This is the Funkipedia Mods Wiki Discord Policy. It describes the code of conduct and rules on the wiki's Discord server. Please be sure to read this info before joining the server as it contains crucial information, and it will increase your chances of not getting kicked or banned.

The Funkipedia Mods Wiki Discord server is the wiki's official public discord server. It was founded on Friday, March 18, 2022, 20:10:58 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) by LordShaojiVIII. Later, a new server was founded on Monday, December 12, 2022, by Unauu, and on January 21, 2024, ownership of it was passed to Mr Renn. Currently, the server has at least 1,800 members.

General Rules

  1. Be respectful. No harassment, bullying, toxicity, or slurs. If you feel like you've been harassed, then try to tell a staff member.
  2. Keep posts in their respective channels. Always make sure of the channel you are in is the correct one to share your stuff.
  3. Absolutely no NSFW allowed, including cropped and censored versions. Any post that is considered NSFW will be deleted immediately. Members with cropped NSFW as their profile picture will be requested to change them. If there is no compliance, they'll be kicked.
  4. Spamming/Flooding is forbidden, even as a joke.
  5. Do not impersonate people, especially big figures or server members.
  6. Do not abuse pings. Be wary of people's wishes about pinging.
  7. Keep the chat in English. This is a mainly English-speaking server and non-English conversations would be awkward.
  8. Do not break Discord's Terms of Service. This also means you must be 13 or older to be on this server.
  9. Listen to the staff, avoid arguing back, and if you feel a staff is abusing their power, just DM a different staff member. Loopholing will result in a timeout.
  10. No promotion outside of the promotion channels. Only repost promotions once a week in the promotion channels. Anything violating this rule will be rightfully deleted with the owner of such promotion being warned.
  11. Avoid posting weird or unsettling images or videos. Any videos deemed by a staff member to be unsettling or weird have the right to be removed.
  12. Avoid having more than two accounts here, if you are found out with way too many alts, they will be banned, and your main account will be punished.
  13. Do not post leaks of any kind on any channels. Respect the creator's work. For clarification on what's the difference between a leak and a teaser (as stated by LogantheCrazy123):
    • Leaks are stuff shown off without permission from developers, like whole songs, backgrounds, anything like that.
    • Teasers are stuff shown off with permission from developers.
  14. Do not bring religion, politics, or controversies. This also counts FNF Twitter controversies. The server is not a place for you to discuss if an "x" person is innocent or not. Keep it to yourself.
  15. Roleplay is discouraged but members are allowed to do it. Staff action may be issued if it clutters channels, or the roleplay is way too full-fledged and makes the space awkward. This applies to voice channels, too.
  16. Do not trauma dump/vent. While we here worry for your well-being, it's best for you to try seeking help from your friends in DMs or real life. Anything that is considered Trauma Dumping or Venting will be deleted for your safety.
  17. Avoid disruptive behavior. If you see a normal conversation going on, then treat it like so.
  18. Don't prey on people's DMs. Only DM staff when necessary. Don't advertise your mod or "recruit" people to work on your mod out of nowhere via DMs.
  19. (Try to) Maintain a good image on the server. If you feel a lot of people dislike your behavior, then maybe it's time to change for the better, or else staff action may be required.
  20. Be kind. Try to keep things civil and non-aggressive, and avoid escalating arguments. Don't insult people who you disagree with, and avoid being overly negative in general. (Opinions are fine, but be civil about expressing or responding to them.)

"Have common sense. If you feel something is wrong, then do not do it, even if it isn't in the rules."

Art Rules

  1. Users are not allowed to claim ownership over artwork that they did not create or that is not their own. Users will be warned. Further offenders will be banned.
  2. No plagiarism or tracing other's artwork.
  3. If users want to post someone else's artwork, they are required to credit the original artist. Users who refuse to do so will be warned or banned depending on the severity of their actions.

Staff Roles

Role Condition
Server Staff Users who hold the "Server Staff" role can either mute, kick, or ban users. They also have the ability to delete messages and lock channels.
Wiki Staff Thread Moderators, Content Moderators, Administrators/Sysops, and Bureaucrats of Funkipedia Mods Wiki automatically have this role by default. They have near absolute power over the server.
Server Owner The owner of the server. Whoever holds this role has absolute power over the server. The current server owner is Mr Renn.

Code of Conduct

  • Staff rules under the wiki's rules apply to the server staff. In certain cases, some of them may not apply at all if the circumstances are impossible to meet.
  • If the server staff members, along with the wiki staff, break any of the rules, they will be warned. Further offenses will result in demotion. Depending on the severity of their actions, they will either be kicked or receive a lengthy ban.
    • If the server owner abuses their power, members of the server, along with the staff, have the obligation to call them out on the wiki and migrate towards another server.
  1. The Power Rule - Only staff members have the final say in all matters. This rule should not be abused excessively. Use basic common sense.
  2. Assuming Good Faith - Assume good faith. Understand that some members here are new or don't know any better. If a user accidentally breaks a rule, judge their messages for their intent before ruling it off as malicious.
  3. Rules For All of Us - The server's staff, along with the wiki's staff, are not above the rules. Basic violations, such as posting NSFW of minors, will not be tolerated and will result in demotion or warning depending on the severity of their actions.
  4. Setting An Example - Set an example and enforce the rules, while also keeping the server a fun and safe place. This is not a serious server.
  5. Power Abuse - Any staff member who is caught banning members of the server because they dislike them will have their staff privileges removed.
  6. No Bias - All users on the server are to be treated fairly. The staff is expected to judge a user's actions before anything else. If a staff member holds a grudge, they do not have the right to block them.
  7. Ban Reason - If you are going to ban someone, always tell a reason why and never leave the ban reason blank or give a nonsensical reason. Staff members who violate this rule will be warned.
  8. Announcements - Certain staff members have access to ping and announce members of the server here. Only ping if necessary. Staff members are allowed to make joke posts if they want.
  9. Inactivity - If a staff member is shown to be inactive for a certain time, they'll be deemed as inactive. Extended lengths of inactivity will result in having their privileges removed.
  10. Resignation - If a staff member feels the need to resign, they shall bring it up to their fellow Staff partners.

Verification

The Discord server gives users the option to link their wiki account with their Discord in the #✅・wiki-verify channel.

Steps to verify

These steps will guide you on how users can link their wiki account with their Discord. LordShaojiVIII will be used as an example.

  1. Go to your userpage (click here) and click "Edit Profile" at the top-right.
  2. Enter your discord username into the "Discord" section along with your usertag.
  3. Go to the server, scroll down to the "ℹ INFO ℹ" category, and then go to the "#✅・wiki-verify" channel.
  4. Type !wiki verify (your wiki username) and the Wiki-Bot should reply to you and grant you the Wiki Verified role.
    • After verifying, members can claim additional roles that are only exclusive to wiki verified users.

Exclusive Roles

Below are some roles that can't be easily claimed in #🏷・roles channel:

Role Condition
Wiki Mod Developer You need to play a role (director, creator, writer, developer, etc.) in any playable mod that currently has a page in the wiki. Furthermore, proof needs to be provided to show that you worked on the mod (i.e. Credits section in the mod's GameBanana/GameJolt download page).

Note: The mod must have modified assets (character sprites, audio, etc.) that are both easy to notice and can actually be uploaded to a wiki page. Otherwise, it doesn't count. (By wiki standards, just removing some assets from the base game without much effort or using "invisible assets" doesn't count as mods.)

Hall of Fame Mods You are either the director or a developer of a mod that is currently in the wiki's Hall of Fame. (Staff Picks don't count.)
Content Funker You are a content creator that has a stable view count and around at least a couple hundred subscribers off the hook. The quality doesn't need to be the best, but it can't just be very bad.
Custom Role Any staff member (either server or wiki staff) can create custom roles for themselves. Normal members can have roles gifted to them, but only in specific cases. For example, MrMoustache64 received a custom role for being the manager of the notable Funkipedia Oddities Twitter account.

Star Wiki Funker Role

The "Star Wiki Funker" role is only awarded by wiki staff agreement on a certain user. People with the role are also eligible for custom roles. However, it can be revoked on either one of the following:

  • Rule breaking on the wiki and/or on the server
  • Inactivity
  • Wiki member becomes a wiki staff member

Example:

  • UnrealSussyMomentMyGuy is a trustworthy friend with the staff team. Thus, he earned the "Star Wiki Funker" role.
