The Trollge Files, originally known as The Blueballs Incident, is a mod created and directed by Malicious Bunny. It is based on the Trollge "meme", which are based on Trollface comics (one of the first memes on internet), but with a darker and more twisted take.
Trollges are a species of "stick-figure" creatures that appear in and are the main antagonists of this mod. They originate from narrative videos posted by MaliciousBunny imitating a VHS tape, telling a piece of the lore of that universe. In total, 3 videos were posted (excluding the teaser or videos related to the mod itself), with the last one, Le Trallface, being more of a joke. Within MaliciousBunny's world, the Trollges are anomalous, dangerous creatures with a myriad of special abilities that can make them harmful to everyone around them, including themselves.
Gameplay Mechanics
- In one part of Incident and multiple times throughout Technophobia the health bar will push back, similar to Tricky the Clown's minion grabbing in Expurgation, however it can be countered by hitting notes, and it's slower, so it's not impossible. Derpy's tentacle has a similar effect in Dystychiphobia.
- In Pteromerhanophobia, a Trollge with an axe will appear and chop the health bar. Being in the red line that appears after the Trollge chops the health bar will result in instant death. Added in the most recent update, are oil notes, which, if hit, will take away a major chunk of the player's health leading to in theory, the Trollge with the axe to finish the job.
- In Paedophobia after a certain point, getting to full health will end up pushing it back immensely, leading the player to have to keep an eye on health. There are also washed-out red notes that will cause a distorted close up of JJ's face to fade in temporarily, hitting too many of which will cause a game over.
- At the beginning of Glossophobia, black and white notes appear in Jhenkins' side of the chart, but their effect is unknown.
- Throughout Technophobia, dark gray glitched notes will appear, and hitting these will make the player lose a chunk of their health.
- At some moments in Dystychiphobia, the health bar will be outlined in yellow, causing the player to not get health when the outline is active. There are also static filled gray notes that, when hit, will drain the player's health briefly.
- Whenever Boyfriend sings during Thanatophobia, Girlfriend will constantly try to drain the player's health until it's at a certain point. Sometimes, when she sings a red note, the health drain gets more intense until the health bar is at less than 1 percent. If the player hits these notes, the position of the note strum will be changed. There are also completely black notes that make the screen slightly darker, and black notes with a purple outline that make the scroll speed slightly faster. Basically, if any notes out of place appear, do not hit them.
- During My Dear Love, it is impossible to regain health, and the health bar starts at 100 percent, unlike the regular 50 percent. The first time the player plays My Dear Love, the health will keep draining, and it can't be stopped. However, during the second time, every time the health starts draining, a text saying "PRESS SPACE" will fade into view. If the player presses space, it stops the health drain.
- During Athazagoraphobia, a multitude of mechanics can be seen, including Troll Boyfriends that the player must hover over, eyes that need to be swiped at with the mouse, notes that only appear in outline, making them easy to slip by, and projectiles being spat out by Legion that the player needs to block with the mouse.
- During Your Mom, Trallface cycles through using the mechanics from some of the other Trollges, in the order of Smiler, Stairway, Derpy, and finally JJ. The appearance of a 'Trallface variant' of each character beside the original Trallface will signify this happening, and the music for each of their respective parts also vaguely resemble ects from their original songs as well. During the climax of the song, each Trallface will appear, but only Smiler's health drain and Stairway's oil notes appear to be active during this segment.

- This mod is notable to make the game crash BEFORE & AFTER Legion's song. For in this case, it's when the player loses in My Dear Love & give up on Athazagoraphobia.
- This is the fifth mod that forces the game to crash under certain conditions, after Cyber Sensation, Doki Doki Takeover, Vs. Dave and Bambi, and Vs. Sonic.Exe. Out of these, The Trollge Files is the third mod where the game crash does not impede progress, after Cyber Sensation and Doki Doki Takeover.
