VS. Impostor, codenamed UPDOG, is a Friday Night Funkin' mod developed and directed by UPDOG TEAM. The mod acts as a complete reimagining of the original, with the intent to "take what the developers love about the original mod and push it to its maximum potential".[2]
Announced on April 1, 2025 in "VS IMPOSTOR DIRECT", the first week was released on April 25, 2025, with five more coming in the near future.

Red[]

Red Impostor is one of the antagonists. They are the first and only opponent of Week 1. They are shown to be the dumber one between themselves and Green.
A reckless and impatient killer, he is the opponent of Sussus Moogus, Sabotage, and Meltdown.
Appearance[]
Red Impostor is a red bean-shaped astronaut with floating hands. In the mod, they hold their mic in their left hand and wield a gun in their right, which changes into a knife in their up pose (both of which reference kill animations in Among Us). In all of their poses, they are shown to have a mouth filled with sharp teeth in the middle of their body. They also have a sharp tongue (shown in their up pose), which is used in the Among Us kill animations to stab a crewmate.

Donkey Kong[]
Donkey Kong is the main protagonist of his titular series. He makes a sudden cameo in VS. Impostor as a secret opponent in Bananas.
Appearance[]
Donkey Kong's appearance in this mod is based on his appearance in Donkey Kong 64, appearing as a polygonal brown ape with a red tie with "DK" on it.
Trivia[]
- Up to the mod's release, Donkey Kong and his song were originally an unfinished concept posted on Clowfoe's channel from 2 years ago and the song itself was made about 3 years ago.
- It was also something he didn't think he would release at all, but he eventually decided to finish it, and also decided to hide it inside of the mod's source code.

Boyfriend[]
Boyfriend is the main playable character of the mod. He is a young, skilled rapper with natural cyan hair who often communicates in musical tones rather than talking. Despite lacking average intelligence, his love towards his girlfriend is immense to a fatal point and he has good intuition.
Appearance[]
Boyfriend has a spiky cyan hair. He wears a backward red cap with a black brim, a red coat with a cyan prohibition sign on region of the heart, a cyan scarf, baggy cyan pants and black sneakers.
In Bananas, Boyfriend turns into a brown polygonal monkey with his iconic white shirt with prohibition sign, blue hair, and red hat with dark blue brim.

Detective[]
Detective is a character who appears during the Post-Meltdown cutscene to deduce Red being the impostor. A smart crewmate trying to solve this case, he is a temporary playable character in Sabotage and a background character in Meltdown.
Appearance[]
Detective is a black bean-shaped astronaut with floating hands. He wears a fedora, and has a dimmed visor.
Trivia[]
- While unintentional, the Detective did end up becoming an official Crewmate role on September 9, 2025 in Update 17.0.0.

Pico[]
Pico is the tritagonist of Friday Night Funkin.
He is an assassin who has been in the field since he was a child, earning fame for his successful efforts at saving his school and protecting the planet from extraterrestrial invaders.
Appearance[]
Pico is a young man with light skin, short ginger hair with three rounded spikes sticking out of the back, and distinctive white eyes with no pupils. He wears earmuffs, a green hoodie, red pants, and a pair of maroon sneakers with orange laces, orange buttons on the sides, and black sneakers. He wields a gun loosely based on an Ingram MAC-10 pistol in one hand and holds a bluish-gray microphone in the other with his thumb pointing out.

Green Impostor is one of the upcoming antagonists, the second impostor shown, and will be the main opponent in Week 2. He is portrayed as the more intelligent between himself and Red, managing to kill various crewmates in Sussus Moogus without getting suspicions, and, in Legacy, managing to successfully sabotage MIRA HQ.

Henry[]
Henry Stickmin is the main protagonist of the Henry Stickmin series. Like in the original VS. Impostor, he will be the main opponent in his own week once again.
Appearance[]
Henry is a humanoid stick figure with a round white head, simple black lines for his torso, arms and legs, white hands, and eyebrows that float above his head. Henry wears brown shoes in all his appearances.

Boy Keething Freund[]
Boy Keething Freund (official name currently unknown) is the upcoming player character for Henry's Week.
Appearance[]
Boy Keething Freund appears as a sitck figure with features similar to Boyfriend, such as the blue hair, eyebrow, and shoes. The hat however, while still red, is a different type of hat compared to the one Boyfriend normally wears.

Sleepy[]
Sleepy is an unused character located in the source code files for VS. Impostor. There is not much known about him.
Appearance[]
Sleepy appears as a crudely black bunny with floppy ears, a red dot nose, one eye being a white circle and the other being a crudely drawn red X, and he has a toothy grin.

- Girlfriend was a Noisemaker and Orange was a Guardian Angel.
- Just like the original VS. Impostor, the official developers behind Among Us have acknowledged this mod.[11]
- There are no plans to include the Triple Trouble/Triffle characters (Maroon, Gray and Pink).[12]
