Friday Night Funkin' Pixels, or FNF Pixels for short, is a mod made by Bluet Tech Link and Lucariomaster452. As of the current version (1.5) there are 9 weeks included, with 1 additional week on the way. FNF Pixels focuses on telling the story of its characters, while including challenging but fun songs to beat.
Within the 9 current weeks, there are a total of 32 story songs. There are also 19 freeplay exclusive songs, which include old versions of story songs, entirely new songs, and songs made by other composers.
Contents
Story
After the events of Hating Simulator, and the crash of the game that resulted from the battle with Spirit, BF and GF find themselves once again stuck within the videogame, during the mid evening. However, this time they don't encounter Senpai, but a man in red clothes working on some sort of project. After their first three songs, Bluet goes through an unexpected transformation on all of their parts, and BF internally rants to himself about the cast of characters he's had to fight to get here, and on what he has to fight now. However after one final song, they all leave on amicable terms, though Bluet thinks to himself how he hopes he doesn't see them again.
One week later, BF and GF run into Bluet again, and BF once again insists on a rap battle, much to Bluet's annoyance. As they sing, Bluet gets progressively more annoyed, due to BF's persistence, the interruption of his work, and the rain that starts during their battle. At the end of the songs, Bluet sends BF off, irritable and behind schedule. He's got an important job to do, and he's running out of time.
Another week later, in the early evening, BF and GF return to Bluet just as he finishes his project. While he's eager to activate it and leave the Hating Simulator, BF doesn't grasp the situation, and insists on a rap battle once again. Bluet dismisses him, insisting that he needs to leave as the world is falling apart. BF refuses, and Bluet says he can have one song.
After another song that's pushed on him by BF, Bluet is enraged. BF finally starts to realize he's gone too far. Bluet threatens to take him out with the world that's falling apart around them, before beginning the third song. Afterwards Bluet transforms again, and while he's full of fury that he can no longer escape, he decides to take it out on BF for his meddling.
When BF survives that final song, Bluet tries to tell him to leave, before the entire world fades to white. Bluet survives, due to the powers given to him by someone close to him, and he searches for BF in what's left.
Bluet quickly finds BF and GF within the void and starts questioning him, pushing him to speak in English instead of his beeps. As he's asked why he kept pushing, BF realizes he doesn't have an answer. Later, Bluet claims it's all for BF's ego, that he pushes to rap just because it makes him feel better. BF rejects that, attempting to explain, but Bluet cuts him off and tells him he's figuring a way out for BF and GF.
BF immediately asks why, and if Bluet is coming with them, and when Bluet says he can't because only two can leave BF refuses to take that for an answer. Bluet pulls into a song to distract him, before telling him to listen. He reveals that the void they're now within is a place of his creation, and he can't leave it while keeping it open. If he goes with one of them, the remaining person will cease to exist as the dimension fades. He's putting their safety over his own. BF tries to argue the logistics of the void, and Bluet gives up and pulls him into a song again.
After this one, the void is falling apart, Bluet's own form having fallen dark. Bluet issues him a challenge, since he's so stubborn. Either BF wins the next battle, and he and GF get to go home, or he loses and dies while Bluet and GF leave. BF realizes he can't negotiate anymore, and agrees to the terms.
He wins, and thinks about what it means that he can tell Bluet held back. BF realizes that Bluet never meant them harm, and that he really wants the two to escape, just like how BF wants Bluet to escape too. He thanks Bluet before he and GF go through the rift. Unfortunately, Bluet doesn't realize until too late that he never retuned the rift from his own dimension to their dimension. He hopes that the two won't cause too much trouble while they're there.
An unknown amount of time passes with them wandering through a dimension that isn't theirs, and BF and GF eventually find themselves in a large cave. While exploring, they encounter a woman named Azalea, and BF challenges her to a rap battle, as he does. She comments that that's a weird thing to do with someone you just met, but takes the challenge regardless.
After their first song, Azalea comments that his singing reminds her of a friend of hers, named Bluet. While BF internally regrets that he had no other option but to leave him, Azalea cheerfully asks him if he wants to hear a song she wrote about Bluet. BF absolutely does not want to hear it. He agrees to hear it regardless.
Azalea apologies for getting too into the song, before quickly remembering that she meant to tell them both something. She tells BF and GF that since they don't have a place to stay in this dimension, they can stay in her cave with her as long as they're here. She then quickly insists on another song.
As night falls, and Azalea mentions getting tired, she decides to challenge BF to one more song, and this time it's winner take all rules. BF agrees, wondering how hard this could be. He immediately regrets those words. As the final song ends in a win for BF, Azalea gets lost in her thoughts about how long it's been since she's seen Bluet, and her hopes that he'll return soon. BF checks in to see if she's okay, and she insists that she is, redirecting attention back to him and asking where he'd like to sleep. He responds in English that anywhere's fine as long as he can sleep. Azalea loses it at the fact that he can speak English.
Later, BF and GF are wandering in a park when they encounter a robot in a hoodie with a floating microphone. After a quick greeting, and question about the mic, BF eagerly challenges him to a rap battle. The robot happily agrees to it, but during the song he starts to suffer from some unexpected glitchyness. He thinks quickly over if he could be an internal system issue, before realizing it must be an external hacking attempt. BF becomes concerned, worrying that there's going to be a repeat of the situation that happened to Hex.
Both BF and the robot in question find out the answer to that question, as the robot's systems are taken over. BF becomes even more concerned, while the robot, Xeno, verbally tries to fight off the hacker. The hacker brags about being able to take him over due to his internal system issue, which pisses both Xeno and BF off. The hacker then threatens BF and GF, and threatens Xeno's life to be able to take theirs, and Xeno shouts at them to run. But they don't. BF stands his ground and calls out the hacker, challenging him. The hacker reveals that he knows how to truly kill BF, but BF refuses to back down.
After a hard fought rap battle, Xeno recovers control of his body, and BF expresses relief as he makes sure Xeno is okay. Xeno reassures him that he is, and BF mentions that he should probably get out of there. Before they go, Xeno asks if they've seen his dad, and BF says that he doesn't know. BF bids him goodbye, and Xeno responds in kind, before commenting to himself that he was supposed to meet up with his friend Pyro, and that he should get going himself.
While wandering a set of old ruins, BF and GF run into someone and approach them. They ask BF for his name, and once he answers they notice his mic and challenge him to a rap battle. He agrees, and they say they want to start with a warmup, while thinking to themselves that they want to test his skills. After the first challenge, which BF internally remarks wasn't any kind of 'warmup' that he's used to, they ask him if he'd be good with a faster song. BF starts to get cocky in reply, and they respond in kind by making fun of him, before telling him they're ready when he is. To themselves, they think that if he can make it through the next song, he must be the one they've been looking for.
He does make it through the song, and is rewarded with his opponent transforming once again, though this time into a more visually threatening form. BF loses it for a moment, angrily questioning what he did to even cause a transformation this time, while internally complaining about it always being before the third song that it happens. They reveal that the reason they're after him, is because he's in their dimension. They give their name and title, Hyacinth The Violet Reaper, and tell him that they're not going to go easy on him just because their brother Bluet did. Hyacinth explains that they got Bluet out of the void, and that they don't care why Bluet didn't kill BF, that they're going to make sure he dies because they're out for blood and won't stop until the job is done.
BF wins the final song of the rap battle, and Hyacinth becomes enraged, yelling at him in frustration at their loss. BF mocks them, and in a fit of fury Hyacinth swings their scythe at him regardless. It shatters as it hits him, leaving Hyacinth in dismay as BF comments that that's why they have to rap battle to kill him. As they yell about trapping him, they suddenly shout that they can't move, and at the directional calls of BF, GF's glowing red eyes reveal that she's the one moving Hyacinth, and keeping them from moving on their own. After sending Hyacinth flying into the sky, BF and GF quickly leave before they can land again.
After an unknown amount of time, BF and GF wake and find themselves seemingly back in the void, with an unknown person wearing a mask in front of them. Unknown reveals that she knows about him from her friends, and tells him he can ask any questions he has. He asks where they are, and she immediately backtracks and says he can ask almost any questions he has. He shuts her down by saying he has no more questions, and she tells him its time to rap.
Unknown informs BF that she doesn't want him dead, she wants information from him. He says he'll answer any questions she has, other than why he can't die unless he loses a rap battle. This is the only question she has for him, but she plays it off that she's fine with him not answering that, and pulls them into another song. At the end of the song, she waves her hand, and GF vanishes.
BF flies into a panic, immediately asking what Unknown did to her. Unknown tells him that she deleted her, possibly from existence. As the reality of the words hit him, she talks to herself about having discovered the reason for the interference around BF, and becomes happy at the realization that it was GF herself that seemed to be causing it. BF snaps at her that she got rid of the love of his life, and becomes so angry for several moments that he can only speak in beeps and boops, before he sharply returns to English. He demands she challenge him, because he'll show her that he can handle whatever she throws at him regardless, that he won't lose even after losing GF. Unknown seems unsettled by his anger, but starts the next song regardless.
At the end of the third song, Unknown's mask shatters, and the white void around them fades. As BF takes in the green room they're in, he notices that GF is alive, eyes glowing red, and he almost breaks down. However, when he sees Unknown, now in an Emotionless Ghost form, he goes back on the angry defensive. Unknown apologizes, and attempts to explain, but BF refuses to hear it. He says that he's angry, something that few people have caused him to be, and that he isn't going to believe any of her lies, her cute words, her illusions, anymore. Unknown realizes the only way this can end is with a fight, and she tells BF she's ready when he is.
Unknown is emotional, after the song, while BF is drained. Unknown rambles about how not only can she not kill BF, but she can't help him, either. She can't do anything. BF cautiously asks if she's okay, and she remarks that she is, before continuing. She says that the others treat her as their saving grace, but she doesn't want to break more relationships, she's caused enough on her own. BF asks why she pretended to delete GF, and she says she just wanted to complete her duties, that she never wanted to make him angry. BF feels anger rise up in him towards Hyacinth, for putting so much pressure onto Unknown and pushing her to do things she didn't want to do. Unknown remarks that she doesn't expect forgiveness, but BF interrupts to insist that he does forgive her, as internally he regrets getting angry in the first place. He convinces her to leave her 'friends' if they're treating her this way, that she's better off without them, and she agrees. She informs him the door is unlocked, and bids him goodbye. BF has a lot to think about and process, and thinks to himself about how he needs to talk to Azalea when he gets home.
After Bluet's return, BF and GF arrange to meet them at the park to discuss what's been going on. While waiting for the other two to arrive, GF and BF talk a bit, with GF asking BF what he thinks of the dimension they've spent so much time in. BF attempts to explain, but struggles with his words, and the two decide to let him sing out his thoughts instead of speak them. GF creates a hologram of BF for him to sing against, flirting a bit with BF when he expresses mild surprise at the creation.
Shortly after BF's emotional processing, Azalea arrives. She expresses confusion at the events she had just seen, but decides not to press, explaining that Bluet is running late. She and BF decide to sing a song while they wait. While singing together, a small crowd starts to gather to listen.
Bluet arrives, having finally located the three, and BF attempts to apologize for the events of weeks 1-4. Bluet brushes him off, saying that's no longer important, and that the attacks on BF and Xeno are what matter now. Bluet attempts to explain a plan he and Azalea have created, but BF cuts him off to explain that what he needs is to improve his rapping skills due to the fact that he can only be killed if he loses a rap battle. Bluet asks Azalea to sing along with him, in a 2vs1 battle.
They sing until the sun starts to set, to the exhaustion of BF and Azalea, while Bluet is unphazed. They decide to sing one more song, for the crowd that's gathered around them. After this song, the crowd disperses, and BF talks to Bluet directly. He asks about the group that's been attacking him, and learns that they are a group of four members that call themselves the Persistence. Consisting of Unknown, Hyacinth, the man who hacked Xeno, and an unnamed fourth member, they attempt to prevent dimensional traveling within their dimension. Bluet says he doesn't expect the fourth member to be encountered, but to be careful if he is. He then explains he has to return to his composition he's been working on, and leaves. BF invites Azalea to go with him and GF for pizza, and the three leave to do so.
In an unknown place, at an unknown time, three people speak. They speak of plans, of preperations. The end of this cat and mouse chase is coming. They speak of a rift they prepare, as a backup plan. They speak of weapon upgrades, of attacking a young man yet again.

Boyfriend
Boyfriend is as to be expected, the main character of Friday Night Funkin', and the playable character in Pixels. While at first he speaks in his usual beep and bops, the longer that he spends in the dimensions he's stuck in the more and more he speaks in English. He's still cocky, and reletively sure of himself, but he's not actively malicious as some may think. He reaches out to those he can try to help when he can, and only gets aggressive when he's pressed into a corner, or someone is hurt because of him.
Appearance
His outfit differs from his usual slightly; his usual prohibition shirt is now in black, and he wears a white hoodie over top.
Trivia
- His nickname is "Euphoria", in reference to him constantly smiling.
- The events of FNF Pixels have permanently changed him, which is best demonstrated by his actions during the sequel, Saturday Stuck in Soulstrike.

Girlfriend
Girlfriend is as she usually is, a character from Friday Night Funkin'. After being pulled into this world with Boyfriend, she's stayed rather quiet, preferring to just keep an eye on things while BF handles it. However, there have been a few times that she's used her personal abilities, and that she's been shown to be on the defencive while BF is fighting others.
Appearance
Girlfriend wears a more casual long-sleeved red dress with hose that matches her skin over her legs. She also is wearing her heels. The rest of her appearance matches that from Friday Night Funkin'.
Other Info
Within the universe of Pixels, Girlfriend has shown the ability to use two different known powers. The first is the power to lift and move individuals, and the second is to create a 'hologram' of a person. When she uses these powers, and when she's preparing to use these powers, her eyes glow red.

Bluet Azure is the opponent of weeks 1-4 (Scarved Showdown, Raining Rematch, Withering World, and Vast Void). He became trapped in the Hating Simulator during his experiments with dimensional travel, and has been missing from his own dimension for a month by the events of week 6 (Exponent of Two).
He starts out rather neutral, to almost positive when interacting with BF, but the longer time goes on that he has to deal with BF, the more aggressive he becomes.
He returns in week 9 alongside Azalea, and explains to BF that he isn't upset with him, and that he has an idea for what to do about his sibling and their friends.
Appearance
He has light skin, and short brown hair, held back with a black and red pair of goggles resting on top of his head. He wears a red scarf, a light red hoodie, navy pants with a red stripe down the side, and light red shoes. While his sprite doesn't show it, his eyes are turquoise in color.
When in his ghost form, he has the same appearance, though the entirety of his body and clothes become a glowing white.
Other Info
He is of a species known as Emotionless Ghost. Emotionless Ghosts are on a scale on how much they can process emotions. On one side, they are practically humans who have a ghost form. On the other side, they can feel practically no emotions, and when they do it has to be a very strong amount of emotion to feel it at all. He can change between his forms at will. He also can create a personal void dimension, though this ability was given to him by Azalea.

- Bluet has a small tooth gap, just like the creator of the mod.
- Bluet is the only character to have a losing icon during any song. This is only present during Agliophobia and its variants.

Azalea is the opponent of week 5 (Cavern Serenation). She meets BF and GF once they end up in the Pixels Dimension, and invites them to rest in the cave she lives in since they have nowhere else to stay.
She is very kind to BF and GF, and seems to be quite a happy person other than when she thinks of Bluet. She misses him, and he's been gone for a while.
She returns in week 9 with Bluet, though she seems distracted during the week's events.
Appearance
She has light skin, and long hair that fades from brown to green. She wears a large white shirt over a black leotard, black sweatpants, and white shoes with green soles. While her sprite doesn't show it, her eyes are green in color.
Other Info
As a goddess, she has abilities. However, the only one that has been revealed at this time is the ability to grant abilities to others, such as what she did for Bluet.

Xeno
Xeno is a robot created by Bluet, and is the opponent of week 6 (Exponent of Two). He runs into BF and GF while on his way to meet up with his friend and crush Pyro.
He is quite like Bluet, and he's polite when he encounters BF and GF. However, he quickly becomes concerned and afraid as he realizes he's being hacked, ending in anger before he's taken over. When he's controlled, the controller is very cocky, hostile, and very blunt about how whoever they are they want BF dead, and are willing to kill Xeno to do it.
Appearance
His head is a square screen, with cyan eyes shining through. He has no mouth. He wears a dark grey hoodie, grey sweatpants, and grey boots that glow cyan on the soles. His fingertips also glow cyan. However, these cyan lights can change color depending on various things such as: his emotions, his actions, and what's happening to him.
Other Info
He is able to use telekinesis on objects. This is useful, because his hands do not effectively move objects. He also has a malfunctioning antivirus, which can take control of him and cause him to treat everything around him, and within him, as a virus. He is usually able to keep it at bay.

Hyacinth
Hyacinth is Bluet's sibling, and is the opponent of week 7 (Electrodrifting). They have been looking for BF, and they want to make sure that BF is him.
Hyacinth's personality is flashy and dramatic, and at times they can be aggressive and hostile. They hide behind an alter ego when doing anything dangerous or illegal. When BF and GF encounter them, they're quite impatient and snarky. At the third song, they become hostile, and attempt to beat BF so they can kill him.
Appearance
They have medium brown hair, and light skin. They have a necklace they wear that has a cyan crystal at the end, and the crystal glows. They wear a black leather jacket, with the bottom cuff and the cuffs of the sleeves glowing cyan. Their pants are light grey jeans, and they have a pair of white boots with glowing cyan soles. Their sprite doesn't show it, but they have turquoise colored eyes.
Their demonic form has their cyan change to purple, their hands form into black claws, and they grow fangs. Their face is covered by shadow. Their microphone transforms into a scythe with a purple glowing blade.

They can change between their forms at will.

Unknown
Unknown is the opponent of week 8 (Illusionist's Nightmare). She has been sent to kidnap and kill BF.
Unknown is depressed due to the loss of someone close to her, though she tries to hide it with a wholesome persona. She goes through the first two songs trying to figure out how BF is able to survive unless beaten in a rap battle. At the end of the second song, after she removes GF from the equation, she even seems delighted that she's discovered that GF is part of the reason for the interference that has been following BF around. However, once she sees how distraught and angry BF is at losing GF, she becomes much more quiet and meek. At the end of the fourth song, she becomes upset herself, feeling like a failure due to the fact that not only can she not defeat BF, but she can't help him either. BF helps her recover, and convinces her to leave Hyacinth and the other, and go on her own. She seems to be slightly happier when they leave.
Appearance
She has long brown hair and dark skin. She wears a white and purple lab coat over a black t-shirt, dark grey sweatpants, and purple boots. Her mask is circular, with both the face and the strap that goes behind her head being black in color. The eyes of the mask are purple, and seem to glow or spark at times. Her eye color is unknown to everyone but Bluet, due to their previous history.
When in her Emotionless Ghost form, all her previously described clothing and her body are a glowing white, except for her mask which has broken and is completely missing.
Other Info
Unknown is able to change into and out of her Emotionless Ghost form as she wishes. She also has the ability to create illusions.

Roll is a major character in the Mega Man series who was created as a housekeeping robot by Dr. Light. She appears as a replacement to Girlfriend in the songs that are from Bluet Tech Link's past work, "Mega Man: One-Fourth."
