knows and is something of a role model to Red, as confirmed by Red's mother in an interaction.
  • Steven's left and right pose (in the second half) are swapped, similarly to Monster from the base game.
  • The story of Strangled Red was based off the creator's actual experience of trading his Charizard, Miki, to his brother. The trade was corrupted, and eventually the creator decided to write the creepypasta.
  • Despite being one of the three singers in the troll song Rednecks, Steven is not an actual variation of Red, instead being Kanto's champion before Red and Blue started their journey.

Purin[]

This unknown form of Jigglypuff appears to have a far deadlier Sing ability than usual, be cautious.
― Purin's Pokédex entry

Purin is a creepy version of a Jigglypuff that's seemingly based a popular piece of artwork by Gaga Kuzuko [38]. It is the opponent of its eponymous song.

While the original image Purin was based on had no lore, in the mod, Purin was an assistant and Pokémon[39] to the hanged Nurse Joy in the Pokémon Center its song takes place. But as the Nurse Joy became more and more depressed and guilty at being unable to care for some of the Pokémon, some of them dying under her care, coupled with the area becoming less active a location for injured Pokémon to be healed, led her to decide and take her own life. However, wishing to not sadden Purin at her death, Nurse Joy slowly began to push it away before she eventually hung herself.[40]

Purin, however, did end up discovering what happened. As a result, in the current day, anything that comes too close to Purin is put to sleep and has its skin torn off,[41][42] which often ends up being lost children.[43] Purin then sucks up the souls of its victims to create "ring eyes" to keep Nurse Joy alive.[44]

Despite it's violent acts, Purin isn't inherently malicious,[37] and though its aware of what it's doing, it doesn't really think about it much.[45]

Appearance[]

Purin mostly resembles a regular Jigglypuff, though rather than being pink, Purin's hue is a dark gray, while its eyes are black, its pupils red, and occasionally cries blood. It's also capable of horribly distorting its face into far more horrific shapes, such as by moving its eyes around, growing a number of teeth, or holding its face open with additional hands, revealing a pile of bloody skulls within.

Trivia[]

  • It is implied that Purin takes place in the same abandoned Pokémon Center that is seen in the background of Safety Lullaby and Left Unchecked, as well as roughly at the same time.[46]
  • This is one of few characters that isn't based on creepypasta, but rather an infamously creepy image.
  • The song "Purin" was originally meant to be a cinematic event that would have many things come into play at different sections of the song. It was "basically a live action story with assets".[47]
  • The hanged person in the background of Purin, Nurse Joy, was meant to jumpscare the player at the end of the song.[48]
  • What exactly "ring eyes" are is unclear, with the only explanation being that they're "probably the only thing you cannot grab, it exists but it is not physical"[49]
  • Purin had grown tired of trying to put Pico to sleep around the time he starts freestyling in the song. This originally would've resulted in Purin turning their attention towards trying to put the player themself to sleep.[50] Purin would then have seemingly succeeded in putting Pico to sleep, but before it could do the same to the player, Pico would've reappeared as a ghost, forcing Purin to focus on him again.[51] Despite this, Pico isn't aware of the player, but was just very interested in the fight.[52]
  • Purin didn't originally look the way it currently does, seemingly changing by putting itself to sleep.[39] It's also been said Purin is a kind of "zombiemutation".[53]
  • The skulls in Purin's mouth are supposed to be children skulls.[54]
  • The reason Purin's face twists and distorts so much is due to it lacking vocal chords, with the contortions being how it sings.[55]
  • Purin mastered its ability to sing by listening to Hypno singing in the woods over a period of time.[10]
  • Purin loves pudding and sour berries,[56] with pudding being its favorite food.[57]
    • It wouldn't eat doughnuts though. If one was put into its mouth, it wouldn't even chew.[58]
  • Purin's favorite video game is Ghost & Goblins.[59]
  • Purin is unable to talk.[60]
  • "Purin" is a romanization of Jigglypuff's Japanese name "プリン".
  • Originally, Boyfriend was intended to sing against Purin rather than Pico.[61]
  • Purin would most likely be torn apart by Freakachu if the two ever met, though Purin would recover.[62]
  • Hypno was originally planned to appear in Purin during Hell Mode. It would've appeared in shadow outside the window, having stuck its arm through and added the pendulum mechanic to the song.[9]
  • Though difficult, Purin could be captured like a normal Pokémon, but doing so would result in its death.[37] This is because it has such a strong bond with Nurse Joy, that if one of them were to disappear or die, they would both vanish from existence.[63]
  • Although Purin takes some inspiration from the ARG Purin's Lullaby, the Purin seen in the mod has its own story.[64]
  • Out of all this mods characters, Purin has the most unused assets, totaling 8 unused sprites. The same can be said for the song

of the same name, totaling 24 unused sprites.

Beelze[]

No, no, your real name please. I can’t thank you with a false name, you know.
― Old Man, Hell Bell

Beelze, also known as the Old Man is the main antagonist in Hell Bell. In the creepypasta, the protagonist gets Hell Bell—Beelze's Pokémon—from a trade, it holding a letter that tells her to bring it back to Beelze. After she does this, Beelze asks the player to sign a contract with her real name as a trick to steal her soul. The same series of events happens to Boyfriend during his song, Death Toll.

Want to read Hell Bell's original story? Hell Bell on the Creepypasta Wiki

Appearance[]

Beelze resembles a gentleman with a mustache wearing a lavender three-piece suit. After giving the contract paper to Dawn/Boyfriend, his appearance looks more menacing, with small white pupils, a large jaw, his mustache also points a bit more upward, and his ears become pointy.

Trivia[]

  • Beelze barely looks like gentlemen trainers from Generation IV, instead more closely resembling one from Generation I or II.
  • Beelze is named after Beelzebub, a former Philistine god who is mostly known as either an alias for Satan or one of the seven princes of Hell (representing the sin of gluttony).

Glitchy Red[]

This isn't where I'm from. I've been lied to.
― Glitchy Red

Want to learn more about Glitchy Red?

Glitchy Red is the main antagonist of the song "Isotope" who was originally scrapped but has made a return in 2.0. He is a sentient glitch designed wrong and is vengeful for what his creator has done.

Appearance[]

Glitchy Red, is, well, a glitchy version of Red, the iconic Pokémon trainer. He sports his original counterpart's original appearance, wearing a red and white cap, a red and white vest, and blue jeans; along with the familiar black, spiky hair. He is mostly framed in shadow, with only one eye showing in his idle. After his second line in Isotope, he gains a wide grimace and a single white eye. His glitches in his poses also intensify, his jaw even unhinging in some of them.

Trivia[]

  • If the player played the leaked build, Glitchy Red would appear, with a custom line by TheInnuendo, talking about this matter fact.[68] And after that, the mod would later play only the leaked songs.[69]
  • Glitchy Red's monologue near the end of Isotope is a near direct copy from the spiel he made in Glitchy Red, the only difference being that "Blue Haired Kid" was originally "Brown-eyed kid", referring to how Red's design got replaced in FireRed and LeafGreen.
  • Concept art of Isotope's Game Over cutscene shows Glitchy Red trapping Boyfriend in the Game Boy where the Girlfriend is in, and then crushing them by stomping on the Game Boy, causing their blood to seep out.
  • Isotope, and by extension Glitchy Red himself, were brought back to the mod out of spite after a hate comment on the old version of Isotope.
  • An unused animation has Glitchy Red stopping Boyfriend from using a PokéBall. As the only Pokemon he had was MissingNo., this seems to be a nod to how he was able to stop the player from doing the MissingNo. glitch.

MX[]

This maniac version of Mario resides within an NES Mario cartridge with the sole purpose of torturing the soul of an innocent child. Although today he's just here to play some cards.
― MX's Pokédex entry

'MX is a character created by Frazzdude! and owned by RazzDazzleDoo. He stars as the main antagonist of the Mario fangame, MARIO PC PORT Currently Known As MARIO '85'. He is an entity residing in a cursed copy of Super Mario Bros. in which he seeks "playmates" to have fun with forever. He is also one of the playable characters in Pasta Night. He is seen sitting at a table with Lord X and Hypno. In the new update, MX will be replaced to Super Horror Mario.

Appearance[]

MX looks as he does from the Mario's Madness mod, being a hulking, monstrous version of Mario, wearing less saturated colors, a massive smile, dark almost completely empty eyes, and unique to his appearance in Pasta Night, a cigar in his mouth, as well as a few UNO cards.

Trivia[]

  • MX's vocals are from Friday Night Funkin': Mario's Madness.
    • This is due to being a crossover between that mod, Friday Night Funkin' Lullaby, and Vs. Sonic.Exe.[73]
  • MX was drawn by Marco Antonio, the director of Mario's Madness.
  • Hypno, MX, and Lord X were generally friends,[11] with the three enjoying hanging out and messing with each other sometimes.[12]
    • MX and Lord X are no longer friends and are not associated anymore[74] but Hypno and MX can still be considered friends[75]

Lord X / X[]

WELCOME BACK!
― X, Sonic (PC PORT) Remake

Lord X is a character created by JoeDoughBoi. He stars as the main antagonist of one of the various takes of the Sonic.exe creepypasta named "Sonic (PC PORT), and is one of the playable characters in Pasta Night. He is seen sitting at a table between MX and Hypno. In the upcoming remake of Pasta Night in the new update, Lord X will be replaced by his younger version, X, also known as 2011X.

Appearance[]

Lord X appears as he did in Vs. Sonic.Exe, resembling a dark version of Sonic, though with some notable differences. This includes much darker fur, bordering on grey, with him having some additional tufts of hair around his eyes, small red irises with X shaped pupils set in his black eyes, crooked yellow decaying teeth, tears of blood streaking his face, and occasionally, skeletal hands emerge from his mouth. His appearance in Pasta Night gives him a red visor cap and a handful of UNO cards.

Trivia[]

Trivia (Lord X)[]

  • Lord X's vocals are from Vs. Sonic.Exe. That being JoeDoughBoi's.
  • Lord X is the only character in Pasta Night song that does not use any gimmicks if the player plays as MX and Hypno. This is because he is intended as the hard mode of the song, as well as the reason that he never used any gameplay mechanics for his FNF debut song: Cycles.[78]
    • If he did have a mechanic, it likely would've involved the screen spinning.[79]
    • However, Lord X still "cheats" by trying to look at the other players' cards and hiding some in his mouth. This is purely for aesthetic purposes, and is the only instance of cheating in Pasta Night that doesn't affect gameplay.
  • Lord X was meant to have his sprites reworked, similarly to MX, but this obviously didn't end up happening.[80]
  • Lord X's visor is inconsistent in his poses. In his idle and down poses, the strap of the visor is behind his ears, while in his left and right poses, the strap is in front of his ears.
  • Lord X most likely won during Pasta Night.[81]
    • Ironically, he's the only one not to use any mechanics to cheat.

Trivia (X)[]

  • X upcoming idle might be inspired of that scrapped remastered sprites concept for Lord X, who was made by Banbuds
  • X's appearence is based on JoeDoughBoi's Design, which is also used in Sonic Legacy.
  • X has a huge interest in humans.[82]
  • X is egocentric.[83]
  • X is very inexperienced at game design and he does not savor it.[84]
    • As Lord X however, he seems to be much more experienced with game design as seen in gameplay footage shown in the Sonic-PC trailer.
  • This iteration of Sonic.EXE/X officially replaces the original Sonic.EXE created by J.C.
    • It should also be noted that Lord X was originally an unofficial fandom iteration of Sonic.exe.
  • There is an official alternative timeline by GEAR-0-SHIFT where Lord X is called Lord Mortis as a void being called Bandado overthrew him in 2011.
  • X knows how to play the piano.

Shinto[]

you cheated.
― Shinto, Pre-Shitno

Shinto is the main antagonist of her eponymous song, meeting Grey and escaping, going after Grey. She hails from a bootleg Pokémon game and has a deep secret hidden behind her derpy-looking face.

Appearance[]

Shinto resembles Hypno with a few exceptions such as having a voided mouth and eyes, no tuft of fur on her chest, a large round nose, and no hands or feet, with her limbs simply ending in rounded nubs.

As Shitno, her pixelated sprites are replaced with a 3D model, with originally empty eyes now featuring glowing pupils, while her skin becomes far more detailed.

Trivia[]

  • Shinto is one of the only original characters in the mod (alongside Grey and Alexis), and the only original opponent. Every other character has some basis in a pre-existing piece of Pokémon horror media.
  • It is a common misconception that Shinto got the nickname of "Shitno" due to her uncanny resemblance to human feces during said song. This is actually a nickname given to her by players who hated her battle for being humanely impossible, as her Pokédex entry says. It was also explicitly confirmed she's not composed of feces.[86]
  • Shitno's name originated from the developers jokingly referring to the 3D model as being shit, but when it was decided to give her a friendly form, the name was changed to Shinto, while Shitno was kept as the name for its monster form.[87]
  • Shinto is canonically a lesbian.[88] She can be seen interacting and potentially flirting with Coronation Peach in the background of Pasta Night.
  • Shinto can cook.[89]
  • Shitno was going to feature a mechanic that would've caused the background and sprites to mess up, which would've been taken to the extreme at the end of the song, where Shitno causes the GameBoy to overload and bit-crush both Grey and Shitno, resulting in both painfully dying.[90]
  • Shinto's first Pokédex entry pretty clearly seems to have been written by her. This is the only Pokédex entry to do this, though Hell Bell also seems to have modified its entry to a lesser degree.
  • Shinto was made as a joke before eventually becoming an actual character.
  • Shinto likes dirt.[91]
  • The game that Shinto is in is called Собрать ПН 9 (Collect Mon 9).[92]

M[]

Aw, you two seem a bit scared. Well don't be. I'mma not-a-gonna kill you... YET. I want to have some fun with you two midgets before I end your lives.
― M threatening BF and GF, Pre-It's-A-Me

Super Horror Mario aka Horror Mario, Mario.EXE, or simply M, is the main antagonist of Mario's Madness. While his original counterpart originates from an art piece on DeviantArt made by Shadow-Shana, this one appears combines the aforementioned design with CoolRash's Mario.EXE as the character's main basis. He is an upcoming character meant to replace MX in the remake of Pasta Night.[97]

Appearance[]

Horror Mario appears similar to his standard counterpart, but with darker colors. He has blood leaking down his eyes and mouth, the former of which is an empty void with small red pupils, and the latter being fanged. He wields a cleaver (in place of the original's kitchen knife) in his blood-stained hand, and is also taller and paler than normal.

  • Note that like the cleaver, the blood-stained gloves are a feature exclusive to M as the original Horror Mario's gloves are clean.
