Friday Night Funkin': Got Heck'd (Vs. Hecker)

Friday Night Funkin': Got Heck'd (also known as Vs. Hecker) is a mod created by LadMcLad and released on September 25, 2021 for Gamejolt's Mod Jam, ranked on 4th. In July 23, 2022 came the full week update for the mod,^[1] having 7 songs on total (two of those being part of its "story mode"), full cutscenes, and everything made up on Unity 2020, which is a community first. It's also told there should never be any Psych Engine ports^[2] or any other engine that ports into Haxe Flixel.

Hecker is a character from the Beluga cinematic universe, being a literal hacker manifested as a normal Discord user.

Hecker takes the appearance of their Discord profile, which is a Caracal Cat. (a.k.a Big Floppa)

Trivia[]

For some reason, Girlfriend head bops at the default speed instead of corresponding to the BPM of the song.
- This is due to the engine not having a mechanic in-place that changes Girlfriend's speed based on the song's BPM.
BF and Hecker's PFPs light up green whenever they speak, while GF's PFP always lights up since she brings the instrumental.
Girlfriend’s PFP stops lighting up in the crying animation. Boyfriend's does the same on his miss animations.
Hecker's voice is sampled from multiple Minecraft cat sound effects.
The mod uses an engine made in Unity known as FNF': Unity Party Engine, and is the first mod to do so.
The mod was created for a mod jam hosted on GameJolt that was themed "hacker".
- It ranked 4th in the jam.
Hecker’s design is based on Hecker’s Discord PFP.
Boyfriend's Discord name is Bee F. as shown in the cutscenes.
Hecker's poses are based off of the Beluga's videos where he's shown in fullscreen, mostly showing his sharp teeth to Beluga, or in this case, Boyfriend.
There's a reference to "It's Raining Somewhere Else" from Undertale in Hecker's song 49 seconds in.

rekceH (or Hecker) is an alternate version of Hecker that originates from another Hecker Mod from Mod Jam and makes a guest appearance in this mod in the song of the same name.

rekceH takes the appearance of a badly drawn caracal, meant to show that he is a faker version of the actual Hacker. He appears incredibly squished with small limbs, a big head, green eyes with large black pupils, and a long prehensile tail that holds his microphone.
