― Lycurgus, "Before the Storm".
Lycurgus is a werewolf who is the main opponent of the mod.
Appearance[]
Lycurgus is a muscular werewolf with grey fur, blue shorts, black eyes, and a fluffy tail. He also has 2 small scars near the right side of his chest with chains on his wrists that appeared to be broken off.
Personality[]
TBA
Backstory[]
Lycurgus is born in a wolf pack and raised by his parents. His parents and the pack are very supportive of him. He could get any kind of help whenever he wants.
His mother teaches knowledge and human language so he could get used to human society in the future. His father teaches technical knowledge and skills, such as hunting and surviving alone. It takes only a few years for him to develop these skills and become part of the pack as a helpful one. He has been helping people a lot by doing some small tasks every day and receiving treats and compliments as a reward.
Lycurgus and the pack live in a snowy, forest village. Each family stays inside a wooden house made by their ancestor which has over 50 years of history. The pack usually goes hunting together, while asking some to stay and protect the village. Whenever there is a human village somewhere nearby, Lycurgus is always told to stay away from them and avoid creating any trouble.
When he was 6 years old and on his way to train with his father, he met a few humans hunting deer as well. As the humans approach them, Lyc's father has tried to explain to them that they are not trying to cause any trouble, but the humans don't believe him. Later that night, his village was burned down by humans who are terrified of werewolves, believing they would bring chaos and disaster. Lycurgus luckily got away from his house before it was burnt, but his parents died in the accident.
After the tragedy of his parents, he starts hating every human and believing they are all hateful. He moved to a forest far away and stayed in a cave, remembering what his parents has told him and surviving on his own.
After a few weeks, he met an old werewolf from the same village who takes care of Lycurgus for 4 years. As Lycurgus is scared of going anywhere after the tragedy, the old werewolf told him that he should try to travel more. Going to different places will help him to explore what the world looks like and turn him into a more brave wolf.
Lycurgus follows the old wolf and travels to somewhere different. Until Lycurgus turns 10 years old, the old werewolf dies and leaves Lycurgus alone again.

Vermithrax[]
Appearance[]
TBA
Personality[]
TBA
Backstory[]
Vermithrax is born in hell, a place that's separated from the world where the rest lives. All the creatures that would like to travel between hell and the world have to go through portals that are placed around hell or created by the creatures themselves.
He never met his parents when he was hatched, but a guardian dragon decided to keep him and treat him as his son well. The guardian has been protecting the castle in hell which helps everything run smoothly, so Vermithrax has a lot of chances to go around in the castle.
The guardian is a wise old man, which is why he has been telling Vermithrax that learning knowledge from books is important. He always brings Vermithrax to the library and lets him read any books he wants. When Vermithrax is about 7 years old, he is surrounded by a few gangsters and about to be kidnapped, but the guardian uses his spells to kill them and protect Vermithrax himself. Vermithrax is surprised by how powerful the spells are, which causes him to have a huge interest in studying magic spells and becoming a great mage.
When Vermithrax was 10 years old, he got into a magic school and became one of the top students in it. He has been studying, practicing his skills and power with the guardian every day, and becoming a skilled mage at that time. The teachers and friends, even the guardian have high hope for him, believing that he would become a great mage and uses his power to bring peace everywhere.
When he was 16 years old, he graduated from school and keep studying in college, believing that becoming a teacher and a mage in the future would help more people to learn spells just like how he was taught by the guardian.
After studying for two more years, he finally became a teacher and teaches in the same school he was in before. However, he started getting bored with teaching students every day as he missed spending time with the guardian just like how he was as a kid.
He returned to the guardian who told him that he should leave this place and travel to the world since he believe Vermithrax does not deserve to stay here. He taught him the forbidden spell that would allow him to create a portal for himself to travel to the world.
Vermithrax is amazed by how different the new world looks, but he isn't used to going anywhere else as he believed it is too dangerous. He stayed in a volcano and met some dragons that came from hell and somewhere else in the world.
One day, a wolf called Lycurgus came to the volcano and meets Vermithrax. He decided to be the tourist and bring the wolf to travel around in this habitat, doing things and stay at there together. Soon they became friends and Vermithrax decided to follow the wolf and explore the world with this experienced adventurer.

ARG[]
During in the shop, it contains a locked album cover song seen on the shop, in which is dedicared to the song "Fallen Demon (Game Ver.)". By start, theres no way to enable to buy the song, however, after buying all the stories, the firth story note is shown with the text "The more you know, The more you suffer.", alongside with a link to Ardolf's old website. When acessing, a new section is seen, in which when clicked, it directs the player to a visual novel website game that controlls a unnamed human going to Shadelight Forest.
The website contains a total of six endings with multiple options, including game-over endings. However, majory of the choices contains clues to 10 letters in order to complete a single word to use in-game.
ARG: Website clues and choices[]
Start[]
The website starts with the human, being the player, entering Shadelight Forest and founding Lycurgus in his way. However, Lyc wanted to the human to leave due to the place being too dangerous, in which the human recuses, making Lyc growls and stares at the player frustratedly, in order to the player to leave the place. This results to the player in order to hide in three places, with one of them being a game-over end. Thoses being:
- "Behind a rock"
- "Inside a cave"
- "Inside a hut"
The cave and the hut leaves into two completely different places with different choices.

This website in question being a Notion docummentation about "Curse", the Notion docummentation also contains documentations for three locations, being "Nexus City", "Shadelight Forest", and "Crimson Abyss". (For more information about the website, see this section about the website)
In the diary, it contains a clue to a letter, in which on the final page, it mentions that Lyc has a very deep impression of a perking sing that he passed before. Alongside mentioning "that letter seems to be recalling his memory."
From the previous choices before, it choose Basement instead, it contains a book that contains a another clue for a word, this time, it contains varies pagesmarked, with one of them being nicknamed as "U+0052".

Choosing to running away will result into the firth ending, but if choose to waiting for Lyc will encounter the same and both will have an conversation about the human entered the Hut. Having now three options in regrads of Lyc, two of them related to the curse on Lyc.
- "I need to know more about your curse..."
- "I want to help breaking your curse."
- "Who are you?"
Choosing the first option, Lyc tells in regrads of the curse, and mentions that to break it, the player need to find few letters in order to break it. Resulting into the first ending, in which Lyc nods to the player and thanks for their help, with the player walking away and start the search. The second option also relates the same thing, however, with the mention that needs to being 10 letters in order to break the curse. Later resulted into the same ending.
Asking for how he is, Lyc seems suprised and mentions his name, it contains two choices, being "I want to be your friend" and "You don't seem to be dangerous actually...". When choosing the first option, Lyc mentioned that he has being cursed and didn't wanted to happend the same thing to happend his old friend. When asking about it, Lyc mentions that the old friend was Vermithrax, in which disappeared after one day that Lyc's curse hurt him.
It ends with the player wanna helping Lyc to find his old friend, and resulted into the 6th ending. When the player nods at Lyc and returns home. Choosing "You don't seem to be dangerous actually...", Lyc mentions that theres a demon inside of him, and mentions that hes not smart enough to figure out how to get rid of it, but he gives a clue to help the player about it, in which he mentions being "The key doth lie in the initial letter of my master's name." Afterwords, it ends in the same way as the previous choice.
Cave[]
Choosing the cave, the player can able to either exit or explorer the place. Choosing the latter, the player explorer and find a text that can't able to understand, being seen as "Werewolf....doomed...curse...". And theres a path that cannot be able to enter unless the player has enough power for it. Proccessing to the cave, the player finds a crystal, in which the player can do either stares or touch on it, in which resulted into the same thing.
Doing either of the choices, a voice resonates from a unknown source, within the voice asking for what the human desire and shall grant it in full. Having a total of three choices in between:
- "I seek for power."
- "I seek for wealth."
- "I seek for knowledge."
Choosing the power, the player gain more power and grows the body, with the crystal saying "I shall bestow upon thee all the power thou desires. But be warned, without knowledge, power alone is insufficient.", leaving the crystal, it contains two choices, comeback and gain more power (resulted into a game-over trying to gain more of it) or go to the leftpath. Choosing the letter, the player encounts a dead end, but it contains a "weird painting" on the wall, resulting into the 4th ending.
Choosing the wealth, the player gain a word "EMBRACETHESHADOWS", in which the player can use in-game in order to gain 500 coins. However, leaving the place, the player sense of "familiarity" in regrads of the word that was mentioned, giving another tip in regrads of a new letter. Resulted into the 3rd ending.
Choosing for knowledge, the player has three choices to learn, two of them related to the curse, thoses being:
- "Tell me more about the curse"
- "Tell me more about how to remove the curse"
- "Tell me more about how to be a hot werewolf daddy"
Choosing in regrads of "how to be a hot werewolf daddy", resulted the response being "Eternal suffering and pain.", referencing Lyc's past story. Choosing to know about the curse, the voice tells about a demon that seeks domain of the mortals, and two wretched souls was fated to the fuel its power, unless the curse be undone. Failuring to do so resulted into a complete absorption of their souls, leaving their bodies as hollow vessels for the demon.
Choosing about how to remove it, it requires ten letters to undo it, being scattered across dimensions and realms. When leaving the place, the player finds a paper that wasn't present before of the discovery. After picking up, it resulted into the 2nd ending.

Curse at the City[]
According to legends and elders from the city, Nexus was founded by a group of brave settlers who were led to the area by a powerful sorcerer. The sorcerer had discovered a portal to a demonic realm deep within the nearby Shadelight Forest, and he believed that he could harness the power of the demons to build a great city.
The settlers were skeptical of the sorcerer's plan, but they followed him into the forest nonetheless. They discovered the portal and were able to negotiate with the demons for their cooperation in building the city of Nexus.
However, in exchange for their help, the demons demanded a terrible price. They cursed the city of Nexus, ensuring that it would be forever haunted by their malevolent influence. The curse caused strange occurrences and unexplainable phenomena to occur throughout the city, and many residents believed that the demons were still among them, lurking in the shadows and causing mischief.

However, these stories about demons and curses are based on legend and hearsay, passed down through generations by elders and storytellers. While they add to the mystique and intrigue of Nexus, there is no concrete evidence to support their validity.

Shadelight Forest[]
Description[]
Shadelight Forest is a place of deep mystery and foreboding. Its ancient trees loom overhead, casting long shadows across the forest floor. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves, and the eerie silence is broken only by the occasional rustle of unseen creatures in the underbrush.
But what truly sets Shadelight apart from other forests is the curse that is said to afflict its very soil. Legend has it that those who venture too far into the center of the forest, a massive rock cave known as the Crimson Abyss, will be struck by a curse that twists their mind and body, transforming them into a creature that haunts the woods for all eternity.
While these stories have been passed down through generations, their accuracy and authenticity cannot be confirmed.
Location[]
Shadelight forest is between the Nexus City and Moonlit Beach.
“Despite the existence of a shortcut enabling citizens to travel between destinations, rumors have dissuaded many from venturing into the forest.”
Crimson Abyss[]
Crimson Abyss[]
Crimson Abyss is a cave in the heart of the Shadelight forest famous for the red crystal located at the bottom of the cave.
The crystal is said to possess the power to taint and bestow great power upon anyone who approaches it. It is also believed that the crystal has a mind of its own and can manipulate people's thoughts and actions. Over time, the cave has become the subject of many legends and stories, and it is rumored that those who enter the cave never return.
Despite the rumors, many adventurers and treasure hunters have attempted to explore the cave and reach the crystal. Some have succeeded, but at a great cost. The crystal's power is not something to be taken lightly, and those who approach it recklessly are often consumed by its malevolent influence.
Those who have reached the crystal have reported feeling a sense of overwhelming power and energy. Some have even claimed to have gained supernatural abilities, such as the power to control minds or bend reality. However, the price of such power is high, and those who have succumbed to the crystal's malevolent influence have become twisted and evil.
Location[]
At the center of Shadelight Forest
Curse[]
Origins[]
Long ago, in the dark and eerie depths of the underworld, demons discovered a powerful curse that would help them become stronger than ever before. This curse, when placed upon creatures, would allow the demon to control their mind and turn them into a vessel for absorbing power.
The demons began to spread the curse throughout the world, seeking out humans with a strong will and a desire for power. They would offer these humans the chance to become rulers of the world, promising them untold riches and power beyond their wildest dreams.
At first, the creatures were skeptical, but the demons were cunning and patient. They would slowly work their way into the human's mind, planting seeds of doubt and fear until they were ready to strike.
Once the curse was in place, the demon would take control of the creatures, using their body as a vessel for absorbing power. The demon would grow stronger, absorbing the creatures’ energy and using it to fuel their own dark magic.
The creatures would be left as empty shells, their minds and souls consumed by the demon's curse. They would wander the earth, searching for more power to feed their demon overlords.
And so it was that the curse of the gods became a tool for the demons, a way for them to control the world and become the most powerful beings in existence. But little did they know that the curse would one day be turned against them, as a group of brave warriors rose up to challenge their dark reign.
Curse Names[]
