Joey's Lost Tapes is a mod originally made by Layzee based in the Bendy and the Ink Machine franchise. Ownership of the mod has since been transferred to Octavious and Sturm.
Story[]
One day, Boyfriend discovers a large cardboard box full of unused projector reels for the chipper show: Bendy the Devil. After viewing these reels, he is somehow transported into Joey Drew Studios, where he encounters the Little Devil Darling.
(NOTE: Ink Bendy + Beast Bendy are not the same person.)
Mechanics[]
The mod offers a plethora of game mechanics.
1st person perspective[]
For almost every song in the mod, the play is put into a 1st person point of view. This provides no reference to the opponent's side that the player can memorize.
2nd person perspective[]
During Sepia, the player is put into the perspective of the opponent rather then themselves. This is the done to confuse the player that they are playing as the opponent. This is the 1st time a mod has done this.
Split scroll[]
During segments of Sepia, the player's note UI will split up into separate areas of the screen, whether being placed on the top or bottom, depending on how the player utilizes their options.
Slapping[]
During ESS, Bendo will slap the player with no method of dodging the attack, the attack takes away a small fraction of the player's health.
Static notes[]
During the 2nd segment of Icarus, Sin will switch to the Wanderer. He may summon static notes against the player. When hit they will take away health and temporarily cover the screen in static
Ring notes[]
During the 4th segment of Icarus, Puppet Sin appears and the note UI transforms into a ring shape all lining up to each other. The player must memorize all of Puppet Sin's poses in a specific order to hit all notes correctly.
Angel Difficulty (Unused)[]
In the files of the mod, there is an icon for a second difficulty, simply titled Angel. The usage of this difficulty is unknown.
Characters[]

Bendy is the titular character of various Bendy animation shorts produced by Joey Drew Studios. He is also the main antagonist of the BATIM series.
In the mod, he appears as the main opponent for Expendable, and a glitched out version, Exqendable.
Appearance[]
In the 1st segment of Expendable, Bendy takes the form of his cartoon self, encompassing a floating crescent shaped head and a small black body. He wears a banana yellow bowtie, gloves of the same color, and black rubber shoes.
In the 2nd segment of Expendable, Bendy transforms into Ink Bendy. His eyes are hidden in ink and his body is more slender and anorexic the usual. He still wears his bowtie but is missing 1 of his gloves, more specifically the one on his right hand.
On to the 3rd segment is his final phase, transforming into Beast Bendy. His teeth sharpen and none of the other features appear to exist. He has tiny legs, large arms, and a bulky body, standing on 4s. His body is entirely covered in ink.
Trivia[]
- According to theMeatly's first Q&A video, Bendy was designed without a tail. However, it was stated that it is perfectly fine for the character to feature one in fanart.
- Ink Demon's voice and Cartoon Bendy's old voice is sampled from the animation "BENDY in - THE BUTCHER GANG!"[1]

Boyfriend is the main protagonist of Friday Night Funkin.
Appearance[]
Boyfriend isn't directly seen for the majority of the mod given how all songs take on a unique perspective, with the exception of Sepia where his appearance is shown. He is put in the style of Bendy with his color washed to that of the Sepia filter, wearing a dark cap and iconic bowtie, dark torso and light overalls with moderate buttons, sleeves of the same color and light gloves, and dark shoes.

The Projectionist, formally Norman Polk, is one of the many enteties wandering around the Cycles. He was the Lead Projectionist of Joey Drew Studios and serves as the main opponent for Sepia.
Appearance[]
Daniel Buddy Lewek described Norman as a character something from the comics, appearing elderly with a lined face and bushy eyebrows.
As an enemy, he appears as a tall robotic creature that is almost entirely covered in ink. His head is replaced with a projector, coming out is inked wires along with his right shoulder having a film roll on it.
In the mod, he is put into 1st person perspective, even though the player does not play as him.
Trivia[]
- This is the very 1st character to be put in a 2nd person perspective, where player is put in the viewpoint of the enemy rather then the player.

Bendo is a child's drawing of Ink Bendy. He occupies a plethora of songs, such as Gloibus and ESS, along with the character's vocal covers like PAYPONE, NO SAD NOR BAD, and BOUND 2 (MYNE DYMINZ).

Bendo appears very similar to Ink Bendy, however drawn more simply in comparison.

Sin is a scrapped design of Bendy serving as the 1st opponent for Icarus
Appearance[]
There are 2 forms that Sin takes as. 1 one of them is a humanoid form, appearing as a mostly black and slender demonic creature with his mouth hidden and eyes wide open. His expression changes depending on the note hit, such as a wide grin in his down pose, a forced gaping mouth in his up pose, and a split mouth in his right pose.
His right pose is a reference to Concept Bendy's reference sheet.

The Wanderer of Sin is an Easter egg found in Bendy And The Ink Machine if the player were to access locations not intended to be entered in the 1st place, thus encountering the Wanderer of Sin.
In the mod, they are the 2nd opponent for Icarus
Appearance[]
The real appearance and name of the Wanderer of Sin in unknown due to the incompleteness of the character's addition assumed the file name, and sign that states to be an unfinished segment. The placeholder appears as the original cardboard cutout Bendy with frightened eyes that move as well as sign that says Segment unfinished (sorry). Meanwhile, their icon appears entirely different, much like a head with it's mouth gaping wide open with no signs of teeth or eyes, along with the texture of static.

Trivia (General)[]
- The first version of the mod was made in only 11 days.
- The vocal change in one part of Expendable can help distinguish which version you're playing.
- If the vocals are high pitched, its the normal Expendable.
- If the vocals are low pitched, its Exqendable
- You can also tell its Exqendable if Bendy does not wink, as Bendy does wink in Expendable
- A lot of content seems to have been cut from the mod in the final release. This may be due to the directorship changing.
- To add to this, plenty of unused content can be found in the files.
