Vs. Tails.Exe is a fan-made mod made by Teles where it is theoretically a prequel to Vs. Sonic.Exe where Boyfriend battles against Tails and his soul counterpart. It currently contains a Story Mode and freeplay songs and a secret one.

Miles "Tails" Prower is the deuteragonist of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. He is Sonic's best friend and sidekick.
Appearance[]
Tails is a yellow anthropomorphic fox with yellow fur, three head tufts, a white furry torso and muzzle, and wearing red shoes and white gloves. He also has his iconic twin tails on his back. His expression is noticeably sad with a tear on his eye. In V1, his sprites are a recolored copy of his soul counterpart, even up to his animations.
In Starshine, he appears as a starry image in the sky, worried for his best friend who sulks alone.

Tails.EXE or Soul Tails is Tails after he falls as the first victim to Sonic.EXE, being killed in the middle of Chasing.
Appearance[]
Soul Tails looks like Tails, but his fur color has shifted to gray, and both of his eyes are missing, the sockets dripping with blood. He appears to have an X-shaped scar over his right eye, potentially alluding to what the censor bar over his eyes in Too Slow might have been covering up. His right hand and tips of both his tails have been torn off. In his down animation, his eyes turn into a single glaring red eye.

Knuckles.EXE or Soul Knuckles is the third opponent of the mod and an antagonist in the Sonic.EXE creepypasta. He is Knuckles after being the 2nd victim of Sonic.EXE and is the opponent in Rivals, going against Pico.
Appearance[]
Knuckles is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur, maroon shoes, and white gloves with spikes coming out of their fists. Compared to regular Knuckles, Soul Knuckles' once-vibrant red fur has desaturated to a brick color, and his eyes are now black sockets, which seem to be leaking some kind of inky black substance. His mouth is highly deformed, and merges with his eyes in all of his poses. His left arm has also been severed off. He is also seen with a cowboy hat and a microphone on his hand.
Robotnik.EXE or Soul Robotnik is the fourth opponent of the mod and an antagonist in the Sonic.EXE creepypasta. He is Doctor Eggman after being the third victim of Sonic.EXE and is the opponent in Reverie, going against Daddy Dearest

Soul Robotnik appears as a dead version of Doctor Eggman with his skin ripped of his head and having a brain poking out from his head and right eye socket. Unlike his common depiction, he is seen fitted with cybernetics, with half of his body covered in a robotic dark metal skin, having two full robotic arms and a red eye.

Sonic.EXE is the last opponent the mod, and the main antagonist of his titular creepypasta, appearing alongside Soul Tails, his first victim.

Sonic.EXE appearance is similar to his appearance in Vs. Sonic.EXE, the only difference is that his red eyes are more brighter, and his arms and legs have darkened sections rising from his gloves and shoes respectively.

Coughing Tails is a joke character based on the final scene of Part 5 of Sonic Mania Adventures in which Sonic, Tails, Mighty and Ray are eating chili dogs, and then Tails chokes with the chili dog. He serves as the main opponent in Coughing and Octane.

Coughing Tails physically resembles his base counterpart except he is styled in the Sonic Mania Adventures style and having a shocked expression while holding a chili dog. In V1, he appears as a bouncing PNG image of him choking from said scene.

Boyfriend has several differences in his clothes, keeping his blue pants however. In addition, he has more radical hair, fingernails painted blue, a left earring, and a more confident expression. He wears a pinker red cap with a gray brim and an orange triangle sticker on the side; a gray zip-up vest and a bright red prohibition sign print underneath a white blouse with a fluffy hood; gray fingerless gloves accompanying a golden microphone; orangish boots that resemble those from Week 5.

Xenophanes is the new, official incarnation of X, better known as Sonic.EXE, and was one of the main opponents in Sidekick, but he got removed in V2 and replaced by his original counterpart.

Xenophanes appears identically as he is from the mod. The only difference is that he has a dark red glow.

- Xenophanes was not removed from the mod due to the new ban list of GameBanana, he was removed because Teles hates him.

Metal Sonic is an occasional main antagonist/rival of the Sonic series, and the last to die by the hands of Sonic.EXE, merely being affected alongside his master, Robotnik. He was supposted to be a playeble character on the song Metallize, but he got scrapped due to the cancelation of the mod.
Fang the Sniper, also known as Nack the Weasel or Fang the Hunter, is a character in the Sonic Franchise and one of Sonic's enemies, first appearing in Sonic Chaos. He was going to star in his own song against Sonic.

Gameplay Mechanics[]
- Health Drain: After his transformation in Chasing, and after the first two turns of Darkness, Tails will drain your health as he sings. This is unable to kill the player, but he can bring you down to where missing will kill you. The same thing happens through the entirety of Rivals, Reverie, and Sidekick. (In v1, every time Tails sings, he will drain your health a little. This cannot kill the player, fortunately.)
- Eye Notes: After the halfway point of Chasing, black notes with a Tails' red eye will start to appear. You have to hit these notes to avoid taking massive damage. These notes only appear in Chasing, Darkness, and Sidekick. (In v1, failing to hit these notes will result in an instant blueball, and hitting a SHIT rating on these notes will result in a lot of damage, which is also able to kill you should your health be too low.)
Trivia (General)[]
- In v1, due to having a few notes and health drain in the first part of Chasing, Tails' normal defeat icon is unseen in-game.
- However, if you use debug mode to add more notes, Tails' defeat icon can be seen in-game.
- In v2, however, due to the lack of health drain, Tails' normal defeat icon can be seen. Instead, Knuckles' defeat icon cannot be seen normally in-game due to how much he sings (and due to the lack of hold notes on the player's side).
- Normal Tails' old sprites were an edit of Davidgreen123's Triple Trouble but the cast isn't Dead video.
- Octane's entire song leitmotif is driven from Skyway Octane, a song from Sonic Mania.
- BF's and GF's normal sprites in V1 aren't exclusive to this mod, but rather belong to the engine it uses: the Tr1Ngle Engine, with only the unique sprites being BF and GF in Sidekick.
