― GameBanana description section
Friday Night Funkin' Starcatcher is a mod animated by heartlocket, cleaned up by Criminalicy and with soundtrack produced by Stardust Tunes and AlmostComical. In this mod, the player collects stars from different planets to impress Alien Daddy Dearest and let Boyfriend date Alien Girlfriend. It contains Weeks 1 through 4 so far, with other weeks being worked on.
Characters[]
Astronaut Boyfriend[]
Astronaut Boyfriend, also simply known as Boyfriend, is the mod's protagonist, tasked to collect stars from different planets for the same objective as his original counterpart: get approval to date his alien girlfriend.
Appearance[]
Physically speaking, Boyfriend shares the same characteristics as his base game appearance, appearing as young man with fair skin, spiky cyan hair, black eyes and a small stature. His clothes remain the same, being a white tee-shirt with a prohibition sign on it, dark blue baggy pants and red shoes with white laces and soles, with the addition of a glass space helmet, decorated with a star sticker on it. As such, his hair and the tip of the hat press against its sides.

Alien Girlfriend[]
Alien Girlfriend, simply known as Girlfriend, is the mod's deuteragonist. Sitting on her boomboxes, she follows her lover in his quest to collect the stars on different planets, to get her father's approval so Boyfriend could date her.
Appearance[]
Girlfriend shares some similarities with her base game counterpart, most notably an exact hair style and a similar physique. Other than that, her outfit and some of her physical traits greatly differ compared to her original source, striking purplish pink skin, raspberry hair, two antennas with round, yellow head capsules, a fang sticking out of her mouth and a small blush. She sports a black sleeveless spandex with a raspberry top, long mauve gloves with three missing fingers, two golden bracelets on her shoulders and white heels with magenta stripes and toe caps. Even her boomboxes strike a different appearance, being white this time, while the two smaller ones are held by floating platforms, each having a pinkish rim, and below a turquoise ring.
In Week 4, Girlfriend is this time sitting on a floating platform, the first layer white while the second is dark blue, having a purple rim below. The platform has three floating rings below, each smaller and smaller, being pink, purple and turquoise respectively. The smaller boomboxes are placed right beside her.

Alien Daddy Dearest[]
Alien Daddy Dearest, simply known as Daddy Dearest, is Girlfriend's father, the opponent of Week 1 and the main overall antagonist of the mod. Detainer of the Rock Star, he doesn't seem to approve Boyfriend's intentions to date his daughter, challenging him to a rap battle to gain the said star.
Appearance[]
Daddy Dearest strikes a bearing resemblance to his original counterpart, most notably his lavender skin and an exact physique. Despite that, he still differs, possessing grape-colored hair, glowing blue eyes and the same antennas his daughter has. He wears a dark blue shirt with two yellow stripes on the bottom and a cape spilt into two colors: indigo with golden decorations and a space pattern on the left and deep blue with a royal pattern on the right. He also has two golden rings on each hand and a golden watch on his right arm.

Cosmic Skid and Pump[]
Cosmic Skid and Pump, known more simply as Skid & Pump, are the only opponents of the second week, as well as the detainers of the Spooky Star.
Appearance[]
Skid and Pump share an almost identical appearance to the base game, but with a few changes: their eyes are now magenta with small glints, Pump's pumpkin mask is now cornflower blue, Skid's costume has has a light blue shade and he wears a golden, sparkling decoration on his head that resembles planet rings.

The Piconator[]
The Piconator is Week 3's opponent, facing off Boyfriend for the obtention of the Cyber Star that he possesses.
Appearance[]
The Piconator, as the name implies, is part-human, and part-robot, with his main robot parts being his right arm, his left eye, and the left side of his face. He wears a black shirt, ferra-colored pants, a purple earpiece, indigo and maroon sneakers, and a dark blue jacket, which has its right sleeve blown off to accommodate his robotic arm. In his left hand is a black fingerless glove, and what appears to be a space Uzi.

Alien Mommy Mearest[]
Alien Mommy Mearest, known simply as Mommy Mearest, is the opponent of Week 4, as well as the keeper of the Pop Star. She is Girlfriend's mother and, just like her husband, doesn't seem too fond on the idea of the former dating the rapper.
Appearance[]
Mommy Mearest has the same colored skin, hair and glowing eyes as her husband and the same antennas as the rest of her family. She wears a sleeveless desaturated violet dress with side splits, yellow trims and lavender decorations. She also wears a pair of big, golden hoop earrings with star decorations attached to them and a purple cape with a constellation pattern inside it and white fur.

Trivia[]
- This mod is often compared to the UNDERTALE AU "Outertale", due to their similar space themes.
- This is further more pressed by the GameBanana's description page.
- This mod adds a completely new song to Week 2, Sugar Rush. It replaces the song Monster.
- The Eyes of the Universe (Skid and Pump's friend from Spooky Month: The Stars) appears in the background of Week 2.
- Almost every character has a "winning" icon.
- Skid & Pump and Monster do not have winning icons.
- Similarly, angry Senpai lacks losing assets.
- The main menu theme is actually a different version from a song for a mod made by the same composer: Friday Night Funkin' SD.[8]
- The instrumental for Sugar Rush can be heard as the end credits for an ETV show: Roblox: The Animated Series.
- The instrumental for the song Blammed samples the instrumental from another fan-made 3rd song for Week 2 by one of the developers for Friday Night Funkin': B-Sides, JADS, called Shiver.
- This mod and Vs. Dave and Bambi: Golden Apple Edition share a song name, that being Sugar Rush.
